Location is good. The receptionist is so kind. The room is clean.
No parking around. We had to carry out our luggage by ourselves from the city central parking. No restaurant in the hotel (they only serve breakfast). The charged me with €45 for my son just to sleep in the sofa that is already in the room! One funny/awkward incident happened that show disrespect: I was waiting with my family for the elevator and the owner was talking with one of the guest, once the elevator arrived he ask us to wait as he has important thing, then jump with the other guest and took the elevator that we were waiting :\

Best location in old town, just 5 minutes walk to the Dom, St. Peter’s Abbey, the funicular, Mozart’s house. The interior decor is very thoughtful and modern yet elegant. Saima and Britta are brilliant innkeepers who will take care of every detail to make your Salzburg stay most memorable. This boutique hotel is on a famous cobblestone street in the heart of old town. We took a taxi from the train station and it was 12.40 euros by meter—though the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, taxis can drive in. There are restaurants, cafes, bakeries, Mozart chocolate shops galore. If you need a break from Austrian cuisine, try Do Do’s around the corner for noodle soups or curry. You know how you get that “weak security” message when you sign into most hotel’s wifi? Not here—this hotel uses Apple wifi. Even though the Dom church is just a few steps away, don’t worry about losing sleep when the bells ring out because the double windows make the room completely soundproof. If you are going to Salzburg to see the historical sights, don’t even think twice about it—just book this hotel and enjoy your visit!

A very central hotel in the midst of old town Salzburg. Mirabell palace within 8-10 minutes walking distance. Even closer to the rail to the castle, if you don’t prefer to walk, that is. Shopping around the corner. Very nice room with artistic details and preserved details from the origin of the building in a nice combination. Good space even in my single room. Shower 80*100cm. Very comfy. The room had AC. Breakfast was good. They boiled or scrambled the eggs at your wish. And very important, they made the coffee you wanted. Liked by me who want an espresso or two after breakfast. You could get as many as you wished. The staff was generally very helpful and did what they could when I arrived and the streets was closed off and crowded due to festival. Therefore I recommend to park in a parking house beforehand. It’s only five minutes walk to the garage, and you have a discount on the fee when you stay in the hotel.
A little bit noisy, but never mind it’s an old house and most people actually stuck to the rules to stay quiet at night

Definitely a 10. Joseph, the owner and his team are top notch and service. You are welcome to the moment you arrive. We had very significant issues that had nothing to do with the Hotel. Joseph went to extreme lengths to help us resolve our issues. Totally unexpected and amazing. The rooms are perfect, spacious and clean. Breakfast has considerable variety and is tasty! The hotel is located in the.Goldgasse District, which is a walking pedestrian only area. This location is within walking distance to everything in old historic Salzburg.
Nothing at all comes to mind.

The location is great! Right in the literal middle of Old Town. The breakfast buffet and hot offerings were good.
Because it's in the middle of Old Town finding it was a little bit of a challenge in our car. You can't drive into Old Town so you have to call the hotel from the gate and get a code to enter before you can drive in. You can't park in Old Town so after dropping off our luggage we had to take the car to a parking garage and walk back to the hotel. It worked out but was confusing. Also, our room was small and very minimalist. At first we didn't like it but it grew on us and ended up being fine.

Boutiquehotel am Dom is a hidden gem in a perfect quaint location. We were a 10-20-minute walk from all of our destination spots (some were found by accident). The owners greeted us with a smile every time we walked in and always willing to help us with our questions. Even our initial electronic communications prior to arrival, were prompt and clear including directions, maps, expectations, etc. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious including fresh eggs made to order; a great way to start the day. The room was clean and quiet; you would never know they were fully booked. We would totally recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
I don't have any complaints or recommendations for improvement.

I flew in from West Africa for my first visit to Austria and my daughter chose & made all arrangements so I hadn’t a clue. The hotel is tucked into a quiet cul de sac, within walking distance of everywhere interesting. I slept like a log in a comfy bed (it wasn’t stuffy) literally beneath a tree (love the ceiling beams). Brigitte & the entire team were very welcoming & helpful: for everything (directions, adaptor, restaurants etc). Don’t miss breakfast - a great selection & value for money. I came to Salzburg for the Sound of Music tour but I’d come again just for the hotel.
Once I reported that the tv remote control didn’t work properly they were quick to resolve it.

The location, room and staff were faultless. The hotel has only 12 rooms and is located right in the middle of the most chic area of Salzburg, with great restaurants, cafes and shops right on the doorstep. We were there for New Years and the Christmas markets were still operating in the square less than 100m away. We had 2 rooms and our kids were comfortable (and happy!) to have their own room on a separate floor as the hotel felt very safe and secure. The rooms were well appointed, and the bathrooms particularly stylish and clean. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is a great place to stay.

Fantastic Gem! Family owned and run. One of the daughters Britta looked after us. She helped with luggage restaurants, taxis and any other information you may need. Since the hotel is only small there is no waiting in lines you are looked after straight away. The rooms are large modern and extremely well appointed. Lighting and ventilation excellent. They have a lift in a historic building which is a great plus for international travellers. Comfortable beds and location cannot be beaten right in the centre of the old town of Salzburg. Excellent breakfast too at very reasonable prices!
Nothing! This place is exceptional!

Excellent boutique hotel, ideally located to discover Salzburg or attend the Festival. The rooms are tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. This staff is warm and attentive and made sure I wouldn’t have any problem entering the hotel and getting to my room even though I arrived by 1 or 2am.
Very little. Rates aren’t cheap, obviously, but there aren’t many hotels that are so well located.
