Wonderfully quirky upper room in a quiet neighbourhood, yet only 5 mins' walk to main square - also several restaurants overlooking a canal only 2 mins' walk away. Bedroom overlooked a canal on two sides, with a private roof terrace as well. Private toilet is downstairs, but not a problem for us. Both double bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. We were able to check in an hour early, and leave our cases in the property until we left Bruges in the evening. Excellent Wifi.

Nothing - although I did get a few mosquito bites at night (this is NOT the property's fault !!), but it was pretty warm & humid when we were there, and we had all the windows open.

Perfect location, one overlooks the Canal by simply stepping out of the property. Free breakfast was offered in the self-service kitchen downstairs. Fortunately, the family on the ground floor had breakfast in their flat so we could sit at the table in the shared kitchen in front of the entrance, once they were done with preparing their breakfast. We left the door open to enjoy the canal and its liveliness during the breakfast. The balcony was very inviting for drinking a cup of tea/coffee, etc. Overall, the property was an excellent choice for our family of 5. Access to the apartment via a code was fun for our children.

Bedroom was upstairs while WC downstairs (wash basin upstairs). As the staircase is narrows, the 2nd floor bedroom might not be convenient for visitors with limited mobility. The central location of the property makes parking near the property very expensive. We parked on a nearby street (free of charge from 6 or 7 pm to 8 or 9 am), which offered a maximum parking duration of 4 h, with parking fees increasing exponentially as one approaches the upper limit. This worked well for us as we had to pay 2 h on the check-in day and another 2-3 h on the next day to park our car parked until our departure.

The room is cozy and the design is beautiful! I loved everything about it! The bed was extremely comfortable, and my kids report the pull out sofa was too. The room is very large with a private space for showering. The toilet is downstairs in the entryway (still private). The owner provides snacks and drinks in the reception area which are all included. It is self service. Snacks include crackers, sugary cereal, yogurt, cheese, etc. Drinks include wine and coffee. What more can you ask for?

I can't think of anything I didn't like. If you have small children, the stairs in the room might be tricky, but there is a baby gate installed.

Great location right on the Canal. Great little private rooftop terrace. Cool art. The apartment is funky in a good way, not your average hotel room/apartment. The owner/manager was helpful and pleasant to deal with.

The only real downside to this place is that the toilet is located on the ground floor, while the rest of the apartment is on the upper floor. Not a huge deal, but a little inconvenient. It was unseasonably warm during our stay and there is no AC. So, the place was hot during the day but we were able to get it cooled off at night with open windows and fans.

The location was perfect - a close walk to everything and right next to a canal. We enjoyed the self-serve breakfast (though it was a little trial and error to figure out the coffee maker and the location of the sink/microwave). The owner was friendly and helpful. The saloon doors entering the toilet were a little quirky and didn't give much privacy. But I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bruges is gorgeous. The image I attached is the view from the entrance to the apartment.

Fantastic central location. Communal area to prepare breakfast bonus. Huge beds which were really comfortable. Quirky design and something really different.

Only niggle is the listing states “parking” However this is not factual. You need to park in a public car park at a cost. This is more of an issue with booking.com and the way they list.

Great location. Very near centre and bus stops nearby. Many eating places conveniently close by. Communal breakfast space downstairs with cereals, breads, yoghurts, coffee machines and complimentary wine. Room 2 is an airy space, big enough for a family and a very nice shower. Very comfortable bed. Dressing-gowns are also provided. Plenty of storage space. The building and decor are quite quirky and original; full of interesting artwork. Hosts communicate well, respond very quickly and are helpful.

Room 2:- The toilet is downstairs, separate from the apartment upstairs and the staircase is rather steep. Not suitable for people who might have difficulty with stairs. Wifi signal rather weak and not altogether reliable.

Great location for sightseeing, shopping, dining and beautiful walks along the canals. Access to an amazing garden (from the ground floor apartment) where we spent many happy hours. The spacious apartment was clean and tidy, with large glass doors giving a full view of the garden, and with lots of artworks and interesting historical objects. The entrance area/kitchen is a bit like a museum itself (I guess it was formerly a pub), though a bit small and crowded and some things not so easy to find. If you play a guitar, no need to bring your own as there is one to use in the kitchen! Free drinks, including good wine, and breakfast supplies in the kitchen, which is really great. The host was very friendly and extremely helpful at all times.

Loved this place, will definitely be back. Very close to the centre of Bruges, parking (as we drove from the UK) Very easy with kids. Apartment was lovely and the coffee and breakfast options were great with kids. The bunk beds are a great touch and the ability to have a glass of wine with some music in a separate space whilst close enough to the kids was very nice.

I didn't dislike anything, the only thing I would say is perhaps having a larger heater in the shared space for winter months would be great

Everything about this property is fabulous. It’s quirky, has everything you need and is right in the city. I could stay here for a month and still not tire of how beautiful the views out of every window are. the beds are HUGE and really comfortable (we slept for 10 hours without waking up), there is a beautiful terrace in the upstairs apartment which is both peaceful and secluded, there is a huge garden for the downstairs apartment, the shower area is big and we were surprised by the communal kitchen with food and drink available to all guests. It has been fantastic and we just wish that we could stay for longer. We would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back.

Nothing at all. One thing to note is that the upstairs apartment (the one without bunk beds) has the toilet downstairs. It was not an issue for us at all but worth noting for anyone that has younger children who may be toilet training or need the toilet a lot in the night.
