Nice Hotel. Rooms small but comfortable, corridors decorated in dark green so appeared a little gloomy, reception area, downstairs bar and restaurant area all nicely laid out and welcoming. Excellent rooftop bar with good views and great atmosphere. All very clean and tidy, welcoming and helpful staff.

Very small critisisms, towels too small, would appreciate a flannel. What appears to be a drop down desk in bedroom is, in fact, a fixed deep shelf hindering access to the safe underneath and proving a potential hazard when getting out of bed, a bit of form over function.

The hotel is very fresh and stylish. Free water, downstairs is a lovely bar & restaurant and a rooftop bar with a very nice view, a must visit. The rooms are quiet. Great location, 5 minutes walk from main sites. Room is big enough, but do not have a lot of storage space for clothes (there is a small open hanger near the entrance and no closet). Large bed, but I personally found it too soft and pillows too high and large. A perfect boutique hotel for a short stay/mid week.

Breakfast was amazing. Superb choice, fresh ingredients, waiting staff were really friendly. Definitely a 10/10 breakfast! The room was a great size, wonderful facilities including a rainfall shower and very comfortable bed. Location was fantastic for the centre of town - we stayed during the Gentse Festival and there was so much going on. Ghent is a lovely city and we'll certainly be back to visit and would stay in the hotel again.

Really disappointed to discover that the car parking was full on arrival, especially as we'd told the hotel we would be late arrivals and that we had a child with us. The car park is shared with other businesses / private parking and some of these had parked across lines. The receptionist was dismissive and whilst polite, really seemed not to care. She eventually pointed out a nearby public car park but we then had to walk with all our bags and a very tired child. This marred an otherwise fantastic stay.

Rooms are spacious and great design; bed quality was very good, and so that shower and cosmetics; a lot of light sources in the room too. Espresso machine was a big plus; automated check in and check out also works well (we tried check-out). Breakfast was excellent - very smart choice of food, good coffee and tea, nice and friendly service - our kid even got special fruits bow from the Chef every morning, - was such a nice touch! Excellent location of the hotel - one of the best in Gent (and we've been in many hotels in Gent..) - easy to get, parking (Reep) nearby, yet not too crowded. Will come back once in Gent again.

Check-in is only at 4pm (albeit we got room at 3pm), check-out already at 11am - too early. No kettle in the room for tea lovers, no proper minibar (just few small waters + small wine). Very loud lobby on the evenings - like a night club, that was the only thing truly against my values..

Modern and funky with great music. Both the bars and the restaurant are lovely. The rooftop was perfect as it was very warm and sunny. The DJ played great tunes in the main bar on Friday night. Breakfast choices were fabulous - so much food. Great location, easy to walk to all the sites, bars and restaurants and a short trip on the tram to the station. We went to Bruges for the day which was busier than Ghent and very very pretty. Loved the altarpiece exhibit at Ghent cathedral.

The property is a modern hotel, with big comfortable rooms, very clean, beautifully decorated, huge windows, big balconies, great bed, great bathroom with shower. The rooms are very quiet, even for light sleepers. The big star however is without a doubt the bar-restaurant, which is amazing. The breakfast is served there, as well as dinner and drinks in the evening. Attention to detail is important and we loved the toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) in the bathroom, which were from the grown alchemist brand and you are even able to buy them at the reception. The location is very central at 5 minutes walk from the central square and in has an underground parking, although at quite a high rate of 24€ for 12-24 hours. Breakfast costs 20€ per person, if you tell the reception the night before, 25 if you just show up in the morning. Highly recommended to stay in this hotel if you want to treat yourself.

Lovely modern hotel good sized room, great aircon and easy to walk to centre in about 10 mins. Wonderful welcome at reception, so friendly and the inside bar has a lovely design.

Main overhead shower not as powerful as it could be and the shower gel was hard to get out. Two pillows were too big to be used as two but one wasn’t quite enough but bed was v comfortable. These are tiny things and nit picking really.

Breakfast was excellent and the whole bar/dining room is wonderful. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The room had a hipster aesthetic which was nice but not as functional as you need. We were a family sharing 1 room. The bathroom has frosted glass walls so you could see when people were using the bathroom. The "sofa bed" was not a sofa bed at all but a small loveseat/day bed and they just put a sheet on top of the cushions and took one of the pillows off the bed. Our son was very cold.

Great location, parking on site too which was secure and complimentary to us. The bar/restaurant inside is really nice and the buffet breakfast, well, spoilt for choice and such good value at €20! The pastries were unreal 👌. Rooftop bar was great too. Definitely highly recommended hotel to stay in. The staff from arriving to leaving were excellent.

I have nothing to complain about, it was all very good.

This was a last minute find - came up on booking.com. We arrived in Ghent around 10pm not realizing we were a day early and had nowhere to stay. Were thrilled to find Yalo. Super cool vibe, welcoming staff who helped with suggestions for what to do/where to eat during our stay, thoughtfully and creatively appointed room, and probably the best burgers and fries we've ever had (limited menu at that hour). Was a blissful 24 hours...wish we could've stayed longer!
