I arrived late and was able to have my room waiting for me. I called on my way and was able to have the key ready so I wouldn't be a disturbance to staff at late arrival. This was not a problem with staff on phone, very accommodating. Room had some breakfast options which was a fantastic thing as I was leaving early and would need something before I got on the road.

Not being able to have a longer look around the area, only saw a small mount as I was driving through Main St on my way out of town.

Location close to town. RSL , Woodside Beach & Tarra Valley parks, It was well lit at night ensuring safety Cleanliness exceptional -in our room & poolside Bath towels were luxuriously soft ! Bed was very comfortable & good size shower with strong water flow & hot water. Nice touch having toaster & microwave in room Breakfast box was a bonus & convenient to have in room We received a very genuine & warm welcome & farewell - We will definately be staying at Ship Inn Motel again !

Fantastic Hosts!!!! The place and rooms were spotless. Glasses polished. Beautiful spotless white crisp linen. New TV, new shower fitting. Nothing was out of place and the gratuity breakfast was replaced daily for 2 despite me being a solo guest. I have never stayed anywhere so clean when I came back in the evening. I had a drink on the night I arrived so couldn't drive into the town for some takeaway. The Hosts had ordered Puzza for themselves and delivered free Pizza to my room so I had a meal. WOW!! ... and no charge! Seriously impressive and stupidity cheap. I pay much more for less regularly. These Hosts need an Award!!!

What a great place. The owners were wonderful, They were able to accomodate my last minute, late check-in, with added concern for me getting there safely in the rural Aussie dark :) The room was larger than I could have expected with everything I needed. Excellent value. The Inn and Yarram were a suprising bonus on my roadtrip . The Heesco murals throughout the town, and at the Inn itself, add a charm to the town that can't be matched.

I was surprised by how comfortable my stay was. The room was spotlessly clean. It did not have any smells. It may have been an older Motel, but it was an enjoyable stay for me. I had a comfortable bed. I liked the chair with the foot rest so you could watch T.V. If you wanted. There was also cereal breakfast if you wanted to eat before you left. Staff were very approachable and helpful. I would stay again.excellent value for the money paid.

The effort they put in to make the room clean and comfortable. The room has a split system, so we were able to keep warm, and the little packaged breakfasts were thoughtful. Whilst we opted to eat at the local bakery instead, I felt it was a nice gesture for the price paid.

I was fine with everything, what I expect modern day morons to sook about is that it's outdated. Honestly, don't pay under $150 and then whinge about BS like that.

The check in was seamless. The lady, the owner I think had a very happy disposition. She asked what my plans were during my stay in the area and then showed me a map and made a couple of suggestions. Even highlighted on the map so I didnt get confused. Bed was comfy and hot water good

There were a few little bugs in the room.

I liked the parking, tea, coffee, and breakfast pack, the easy access, friendly but not intrusive staff, the nice warm reverse cycle air conditioning, and most of all, the deep, restful, and refreshing sleep due to the comfortable bed, clean and quality linen, and the light warm quilt. I am also grateful for the awareness and quick response when I rang to report that I had left an MP3 player of high sentimental value behind and within two days it had been returned to me.

Bad review process. What really turned me off was the belligerent, superior, and righteous, judgmental, patriarchal attitude and implementation inherent in the Google Review system by failing to remove bad reviews entirely due to previous owners. Google run their review process with the same types of attitude that prevailed during the Spanish Inquisition - they are failing to fact check in a timely and appropriate manner. Speaking to people in the town, the current owners have turned the ship around (pun intended) and they do not deserve a review process tainted by the former owners. I would also have liked the restaurant to be available but totally understand how Covid, and especially the Melbourne lockdowns, have destroyed much of the finer aspects of life that we enjoyed pre-Covid.

The free breakfast box for each of us was excellent - cereal, milk, real juice pack, tub of two fruits and a museli bar. The room was a reasonable size and clean. Room was quite well sound-proofed.

Not keen on bathroom arrangement through sliding door from main room which didn't seal. The door which separated the toilet from the rest of the bathroom did not extend to the floor or ceiling. Could be a better set up.

Jody and Paul, were absolutely lovely and very approachable. The pool was great considering, when we came back from, exploring the various attractions to find out there was a power outage. Temperatures reaching close to 40 degrees.

The shower. It would constantly run hot and cold. Then poor pressure to high pressure.
