really good location just a few minutes walk to be in the centre of Ghent. Plenty of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff were awesome and gave heaps of amazing recommendations. Room and bathroom facilities were very clean.

no power socket near my bed and no light on top bunk for my partner. could hear the people walking sround upstairs because of the wooden floors and the floor was also very squeaky so would wake everyone in the dorm up anytime someone left to use the bathroom of arrived back to go to bed. the door to the toilet closes extremely slowly which was annoying. very minor complaints.

-The staff are extremely friendly. Santiago told me the hostel emphasis on cleanliness and takes pride in it. I absolutely agree. -The hostel was extremely clean - Located 10mins walk from the Old Town and was very quiet at night. -A proper kitchen with pots/pans dishes, cutlery, condiments, an oven, microwave, and coffee maker. One of the best setups I've seen in a hostel. Backpackers on a budget will not be disappointed. -The shower room was immaculate and separate from the toilet. -Max(a cat) that randomly comes around for pets/cuddles was really welcoming. He does ask for them too.

Nothing worth mentioning for the price.

The service was amazing. All the staff was very helpful both prior to and during my stay. The room, bathroom and shared areas were clean. I also felt that the room was big enough for six strangers to share, without stepping on each other. The vibe of the hostel was very chill and it was cosily quiet. The neighborhood was also quiet, which was nice. The location was amazing, a short walk into the center of Gent as well as to Gent-Dampoort train station. I would definitely recommend!

The only negative thing about this hostel was that the doors and locks were very loud, no matter how softly you tried to close and lock them. Overall, I had a lovely experience staying here!

It is a really good hostel, easy to reach and within a walking distance to the centre and the most popular attractions of the city. The bus station is really close by, some 10 minutes walk while the train station is a bit far but I guess it will be quick by taxi or tram. Everything was clean, I liked the room's bathroom, good shower. It's clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable. The 5€ breakfast is good. The guy at the reception is really helpful and polite!

Nothing really. Maybe adding the curtains to each bed would be just more comfortable, as a suggestion.

Really very friendly staff, easy check in/out, and leaving my backpack in reception after check out was no trouble. The hostel is in a beautiful old town house, and really nicely decorated. The common area/kitchen is clean and comfortable, and the garden/terrace area a lovely bonus (watch out for mosquitos after dark). This felt like a good option for travellers of all ages, it's not a party place. The rooms are decent sized - I was in a three bed dorm, and so I had a single bed, which was more comfortable than a bunk, with a locker and power socket, and a shared bathroom with separate toilet/shower and sink area. Great to have both blackout blinds and mosquito net on the skylight window. There aren't too many rooms (three per floor?) so it wasn't too busy or noisy, though all the floors are old and wooden so they do creak a fair bit. The location is excellent - an easy fifteen minutes walk to the centre of town, but in a quiet part of the city.

Bedding is provided, but you have to pay for towels (€1 for small, €2 for a large one), locker padlocks too, but I had my own. There's no lift, so be aware if you have heavy luggage and are staying on the upper floors. I wasn't too lucky with a fellow guest - a deep sleeper/heavy snorer, but that's the luck of the draw.

The welcome was absolutely perfect - the staff went above and beyond for us to enjoy our stay! The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was also spotless and had a wide variety of utensils and available basic ingredients. The common area felt like a little home. The location was not entirely central, but within walking distance and we appreciated the calm. All in all, staying in this hostel made our stay in Ghent memorable and we would definitely recommend it and come back if we have the opportunity!

Nothing, everything was great!

The staff was very kind and smiley, free coffee available all day, outside area for smokers just outside the common space/kitchen

The lockers in the room were just too small and didn't even fit a small backpack. Remote workers tended to monopolize the only (very small) common area at any hour of the day and complained for obvious noise or just chats of other travelers even late in the evening or lunch/dinner time. Some more rules regarding use of common spaces would make the hostel a Hostel, not a co-working space with dorms where chatting is silently forbidden and talking to travelers is a sin

KaBa is in a perfect location. It’s about 10-15mins walk anywhere in town. And a very pretty 10-15mins walk at that. So easy to get around walking or via tram if need be but we mostly walked. Our room was exceptional. The bed was so so comfortable it felt like being at home. The shower had amazing water pressure and was all really clean. Towel rental was cheap and you get your money back at the end. We also enjoyed the breakfast each morning at an extra cost. We arrived early and were able to keep our bags in reception for free. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend :)

Nothing, we had a wonderful stay here!

Perfect location just 5-10 minutes away from the train station and 10-15 minutes away from the centre of Gent. We had a double room with internal bathroom. The room was clean and big enough for the two of us. There is a beautiful garden and also a lobby, where guests can spend their time. The kitchen was super clean and has everything to prepare food. The extra cost for breakfast is just 5 euros and offers tea, coffee, vegan or normal milk, bread, fruits and so much options. Overall a great choice!!!!

It was my second time at KABA Hostel, and I would definitely recommend this place: it is clean, cosy and quiet at night. And most importantly, the personnel is extremely helpful. I am particularly grateful to receptionis Izaak who offered me detailed advice on all my numerous questions about Ghent. I stayed at the 6-bed female dorm, the windows are facing the small green backyard. I very much like the spacious hall on the ground floor, because it is not only suitable for eating (the self-service kitchen is well equipped), but it also has a working area where I can plug my notebook and work.
