It was the cutest little cottage with beautiful views! Our toddler loved exploring the grounds, seeing the wildlife and playing on the little playground. The owners offered us a cot at no extra cost and the property was completely safe for a 2 year old - including providing a fire gate for the usable wood heater (and cut up firewood ready to go). Perfect little getaway for our Mother's Day weekend before baby no. 2 arrives 🥰

The interior was a little dark and outdated, it didn't bother us at all as it kept with the cottage charm but if others are expecting modern then maybe this isn't for you.

On a lovely, large property but still felt like we were the only ones there. The cottage had everything we needed for a short term stay, information from the owners was very good and we were left alone to manage our stay ourselves.

The cottage could benefit from some care and attention. Bench tops in the kitchen and bathroom need resurfacing and some of the taps need replacing. There was two torches but neither was charged and we couldn't find charging cables. Adding wi-fi to the property would also make a difference.

Beautiful setting. We loved the flower gardens around our cottage and the gardens in the grounds of the property. Cottages are well spread out so it feels very private. Cottages are really spacious and clean. Very comfortable.

One tiny criticism - it would have been good to have a toilet separate to the bathroom. Can be a little tricky with multiple people staying in the cottage.

Amazing location out in the countryside yet close to everything we needed. extremely quiet & peaceful. extremely relaxing.

the kitchen was basic, just lacked small items that would of made cooking and our stay more comfortable. only 1 wine glass, no extra pantry items like sauce. A salad bowl.

It was a very homey place, a bit old but very clean. There was a lot of attention to small details that made it more comfortable such a supplied breakfast. A whole loaf a fresh bread, two litres of milk, cereal sachets, butter packs, and jam sachets so we were well set up. There was a good supply of kindling and firewood. The shower and hot water were fantastic. The reverse cycle heater has been turned on prior to our arrival. The gardens were mown, there were bunnies hopping about which would be a delight for children. Each little cottage was private with its own verandah and fenced little front garden of flowering bulbs.

More tea bags, the wood burner is a bit old and needs a bit of attention. The cover cover was loose and banged in the intense storm but no doubt completely fixed by now

Grant was nice enough to wait for us to arrive late & give us a late check out as I was admitted to hospital.

The only thing we were not happy with was that we arrived on the hottest day of summer and was told we were not aloud to use the pool until 11am following day due to chemicals being put in the pool. I find that having kids and a lot of people it was frustrating to say the least as of how hot it was and the house only had 1 air conditioner.

The surroundings and grounds were beautiful, the lake was gorgeous and the flowers were stunning with the lilly pads during the second week of January. Child friendly, my daughter enjoyed looking at the animals and feeding them. Very relaxing. The spa was awesome probably better to use in the cooler months but I still enjoyed relaxing in it in summer. I should of used cooler water! Management responded to my message sent and stated the issue with the shower door would be fixed.

The bathroom was country style barn like it was fabulous. Unfortunately the shower door had to be lifted on entering as it had dropped and was difficult to open. It was a pity the pool was only open in the afternoon only for a few hours, longer hours in summer would have been better.

Wonderful sprawling property with plenty of room inside and out. Close to Healesville sanctuary and shops/restaurants. Option to light an open fire as well as electric heater and we did as it was freezing!

No electric blankets on any beds.

This was the perfect getaway. The grounds were so beautiful and the cottage was clean and cosy. I was worried I might be cold at night, but even turning the heater off before bed, I was snug and toasty all night. I'll definitely be recommending them to friends and hope to come back soon.

Loved the surrounds, really peaceful and serene. The layout of the cottage was perfect, didn’t need to disturb someone who may have been sleeping. Enjoyed seeing the Goats. Nice to have the food supplied, very handy. Bunnies everywhere, very cute. We were going to a festival, we needed chairs and Grant was very helpful with advice.

Beds were very very uncomfortable. This could be resolved with a good Topper. A little Laundry powder could have been handy. A screen on the Laundry door would help the air circulation during hot spells, helping to keep the mozzies out.
