The property was a beautifully maintained old manor house with original features and a modern bathroom. Beds were very comfy. Lovely breakfast room looking out onto manicured gardens. Extensive range of continental breakfast options. Plenty if off street parking.

Weren’t able to open the windows - probably due to them being permanently closed to keep out the traffic noise. Maybe consider paying a bit extra for the room with the balcony if you like to sleep with open windows. We solved the issue of the warm room by having the air conditioning on through the night so it was all good.

The breakfast and the port and chocolates in the evening were great. The housekeeper serving breakfast remembered how we liked our coffee and gave some helpful recommendations for activities in Hobart. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The games in the lounge and umbrellas for use if it rains were lovely additions to the guest services provided. The whole ambience of the property is charming and provided for an enjoyable stay.

There was a random pair of thongs under our bed - presumably from a previous guest. The housekeeper who served breakfast spent a lot of time telling guests how busy she was and trying to get them to agree to her not servicing their rooms. She also complained to us about other guests creating extra work by eating breakfast before 7:30 and leaving dishes. She may need a little more training in guest interactions.

Great location not far from the city centre. Easily accessible by car, possibly a bit harder by foot. The continental breakfast provided a great selection & the little dining room was lovely. The apartment was bright, sunny, spacious & well decorated. The beds are huge!

The front bedroom got a bit of road noise. Also if you had young children staying in the 2nd bedroom, the main entrance to the apartment cannot be locked as it is a fire door. Therefore the apartment & the separate bedroom both had a lockable door. Okay for older children but not younger ones. (Perhaps contact the management for a better explanation.)

I loved the overall look of the property. Gardens were beautiful and it was a close walk to the local shops. The bed was a good size for a couple too. I also loved that we got fresh towels and shower mat everyday. The woman who was looking after the place was really friendly and helpful. Overall very quiet which was great as it made the place enjoyable and peaceful as you could hear the birds tweeting.

The mattress was a tad too hard for my liking. I feel like the place needs a bit of warming up like there’s no artwork on the walls or flowers or a plant in the room. The main kitchen sink needed a deep clean. Also better variety of breakfast cereals and perhaps a pastry or two would be much appreciated instead of just the same sourdough every morning. Maybe also making the breakfast time finish at 10 instead of 9 as people on holidays generally tend to sleep in a bit. It was also written in the book in the room that it was 10am but in the kitchen as 9am so something might need to be rectified with that to the same time. The chairs in the garden while I loved sitting out there could also do with a wipe down as there was bird crap on the chair.

The old building has been maintained /kept up to a high standard. We loved the situation location and how handy is was to the city and the surroundings. The room was large and had all we needed. The room was dark to sleep in, so this was a very big plus to the rating of this stay. The jug with coffee/tea was good but could have had a hot chocolate option. I thought the range of breakfast was exceptional and was very well catered for the traveller. The staff member Linda was so thoughtful and helpful, and went over and above to give us information and help if we needed it. The chocolates in the small lounge were also very thoughtful (and delicious).

The large room we had the return trip did not have direct fresh air (unless the door was open). This could have a blind over it, if people like me need blackout rooms to sleep. Everything else was more than we expected.

I want to sum what I liked into a few short words. Simply put the room was huge and provided my partner, and I, with a large amount of space, which does not come often when travelling. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and came with all the amenities one would need for a quiet stay for a night, or two. Free breakfast and free parking was a lovely additional bonus during our stay.

Only issue I could find with the Manor, for Suite 7, was that our bathroom door didn't close when pulled, I had to yank on it shut. So please get that fixed, the bathroom was lovely and clean but that door really needs to be looked at.

Beautiful english country manor feel. Gorgeous four poster bed in a large room. Ample seating in the room. Nice hot, powerful shower. Complimentary continental breakfast which was plentiful. The lady who was running the place was very pleasant too and very informative.

We were in room 1 which was right next to the front door. It was quite noisy when other guests were returning from their night out. This did disturb our sleep a couple of times but other than that there was nothing we didn't like.

Beautiful building in good location. Continental brekky was good. Our unit was fully self contained and had good views. Was 2 bedroom though one was detached from main unit.

A few things needed maintenance. Water was coming through light in bathroom when it rained. We were told owners were aware of it. Good way to start a fire - potentially putting all guests at risk. This was a concern. Oven and cooktop didn't work but there was a temporary hotplate. Bedroom 2 was a separate room divided by a hallway. Hallway access was open to all as it was the access to fire escape.

Everything! The Manor is a stately house and a beautiful place to comeback to after a day sightseeing. The facilities and grounds are very well maintained. The Continental Breakfast was great. Looking over the garden in the morning was a lovely way to start our day.🌷🌷 Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The check in process was seamless. Robert was extremely diligent in making sure we were well informed about access to the property and our room before our arrival, and guest facilities on arrival, which was extremely helpful. 😊

It was on a road that had plenty of cafes and shops to go in, it was very near Cole’s (the local supermarket). The staff that I saw were lovely and kind, Linda was especially sweet to me and the owner Rob was also nice and understanding of my situation. Staying here gave me a relaxing stay as I didn’t have to worry about anything and I could just do things at my own pace. There is also a bus stop practically right outside the manor, although I didn’t use it it was very nice to know that was an option.

I enjoyed it all.
