The location is incredibly beautiful, overlooking Salzburg and the mountains around it. The property itself is beautiful, you feel like staying on a postcard. Breakfast is amazing, everything you want, and lots of delicious food you didn't even know you wanted to try. The staff is friendly and professional. The water pressure in the shower is another plus.

The only thing I missed was air conditioning. We had to leave the window open overnight and, although silent and dark, it did not provide the perfect night sleep I was looking for. Because it was October, the air outside was cool and helped. I'm not sure if I would be able to stay there during the summer high heat...

Nice location but 20 mins from main Salzburg by car. To get to the hotel is up a steep hill for quite a while and if a car coming the opposite direction you do end up in a stale mate situation waiting for someone to move back. Luckily my husband was driving. I liked the balcony of the room which overlooked Salzburg, mountains and hills. The food we had on our last night was absolutely beautiful and cannot fault. We got there on a Wednesday and restaurant is closed so we had to try and find somewhere to eat which wasn't easy & ended up at a steak house 10 mins away. If have the balcony door open then expect bugs and bites! Cannot fault the staff at all but did find the room small and abit old. No tea/coffee facilities.

We've both come away with bites as had window open at night and bugs came in for a feast. Restaurant was closed the day we arrived and struggled to find somewhere to go and eat. I felt the room to be a bit pokey and oldish but it did its job before coming home.

This was such a beautiful place, upper class provincial atmosphere, with great food. The food was ample at breakfast and dinner 5 star. It is all by itself on a hill above Salzburg, so if you’re looking for social engagement, you won’t find much other than whoever you’re traveling with. but if you wish for warm and friendly staff and some piece with a view then it’s perfect.

I’d say the only drawback is the restaurant was closed for a couple nights (Monday and Tuesday maybe?). so I had to get a car down to town to grab dinner, which was an extra expense. But they gave me recommendations for two places, one was closed, the other was open and turned out to be kinda “old Europe nostalgic” so it all worked out.

Just an outstanding location; this is the primary reason for staying here with all the alternatives in Salzburg. The views of the city and the grounds of the hotel were delightful, as were the public spaces such as the restaurant. The hostess spoke excellent English, and helped us get dinner since the restaurant was closed on this day.

The room was pretty basic. Getting to town and back without a car was a good hike, since it is a couple hundred meters of steep elevation gain. However, it was worth it

Hotel was very beautiful, located in the picturesque place, among the mountains, with view to Salzburg. We had a room with balcony, from where we could admire the city, snowy mountains, scenery like in a magic wonder tale. Room was very clean, beds are comfortable, TV, enough space in the wardrobe for all our stuff. Personal was very helpful, friendly. We enjoyed the stay in this place very much! Great thanks for all the personnel to make our stay perfect!

It was perfect!

This hotel stands at the top of a hill. As its German name (Schone Aussicht) suggests, the view from the hotel on Saltzbourg is superb. This situation means pure air and silence. The building is typical of the region: a big wooden chalet. Years have marked a bit the hotel, but it only adds charm. Fotunately, the place is clean and well-maintained by a dedicated and welcoming team. The room was clean, spacy, and comfortable. The breakfast was generous with products of quality. The scramble eggs were one of the best I have eaten.

The light had to be switched on to use the bathroom, which ignited the airing system. This last was so noisy that I was a bit embarrassed each time for the neighbors, especially early in the morning.

Views from the rooms, veranda and garden were so beautiful. The staff were lovely, the bedrooms were big, clean and bright. Decor had beautiful tradition alpine feel, and the breakfast buffet and dinner menu was excellent. Absolutely loved it! Felt luxurious but not at all pretentious. A special thank you to Karina in reception/management (sorry if I spelt the name wrong) with her huge smile, endless warmth and helpfulness (and fluent in 3 languages!!) - she was the icing on the cake!

Amazing view over the mountains and town, nice staff and good breakfast. Room was spacious and pretty much had everything you need with the exception of a few things. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. Overall good experience :)

No fridge, no AC and if you open the window many insects will come in. Shower area is a bit tight you can't move around much. Location of the hotel is excellent distance wise but driving up to it with narrow roads can be a bit challenging and it's really dark at night, there aren't any lights even in the parking area.

1. The location is great. on top of a hill where you can see the city from above. We saw a beautiful sunsets. 2 The breakfast is good, and if you want you ca take it in your room, by yourself of course. 3 Is a pet friendly location, so our dog had a great time here. 4 At the location are platy of parking sport, for free. No need to worry. 5 the rooms are clean, comfortable and big enough for 2 person and a small dog.

The internet wi-fi has no password so is not really a secure network, but it's work very good.

The view from the hotel is amazing . The rooms are basic but large enough and well equipped. The staff are extremely friendly and we're accomodating throughout our stay . We got engaged in Austria upon returning to the hotel , staff provided us with free glass of prosecco which was a nice touch . We stayed as part of a road trip around Munich . Driving is recommended as it is located in the hills but is also only a short taxi ride into town . I would recommend to stay here .
