We loved the setting / location, the historic nature of the property and how the rooms were set out in keeping with this. I personally loved the privacy kittens! The rooms were comfortable and had all the facilities that you would expect of a hotel room. There were also lots of lovely rooms indoors to chill out, read, play a game etc. and the proximity to Yering Station winery was a bonus.

The room could have been a bit cleaner, but I recognise the time pressure between guests. Maybe every few weeks, if a room is not full one day, then an additional deeper clean could be done. The breakfast was good but not amazing. The coffees (1 only) were quite small (although one staff member found us bigger mugs on request). The food was really good, but not a huge choice and no continental options (pastries etc.). The food was lovely but we've had better choice at similarly sized establishments. Surprised that there were no chairs for sitting outside in the gardens (under a tree), and that the pool was not serviceable in the middle of summer. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the downstairs spaces too.

Breakfast was in the cafe/conservatory. The location was pleasant overlooking the gardens. Breakfast range was good, varied and well presented.

The reception staff let the place down. We were not told that the wine tasting next door was included. We are in our 70's and were not offered assistance with our luggage which we had to carry up stairs to our rooms. There was a mix-up with the room keys. When we were leaving, Melanie from housekeeping assisted us with our luggage sending it down in the dumb waiter. I must complain about the smell in our room. It smelt very strongly of seafood. On Saturday we raised the issue with Melanie and she had the fridge cleaned out. This wasn't done on Friday before we arrived. The cleaning staff should have reported it and done more to fix it.

The hotel included breakfast and was great value for money. The rooms were decorated with antiques and there was plenty of period style furniture in common rooms. The staff were helpful and extremely friendly. There are restaurants on the premises to dine in. Overall an enjoyable stay.

The most disappointing thing was the gardens were neglected, not looking as beautiful as they used to be. Full time gardeners are needed to preserve the beautiful established gardens .That will enhance the appearance of the front garden in front of the hotel.

Warm welcome at Reception including guided tour of ground floor and historic information. Receptionist carried all bags to the rooms. Size, amenities and cleanliness of the room was excellent. Continued interaction with the staff during the evening, plus being able to sit on the verandah enjoying the view was lovely.

For the price paid, it was disappointing that breakfast was limited to one orange juice, one coffee, etc... and breakfast range was poor.

The room we were allocated was wonderful with the French doors opening out to a private patio leading onto overgrown country cottage style garden. Incredibly beautiful and tranquil. The room and bathroom were very large and beautifully appointed. Unfortunately a plug for the kettle wasn't immediately obvious so we had to boil it in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good.

If you look carefully, you’ll notice the property is sadly in need of some general maintenance and painting and the swimming pool is woefully neglected and unswimmable.

Excellent stay, highly recommend to others. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was great , location was idyllic, the staff member who took my phone call to clarify the stay was absolutely lovely , it’s a shame I didn’t get her name to send a thank you note ….she locked us in a nice room with gorgeous views and recommended some lovely places to visit for my family … lovely lady …if you read this , thank you again!

Found the other staff to not be as helpful or engaging for a hotel I would expect better …. There is 1 lady that is outstanding but can’t recall her name unfortunately ….I think it would be great if the staff could improve on their engagement piece …. Just my nitty picky constructive feedback … overall excellent stay I highly recommend !!!

Beautiful location and the house had old world charm. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was very good.

Not a great criticism but the TV in the room was very small. I understand why they have it housed within a cupboard, which means only a certain size TV can fit in there, but it was an effort to get the best out of the TV as it was small and too far a distance, when sitting on the bed to watch.

Breakfast was great. A bit of a wait one of the days as fully booked. The room wasnt serviced but very happy to provide what we needed when we asked. The hotel was very busy however you didnt realise how many people were staying until you went for breakfast. Room was spacious and nice to have an outdoor place to sit. Excellent place nearby all the vineyards.

The history and surroundings of Chateau Yering. close to other attractions as well . The land and ground are great, well maintained . Nice to wake up and see cows grazing . The Yering Station next to Chateau Yering very good for visit, the winery and of course wine tasting ,

The WiFi in our room did not work but we had WiFi in the other areas. The property is well maintained inside , some aging on the verandahs and chairs to sit on would move our score to 10.

The rooms were luxurious and very comfortable.

The breakfast staff was not friendly. We asked for just mushrooms and spinach and tomatoes as my partner was vegan and they bought him eggs!!!! For this type of accommodation the breakfast should have been buffet style or at least no prices on the menu. I think you should be able to choose 2 things off menu or do it like a continental breakfast or americano. Also no biscuits with tea and coffee facilities in room.
