The overall experience was great. Wombat's is well located, near to metro stations and close to many sights in Vienna, have a good structure - both for the hostel and the bedroom itself (similar to Wombat's Munich, but it was even better in my opinion) - and friendly hosts. Breakfast was amazing, good quality foods and for everyone (vegan and celiac options). Really enjoyed staying there at Wombat's Vienna.

The same as Munich - I was required to bring my sheets to the reception after the checkout process... but not my blanket. I don't know for sure (but I really hope so) if the blanket is being washed every time a new guest arrives.

It has a lot of shared spaces, such as lobby, bar, breakfast area, etc. Also the room’s space is very comfortable for 6 beds - it’s not the kind of hostels in which beds are all together. Staff are very kindly and provided enough information. Breakfast has a reasonable price for what is offered (5,90€). I wish I could have more time to enjoy the bar, it seems nice, there is music, drinks etc., sadly I was to tired to enjoy it completely, just took a beer and went to bed, but it’s open until 2:00am (this is cool as there aren’t a lot of options to have fun until late night during the week in the city) - and we don’t listen any party sounds from the room, what is crucial if you want to rest. The location is good as well, in front of a famous market and near to the train station. I have also gone by walking to the city center and it’s not a big deal as people have written, just a few minutes.

I would recommend the possibility to add a curtain in the bed, I’ve been in a lot of hostels that has it and gives you more “privacy” in a shared room. Also, the bathroom could’ve been cleaner, but it was okay not dirty as well. Finally, I would say about the smell, but as the windows are always closed as for the winter, this is acceptable, but if they could like spray something to smell better would be nice as well. These are just suggestions, not even one would make me not choose this hostel again. By the way, if I’m going to other cities which has it, I would stay.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was decent for the money paid, there were enough variety.. it was close to the metro station and the supermarkets were just next to it, also the big open market. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the lockers were so easy to use, i loved it.

Not that i don’t like but there are a few things that needs upgrade in the room. For example the place of the mirror wasn’t practical when it comes to drying your hair, because it’s far from the plugs. When someone uses the bathroom, it would have been nice to be able to dry your hair in the room looking at a mirror. Curtains for the beds for some privacy would have been great.

The hostel is located in a cool location, all the sights of the center can be reached on foot. The staff suggested where you can try the local cuisine near the hostel. The atmosphere of the hostel takes you back to your student years: a lot of young people, everyone communicates, there is a separate room with a billiard table and a bar, and a separate area where you can sit, work or just look through magazines. Also the hostel provides breakfast for 7.5 euro

Don't forget to bring your own slippers and hygiene products (the last one you can by on reception)

The small (4 person) dorm was good, not big but not too small either. The bar and baristas were beyond expectations (they even had toasts for late dinner), the café and the lobby, as well as the breakfast/guest kitchen area was also good with stylish, cosy ambiance. The location is perfect, the Naschmarkt and good eateries just next door. I also liked that the lockers worked with the room key, though I was concerned with their security.

The price could have included towels; I missed selective rubbish bins (at least per floors if not per rooms). I also missed rubbish bin liners, a bit better toilet paper.

What I loved the most about the hostel were the common zones and the Wombar, where you can have a drink and socialize with oder people and take part to social events organized by the staff. Another positive point is the staff, really nice, always friendly and helpful! The hostel is clean and the room I lived in (private double room) had a convenient price and it was perfect for 6 nights during New Year’s Eve period. The location is also perfect to start visiting the city, since Wombat is close to U2 (Kettenbrückengasse) and 10 minutes of walk from the city center.

Great communal spaces and food situation with a kitchen, cafe, bar, 24/7 drinks and vending machines. Shower water pressure and temperature in the room was great! I was so happy to have a female dorm. Lockers were very secure.

The beds were very creaky and the pillows were not too comfy. It got unbearably hot in the night and we had a fan for the room but it was very old and loud. We were also just opposite the kitchen area and could see everyone in there through the window. Even though it was a small female dorm, I unfortunately had a disappointing experience with two of the three dorm mates and because we were in a small room everyones noises and smells was unavoidable unless I left. Honestly I would almost have preferred to sleep in one of the communal spaces by the second night.

I really liked my experience in the hostel! Location was very good, it takes 10 min walk to the city center and metro station is very close from where you can reach every place in the city, also there were a lot of supermarkets near hostel. Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. Rooms also were good with a lot of space.

There is extra fee for the towels and locker room (although there was smart and secure system), and the guest kitchen was the worst part of the hostel, it was so dirty and there were a lot of food just rotten, mouldy… of course it was guests fault but I think staff should be consistent with cleanliness. Also breakfast could be better ..))

The staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. There were bikes to hire, with a lock and a map, and it didn't matter what time you brought the bike back, The Metro was right across the road, and the hostel was in a great location. The room was light and airy, and very quiet and clean, and the beds were comfortable, and the dorm bathroom was spacious and clean too. Having an outside-on-the-street sitting area was a great idea.

I wish I had planned more time in this hostel and in Vienna! I didn't have the opportunity to cook any food, so I am not sure what the facilities for that were like. Otherwise I can't think of anything.

The bathroom is available for each room, nice breakfast, hostel is clean, very friendly staff, good location (I could walk everywhere without taking transport), I like the style of this hostel, lots of light in the room, very comfortable lockers in the room and there are lockers for leaving the luggage after check out.

No curtains on beds - was feeling a bit exposed while sleeping, in one of two rooms I stayed in the ventilation need to be cleaned. Beds are ok, but not super comfortable.
