Lovely little B&B in a nicely decorated 400 year-old house. Guests are welcomed by the owner's father, who is extremely sweet and makes you immediately feel welcome. An excellent breakfast is served in the common room, where guests also have access to tea and coffee making facilities during the day.

It's an old house, so expect some steep and narrow stairs! Also be aware that the room door can only be locked from the inside. I was not concerned about my belongings as there's only one other room and it was occupied by a lovely older couple.

Practically everything. 1. Location in the heart of a quiet nice historic quarter that is part of a World Heritage Site (flemish beguinages) not far from the cathedral and main square or the fishmarket area by the river. 2. The house keeps the authenticity and charm one expects in this kind of historic places, with a very personal decoration and details that make it cozy and interesting. 3. The breakfast was excellent. 4. Last but not least: above all the host is great, nice and helpful

The room suffers a bit from space constraints, -something to be expected in an attic room-, and access requires climbing some steep stairs, but on the other hand, this condition gives a bit more charm to the experience.

Perfect location, beautiful old fashioned homely style very tastefully decorated. Very comfortable bed and wonderful bath. Breakfast was delicious, eggs cooked to perfection! Very attentive host, couldn’t do enough to help. We would highly recommend and we’ll definitely comeback 😍

I rate this high for hospitality, nice man very friendly and helpful I slept in the very best bed compared to even Van der Valk, but most of all, it is away from the city center and just 7 minutes away, I had a very good stay and certainly pefer to book again for personal trips to Mechelen! it is a very quaint building in an historic area of the city and very close to the centre of town. the cobblestone streets are delightful and it is an easy walk into town. the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Breakfast was perfect, location couldn't be beter and we were happy with the two bicycles we borrowed! Fantastic building in an old, cute street near the centre of Mechelen.

The weather😅

Hospitality was the most important factor. Fantastic owner who kindly gave me a lift as taxis were not available. It’s a very cozy location in an authentic house. Breakfast was delicious and served in a home environment. Great stay to be remembered.

The B&B is located close to the centre, in a wonderful neighbourhood. It is very Flemish, traditional, and cozy! Great communication with the hosts, a quiet place. I felt like staying with friends.

A very characterful property.It was a real bonus having a bath in the room given that we had cycled there in extreme heat. Our host was very welcoming and looked after us well.
