Excellent location, clean room, good breakfast.

The staff at the restaurant asked tip when we finished a small dish ( a soup for me and spaghetti for my husband). He insisted to write the amount of tip on the paper and sign it. We gave him generous tip but never back for dinner again. It turned us off.

Good location and view

The hotel has three buildings and they never notice where you will be stayed before you check in. If you are placed in the second or third building then you will be very upset for sure. And I believe that the hotel should inform this.

Location is great, The view is nice quiet and clean.

When I arrived the employee Simon gave us our room’s key which was there people already and I walked on them. It was very embarrassing for me. No air conditioner in the room and it was hot.

Location was right across from Hallstatt ferry station, also my room was in the main building, facing the lake, so I did not have to move around Hallstatt with all my luggage. The bathroom was fine (it had a bathtub) with proper washing products ( soap, shampoo, etc), also they provided slippers which you don`t see often nowadays. Breakfast was good, buffet style, so do not expect a lot of variety during your stay.

The price was a little higher for what they offered, I stayed in better hotels which they charged far less, but then again you are staying in a heritage building. Like all other reviewers said the hotel does not have AC, which can be a problem, because in the morning the sun shines right in your face (if you have a room with lake view) and the room can get very hot really quick. On the other hand in the afternoon the room was unbelievable cool.

The location was very good, right next to the ferry boat landing from the train on the opposite shore of the lake, and right in the very centre of the town. The room was large and clean, the breakfast offering was of generous variety, all the staff were professional and friendly.

Due to unusually high lake water level, the ferry for the return trip to the train on the opposite shore was cancelled. We had to take a bus to continue onwards on our travels but the hotel's shuttle bus would not or could not take us to the bus station so we walked from the hotel to the station. It was okay in the end and the circumstances (very heavy rains) were a very rare occurrence so the hotel probably had not considered including the bus station in their shuttle service.

The views, and location. And i really appreciate the early check-in.

Asked reception for an iron in the evening and was told that their housekeeping is not available at that time but would have an iron sent up to my room at 8am the next day. My room number was noted down and the reception repeated it several times. Room number + 8am. Past 8am, still no iron and no contact ,, i called up the reception only to be told that there is no iron . What annoys me is not the lack of iron, but rather the service here. Had i not called, i would have wasted more time than necessary in my room waiting. The hotel could have called up to my room at 8 and say that they have misinformed. Room is generally abit dated, toilet has a peculiar smell.

Excellent hotel in the very center of Hallstatt. We liked almost everything. The rooms are great and there are no issues with them at all. We had a room with a balcony, I recommend choosing this one.

erhaps the pillows were not very comfortable and during check out you have to wait 20 minutes for the transport that will take you to the parking. Also, it's worth noting that if you have a pet, the bus might not take you and the manager will suggest you 'take a walk' in the literal sense. I think the hotel should pay attention to this to improve the stay with pets."

The hotel provided plenty of information regarding parking before we arrived so we found it very easy to locate. The location was spectacular, the room was clean, neat and very spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The highlight was the view, it was beautiful, there was no need for television, we couldn't stop looking at the view.

Not really a negative, more of a hiccup. The hotel has more than one building so we were taken to the main building to check in then had to walk back to a different building for access to our room, it wasn't a problem once we saw the view from our room but did mean we were separated from the friends we were travelling with and we had to go back to the main building for breakfast. It was not an issue for us but may be for someone who has trouble navigating the walk.

The location and the view is excellent. The room is clean and comfortable.

When checked out, front desk staff was very busy with lot of guests checking out don’t have time to book the shuttle to the parking lot for us.
