This place is fantastic! The rooms look like they have been recently renovated, with the carpets feeling like you are walking on a cloud. The beds are comfortable and large. The bathroom is spacious and well thought out, the complimentary bathroom products are fantastic and some of the nicest we have come across on our trip. The breakfast in the morning is a nice added bonus to your stay. The location in Traralgon is great, on the highway and close enough to everything with a short drive to most places. The staff are friendly and approachable, and they really added to this amazing place. We were really happy staying here, and would happily stay again.

In terms of motels, the black bull is top of the range. The room was spacious and had nice touches like hersheys chocolates and old fashioned bottles of milk. The bathroom was renovated and the owners displayed a value for sustainability by using Thankyou soaps and WGAC toilet paper. Bed was really comfortable and staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room was sun filled and had lots of nice breakfast options not just your regular run of the mill toast and cereal. I would stay again for sure.

The hot water tap was boiling hot straight away which could be really unsafe for little ones using the shower or sink.

What great accommodation. What can I say... Paul was more than helpful with a late check-in and then a text in the morning to let us know about breakfast. What a lovely breakfast it was to. The room was newly renovated, very clean, and had everything my family needed for our overnight stay. Needless to say, we were extremely happy with our stay. It is one of the best places we've stayed and great value at $169 for a Sunday night stay.. Our next stay in Traralgon will definitely be with The Black Bull. If there was anything, it was that the bed was too soft for my husband and I. But still comfortable..

Our group felt most welcome by ALL of the happy, friendly staff. Our rooms were so spacious, the bathrooms had loads of bench space and were well set out. We absolutely loved the sliding glass doors giving access to the rear garden. Everyone enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Thank you so much. We had booked a Queen room and unexpectedly given a King which we appreciated. The shower needs to be updated due to old grouting otherwise we had a very comfortable room. Great supply of bathroom necessities welcomed large dispensers of shampoo etc. Motel has a breakfast room which is bright and airy situated on the 1st floor. Good breakfast included cereal, yogurt, fruit, variety of condiments and breads for toasting and cheese and ham. Room also had microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge with crockery so well catered for if bring your own breakfast. Plenty of parking and easy walking to town. Close to hwy however we had a very quiet room. Hosts were very friendly. I left behind a charger and they were happy to forward home.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable good size room. Friendly host. Excellent complimentary continental breakfast - toasts, waffles, cereal, fruit, juice & coffee. Our room opens up onto the pool area which we really like. But best of all - we could fill our kettle under the tap! A simple pleasure which unfortunately not many motels have the sense to provide smaller kettles like The Black Bull has done! Close to shops. Loved our stay! Thank you!

we stayed around 2 years ago and was so disappointed not only did I have to go and buy cleaning products to clean the spa we also had a rude manager as well. they said breakfast included but very blunt telling us no. However the new owners were totally the opposite and ( even tho spa rooms were not renovated as yet ) they were super clean and hot water was great. breakfast was all fresh and nice and light. we didn’t realise new had booked the same motel and were worried but will be back for sure. can’t wait to see the new spa rooms.

Loved my stay here. The staff were lovely and our stay was of a surprisingly high standard for the $. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend it. The room was spacious with a big glass sliding door to an outside garden area which meant you didn't feel like you were in a box (unlike lot's of other motels). The bed/pillows were very comfortable with two big comfortable chairs to watch TV in.. The breakfast room is beautifully renovated and once again the service and food could not be faulted. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of this motel.

There is nothing I didn't like about my stay.

Well appointed, smartly decorated room. Lovely modern bathroom. Plenty of coffee/tea etc and even had a couple of packets of biscuits to enjoy plus a little chocolate. Heating worked well as was a cold night. Easy access to our ground floor room. Didn't have the complementary brekkie as wanted to get away early but this is a nice bonus.

Wasn't keen on the glass window in the bathroom, even though couldn't see through it. The light shone in there all night. Maybe a roller blind would be a great addition.

Clean and renovated bathroom. Having a small dining table and our own balcony was nice. Free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Netflix/Prime Video available. Free continental breakfast included in the room price, variety of breads catering for dietary needs, waffles and crumpets. Parking was convenient. Good value for money.

Not much except that breakfast time finished at 9am, not ideal for late-risers.
