Well! The location is perfect - you step out of the hotel and directly into an Old Town postcard on one side, and a stone throw from the 'newer' part of the city across the river on the other. We arrived several hours before we were due to check-in, but the concierge/manager(?) said he'd have a look to see if we could get in early, and fifteen minutes later we were in. Our room was large, and beautiful, and we had a slice of view of the river (and the courtyard). After settling in we went for a wander and returned to a complimentary fruit platter and bubbles, which perfectly capped our first day. We'd splashed out on including breakfast and... crikey, we were full - definitely something for everybody and I tried it all. The bathroom was large and equally nice (good size shower). All in all, it was a great stay, and I'd go back in a heart beat.

If I have to stretch for something, it's that the room was a little dark - lots of lights, but the windows were small... But I'm really pushing it to find fault.

The hotel is in a fantastic location in the old town - everything is walkable. Our room was very large and light and the bed extremely comfortable. Nice big bathroom and separate toilet. Everything very clean. Very nice breakfast with plenty of choices in a pleasant sunny dining room. We enjoyed our two-night stay here. The porter was extremely helpful in taking bags up to our room as there are steps to navigate in this old building, and again in assisting us to the taxi.

The room was very hot, but fortunately the double glazed windows can be opened. There was also a droning mechanical noise that mysteriously came and went, but it did not disturb our sleep. Many of the reception desk staff seem to be new hires who, while polite, are a bit confused and unconfident. On our first night we were told there was no need to make a reservation for dinner in the cafe attached to the hotel (the restaurant is apparently permanently closed) but when we arrived the manager quite rudely said they could not possibly accommodate us as the kitchen was too busy, even though it was mostly empty - and seemed to be empty every time we passed.

I liked everything about the hotel. From Salzburg station to the hotel was about 10 mins on the bus and a short walk. Walking is about 20 mins. The hotel is tastefully decorated. I’m told it’s about 700 years old. Several nice corners to sit and relax. One walks straight from the hotel’s back entrance onto streets full of shops and eating places. I booked a standard room which was nice enough but got upgraded to a superior room. Very spacious room and bathroom, and there was of a selection of fruits, compliments of the hotel when I arrived in my room. Bed and bedding super comfortable. I was there for my birthday and if I can, I’ll spend future birthdays there whenever possible. Staff - Veera, Djamel, Bishkar and another female staff (whose name I didn’t catch) were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. A big shout out to the staff 👍👏👏👏

Location was great right in the middle of Alstadt. The one recpetionist was exceptional and helped us during our stay and knew the answers to many questions other's did not. I wish I caught his name he was a little older with gray/black hair and light eyes. The room was a great size and comfortable with good amenities.

It is important to know there is a night club next store... we stayed thursday-sunday and it was only really bad on saturday night-- more the yelling people in the streets than the music. Was more difficult to sleep that night but otherwise an excellent stay.

The location of the hotel was excellent.

Mis information about the cost of a taxi from the hotel to the airport. We were going to book an Uber taxi which gave a cost of 20 euros. On enquiring at the hotel desk we were informed that a taxi would cost between 15 and 20 euros and would take 15 minutes. We therefore asked them to book us a taxi. When we got to the airport the taxi fare was 35 Euros. We think that this is high for a 15min ride. If we had known this we would have booked an Uber or got the bus. The front of house staff need to be aware how much a taxi to the airport costs. Luckily we had enough cash left!!

Perfect location in the heart of the old town, the room was spacious and quiet and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast offered a wide selection of quality food, although citrus fruits of Lime and Lemon were in the fruit salad, which spoilt the taste.

Citrus fruits of lime and lemon in the breakfast fruit salad - spoiled it for us. The shower cubical was a bit small and the water mixer had two old style taps, rather than a modern on off with separate temperature adjuster - small point.

Magnificent experience at Radisson Blu Hotel Salzburg! It fascinated me from the first glance, especially the history of the hotel’s building. All the staff were professional and helpful. We felt welcomed and well looked after. My special thanks to Ms. Nehal and Mr. Mohammed, the manager. The breakfast buffet is delicious has good selections of food. The breakfast restaurant has a wonderful view over the salzach river. The one bedroom suit is specious and clean. The location was amazing excellent for city centre, 1 minutes by walk. I’d have no hesitation in staying again. Thanks a lot Radisson Blu Hotel Salzburg, see you soon!

it’s a great location right in the old town and the suites are good value for money. the one we had comprised a separate large living room as well as bathroom and bedroom and it was a generous size and comfortable with large sofa. a dining table and chairs in the room would have been good and there was ample room for one. good quality air conditioning and nice staff. good quality breakfasts.

possibly due to current staff issues the restaurant was closed and the cafe menu was limited. the bath/shower was cramped and dangerous - needed better grab rails and shower curtain. some better lighting and a brighter decoration scheme would have made the suite perfect.

The service from all the Hotel Staff was fantastic. Even the trainee that checked-us in was asking us questions and made sure we were looked after. Exceptional service. I loved the complementary fruit platter on arrival in the room and the view overlooking the river was lovely. The hotel staff gave us suggestions on what to see and do as well which was appreciated. The location is top as you can walk everywhere from the hotel.

The aesthetics of the rooms are beautifully presented in an old style look that fits the 'alt stadt' vibe, however, the bathroom could definitely use with a renovation and remove the shower bath and just have a shower. Very 90's vibe. The amenities in the bathroom were standard Radisson branded products, which for me smell far too strong like chemicals - for the price you pay, it would be nicer to have local products.

Historic and exquisite, with large quiet rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and a superb central location on Old Town. For the money, we had the largest room we’ve ever had in any hotel, and it was quiet and overlooked the river; fantastic!!

Because of this hotel’s age and building arrangement, there are several areas with steps between hotel wings that make hauling luggage a bit challenging. However, staff is there to help!
