It was amazing time in Arcotel Castellani! Rooms are modern and tastefully furnished. Hotel staff - friendly! Very clean))) The location is very suitable for tourists,10 min. by bus, or by train, but you can also walk there.

no refrigerator in the room I think that in 4-star hotel should not have a refrigerator (regardless of the price of the room)

The car park was out of the room expense. We payed 15euro more per night

Everything was very good - service, room, breakfast.

Issues we faced - water in shower changes by itself from hot to cold and back randomly, WiFi coverage is very poor - one bedroom room didn’t have signal at all, and the biggest issue - is the fan coil: thermostats in both rooms didn’t work properly - I set it up to 18 degrees, cold mode turned on, fan blowing but not cold. In these conditions we couldn’t sleep two nights because it was too hot. Only by morning around 5 am fan started to blow cold air. Parking on the territory is not cheap and unexpected local tax.

The staff is polite and professional. The bartender was very attentive to us and knew how to do his job. The room I stayed in was large, clean, quality bedding. I can say that I will come back.

Unfortunately I couldn't sleep because the air conditioner was very noisy and I tried to sleep with the window open, but the windows of the room were facing the inner courtyard and the hotel allowed other guests to stay in the courtyard and make noise until 1 am . At 7 in the morning, they started setting up the tables in the courtyard and there was noise again. The hotel must establish clear rules for the use of the courtyard/terrace, which is gorgeous, but which can produce a disturbing noise for those whose windows face the courtyard. In the bathroom, the water mix was very bad, sometimes cold, sometimes very hot. I got scalded a few times when I took a shower.

Nice hotel in a great setting very close to the city with parking on site. The room I had was nice, AC, very small bathroom but okay, the rest of the room was nice and you are not staying in the (bath)room all day in Salzburg (hopefully!)

Small bathroom as mentioned already - might not be the case for all rooms. The staff is friendly but young and not always with the focus on the guest but rather on themselves. Giggling and joking around with or chatting with each other while you sit and wait for a drink at the bar. Once you have their attention, they are friendly. Nothing really that cannot be fixed with a bit of training...:) One also realizes it is a short stay, chain hotel, in a 100% tourist city, you don't need to cater to a return customer....

The room was clean and comfortable. Little touches like the coffee machine, chocolates on our pillows and shower essentials were a nice touch. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Toasting machine was very slow but they always are. The staff were very helpful and went beyond to cater for our children (5 and 9) There is a small but very good gym which was great and open early until late which was great.

Our shower although very nice (great pressure and spacious) overflowed when in use. We found by removing the plug cover it sorted the problem. Faulty design perhaps as there was no sign of blockage

We really enjoyed our stay at this very nice hotel! The room was modern and nicely furbished, very clean and we had a phantastic view. The hotel has a beautiful garden where we could have coffee and breakfast. The location is perfect and easy to find and public transport to the city centre is very close. Breakfast was delicious with everything you needed. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay and highly recommendable!

It should be better communicated that parking is not free. I wasn't aware of this when I was booking the room.

Very nice hotel with luxury rooms! We liked our room a lot! It was comfortable and clean. The view was very nice with the opposite mountain. The shower was very nice and their beds were maybe the best mattresses we slept on! We liked them so much we even took a photo of their models to search for them and buy them! Something else we liked was that we came two hours before our check-in time to leave our bags and because the room was ready they gave us the room two hours earlier! We also liked that they had a kettle with two mugs in the bedroom! 15 minutes walk to the center and near the bus stop!

The only thing that we didn't like was that you couldn't stop the AC and it was a bit hot at night (21 degrees though all the time!)

Excellent location - close to the old town, approx. 20 minutes' walk - breakfast is excellent - special praise to the breakfast staff, especially Mr. Abbal

The staff at check-in - I'm asking the hotel management to work on it - they don't give me any information, not even for breakfast, even when I don't want to list it, there's a lot - why does a 4-star hotel not have a refrigerator in the room, i.e. it's there, but it's literally screwed up - so I wouldn't walk around for drink no doro - I'm not sure I'll come again

Alexander was very helpful right from the beginning. We were traveling by car and needed secure parking. Castellani provided just that. Alexander e-mailed back and forth with us assisting us with all our questions. Upon arrival we had a lovely dinner, the Wiener Schnitzel was exquisite. Beware the kitchen closes at 21:00. The bed was comfy and the hotel surroundings very quiet.

The night receptionist made us feel very unwelcome. The behaviour could be described as rude.
