reception employees are unpleasant overprice in exchange for a very slow service ( we had to call reception 3 times to bring us a blanket!) the security outside at the main gate is impolite. we tried to contact the reception multiple times and no one picked up the phone. They responded to us after 10 minutes! they are always late for everything. when I came at first I was lost and no one bothered to show me where my suite is!! they only gave me the key and no one came to show me its location. also, no one bothered to bring our luggage when we arrived to the hotel, although we asked them multiple times.

Travelled to the Reef Resort in May 2022, which was about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi. It's a beautiful place on a quiet island, there's about 30 or so villas and each villa has 4 bedrooms / rooms. I was in the most "basic" one, but even that was great and had everything I wanted. I was the only person around the infinity pool (which is in the middle of the villas) on day one. The only days that it was even vaguely busy was on the weekend, and even then it was very quiet. I went to the gym most days, which is in the same building as the spa. Again, it was empty every day, I was the only one in the gym from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. City Centre mall is a 30 minute walk away, which is very big and most shops imaginable. Also has a cinema (some films in English) and plenty of restaurants to choose from. All in all, a great week!

The shower had some run off water that escaped in to the loo area, but it looked like this was designed, as there was a barrier from it escaping into the rest of the bathroom. Probably a blocked drain though, as it drained away properly since housekeeping had been in.

The hotel is a beautiful getaway and a true testimony to the effort exerted by the team. From reception and facility management to the details in house keeping. Fahmy did great showing us around while Talal handled our booking professionally when we requested a change. Rana was always there with the kids and Halim from the housekeeping was exceptional along with everyone else. We had the Royal Villa and it was spot on. Photos undermined the beauty of the place truly. Exotic experience in GCC and a proper place to chill, relax and simply get distracted from the hassle.

The staff we ever so friendly and welcoming and the location and surrounding area was very clean and safe. The outdoor spaces were beautiful - from the beach/pool area to the restaurant and bar terraces - and the views both in the daytime and evening were really lovely. I had a big room with huge, comfortable bed and bathroom and the linen and towels were changed every day and of good quality. Food was of a high standard, with a choice of a few different cuisines and there was a good selection of drinks too.

The room in some ways was a little outdated and dark - overlooking the air-conditioning units of the next building and with pulley blinds that took me ages to roll down/up night/morning and the air con in the room was very noisy. I haven't visited Bahrain before, so don't have a comparison, but I did find the food and drink on property quite pricey - so it's worth considering which package you buy (if you can include some meals it would be a bonus).

It was my first visit and I’m glad to have been in the hotel. The reception was great and polite, the villa is beautiful with magical view, parking is available, the swimming pools are excellent and available 24/7, it’s great because my kids are really enjoyed it, the area is surrounded by greenery, which I appreciate. The restaurant has amazing view aswell, the food is very good. Overall all the staff are very friendly and helpful. This hotel became my favourite place in Bahrain. The atmosphere after sunset was fantastic, especially with nice music on the background. Also there are a lot of sun-beds and everyone can feel comfortable. The birds were singing all day and it made me happy. I truly relaxed being here and I really want to come back here more than once. Thanks a lot for my positive emotions ❤️

the breakfast was great although i was hoping it would be a buffet, and the staff was greatly accommodating and nice 👍

i feel like there could have been more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning, the rims around the jacuzzi were a little dirty, and when i first switched on the water in the jacuzzi, the water was yellow/brown which was a little disgusting so i had to fully clean it myself THEN use it because it was concerning. Overall good but just some more attention on cleanliness (because there was also dust in different places) and it would be perfect! also i had really hoped the tvs had netflix, it would’ve made everything way better.👍

I recently stayed at the Reef Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in a great area with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The facilities were top-notch, including a beautiful pool and a well-equipped fitness center. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and plenty of amenities. The room was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. The service at the hotel was outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The check-in process was quick and easy, and housekeeping was always prompt and thorough. The hotel restaurant was excellent, with a wide range of delicious dishes to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the seafood platter, which was fresh and expertly prepared. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Reef Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious experience. The facilities and service were outstanding, and the location couldn't be beaten. I can't wait to visit again.

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was huge with a sandy beach and a separate one for children set in well tended beautiful gardens. The food and wine OK but could have been more adventurous. Security was high both onto the Reef Island and hotel. We would stay again.

There were a few issues with the automatic door entry and exit systems in our villa, however, they were fixed swiftly. The water supply was not working properly on arrival, again this was fixed once the issue was pointed out. No Spa available. Otherwise all good.
