Clean, good size room, great shower. Great location. Breakfast was good.

The room was freezing, temperature was set to 19 degrees but it didn’t feel anywhere near 19 degrees and if you wanted the heating up more you had to pay €50 a day.

Location is perfect!! Right by one of the many canals, you can actually see the boat tours from your window room and wave at the other tourists! The hotel is bigger than it looks like from outside, and very neat and clean. Rooms also have a good size. Basic but good breakfast (croissants, bread, pancakes, jam, eggs, ham, cheese, etc...)

No manned hotel!! The only staff member we met was the lady in charge of the breakfast! That could be a bit frustrating sometimes. The fact of not having people at reception makes you nervous. But indeed, everything worked perfectly. Citytax: € 4 per person per night Administration fee: € 3.50 per person per stay. No minibar.

We had about a 10-15 minute walk to the old center of town, via several routes, which was easy to do. Our view was overlooking a canal, which was very pleasant, able to see the tour boats go by. The window sills were quite deep, so we were able to use them to put things on, as there was no counter space at the sink. The lighting in the room was good, always nice to have lights to read by that aren't too dim. The ladies working in the hotel and helping with the breakfast were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good, with decent choices of things to eat.

The room was quite small with only one luggage tray to put a suitcase on, but we had 2. There were no chairs in the room, likely because it was small, but we found 1 elsewhere and used it for the other suitcase. My personal preference, for breakfast, would have been a choice of plain yoghurt, rather than all fruit flavoured, along with muesli & bananas, but it was good for the other choices.

The location is terrific. Easy walk to main attractions and on a canal, in a lovely old building The breakfast itself is high quality and with lots of choice. The breakfast staff are very friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms are spacious.

The rooms are not warm enough. There is mention of electricity crisis and extra charge is trying to increase heat levels. This is off-putting at best. Regardless, extra blankets should be provided to ensure you don't sleep feeling too cold. The reception staff were available in the morning only, which was OK, but weren't that friendly.

Great location and only about 7-10 minutes walk to the Bell Tower and 15 mins to the Holy Blood of Basilica. Nice area, and the hotel is situated so nicely on the canal. If you can get a room with a view of the canal, i would highly recommend it. A nice lady on reception helped organise our taxi very early for us the next morning as we had an early flight to catch. Taxi turned up on time, and thank you! 😊

There was a small leak very close to the single bed on one side of the room. Breakfast was limited, but i would advise to get down early to get a good spread.

The location of the hotel is very good, which is primarily why we booked it. We were able to get to lots of pubs and restaurants and other tourist attractions on foot. The hotel is only a short walk to the main square and this area of Bruges is beautiful. I think there was a decent choice of foods available at Breakfast, with pretty much something for everyone. Although the hotel reception was not manned when we checked in, the self check-in was very easy. When the reception was manned the following morning, the receptionist was very efficient and helpful.

A non-slip bath/shower mat should be available from reception if needed. They were not available when we asked for one. The room would have been more comfortable if it was warmer, especially when returning from a rainstorm, but the hotel was under orders to control room heating remotely, due to a national energy shortage at the time. Therefore I am not faulting the hotel for this.

Beautiful location on the canal with a lovely selection of restaurants a stones throw away. Self check in is really handy. Bed was very comfortable and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was also good. Very reasonably priced.

The bathroom was a very small wet room with saloon style swing doors so not great to share with someone you’d be embarrassed to poo in front of. However, it was all very functional and absolutely fine for a City break.

The location was perfect for the price that you pay. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms a little old and rundown, but this is expected in older buildings. We had a view over the canal which was delightful, and we were rewarded with an occasional wave from the tourists on the canal boats. The breakfast was everything you need, and was well catered for. I had read comments that it was hard to get help as the reception wasn't manned, but we must have lucked out as someone was there almost the whole stay. We were split into 2 rooms so it was wonderful to have the small courtyard where we could meet for a beer or a game of cards.

With summer temperatures reaching higher and higher limits these days. I recommend that they consider installing aircon or fans, or even just fly screens so you can open the windows. Our room was on the top floor and sleeping was very difficult due to the heat. If possible, I recommend a lower floor in summer.

Location was exellent! Bus from railway station comes right in front of Hotel. Walking distance to shoppingstreets and restaurants. Hotel was clean. We paid extra for a view, so our windows opened to canal side of the hotel. It was great! Breakfast was good. Eggs, panncakes, yoghurt, Coffee, Juice, croissant, rolls, cheese, ham etc

Room had a bit unfinished feeling. But no major deficiences.

The reviews honestly don’t do this place suggest. It is a great location and only a 10 minute walk away from the main square. We booked a canal view room and it was absolutely stunning! I actually asked my girlfriend to marry me on this holiday and we wouldn’t have wanted to stay in another hotel.

The only minor negative would be the beds aren’t the comfiest, but all the goods outweigh this 🙂
