The hotel is nice and rustic in appearance and the staff was very good, especially Ashley. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel and is very convenient. We chose the breakfast option and it turned out well. There is a cafe next to the hotel that provides breakfast items such as coffee, tea, juices and a variety of pastries. The internet connection was excellent, the shower was good and the temperature control was also good. I really liked that the hotel offered soft drinks and beer for purchase in the front office; very convenient.

We did not initially have anyone next to us, but upon getting neighbors we found out that the walls were not very soundproof. Fortunately they did not stay long and it was a non-issue for us. Something that could have been a bit better was to have some recommendations (on paper) of where guests can walk to shop and where not to venture to. We found that staying close to the shorefront was the best option and seemed much safer. Also, I wish the hotel had bug repellent for sale since there are so many insects that bite.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Great House Inn and were glad we took a couple of days to stay there and see a bit of the city and the historical sites in the region before heading south for diving and nature tours. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The Inn is charming with spacious and comfortable rooms, and there was a lovely swinging bench that we enjoyed relaxing on in the evenings after our excursions. The location is right near the water, and it was remarkable all the different kinds of birds that we were able to see right from the hotel, including two parrot parents who were busy feeding their babies.

Everything was good. They're currently building a pool and restaurant, so soon it will be even better and more convenient.

The hotel is conveniantly placed almost on the tip of a small peninsula, 10 mins walk from the water taxi station. Its direct location is quite safe, what is as important as not obvious in this city. It is very nice, partially wooden colonial building, that offers very comfortable, nicely decorated, big rooms. The staff is helpful and flexible, e.g. they managed to let me in to the room 2h before the regular check-in time.

There were some problems with the water pressure, while I was staying there, what resulted in intermittent cut-offs of the water in the bathroom. There are some construction works nearby causing some noise during the day, though luckily it remains quiet overnight.

You should avoid going to Belize City if you can, it is a dump hole. But if you must go, this hotel will almost make you feel like you’re not there. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are really unique. They were just finishing the pool And surrounding areas, but they were nice enough. Elizabeth at reception was REALLY lovely and helpful. We left my son’s plush toy and she found it and said she would send it.

Because they have no restaurant, there is a continental breakfast which is pretty rubbish.

Amazing, friendly, helpful, smiling staff, especially Ashly. Incredible location and nice views. Perfect for early morning running along the water. Just near lighthouse and Belize sign and good cafes and restaurants, short walk to museum, swing bridge, Brodie’s supermarket. Room and furnishings were simply beautiful; wish I could have stayed longer

TV wasn’t working most of the time; hairdryer didn’t work. Neither a big deal. I usually stay in hostel dorms, so any amenity is a bonus

It is a charming colonial house from the early 20th century. There is a lot of history here but we didn't get to learn too much about it. It is well maintained, clean and comfortable. We stayed on the second floor and learned that there are a lot of stairs.

We had a large porch swing out on the veranda style balcony in front of our room. That's a plus right? But not if other people sit out there until the wee hours of the morning talking as we experienced.

The Great House Inn is beautiful from the outside as well as the inside. We stayed here because we were looking for something different that a typical motel room. This was lovely. The rooms were clean, comfortable, had air conditioning and a fan and the bathroom was spacious. There was even a coffee maker in the room. We were conveniently located to everything we needed, and the Inn was happy to help with any reservations we needed.

Location excellent as just by the Marina. Not far from the ferry to other islands such as Ambergris Caye. Staff were very helpful, happy to let us check in early at no extra cost. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and apart from people talking in the street around 9 pm as leaving for the curfew, it was very quiet. The TV actually worked too and air conditioning efficient. Coffee filter with coffee bag and creamer always a bonus. There is a bar and restaurant at the back in the garden. Also close to Radisson if needing dive boat pick up. Good restaurant nearby - Celebrity.

Nothing to dislike.

The room was huge. Everything was clean. The veranda has a porch swing and tables, for mingling. A block from the water, and two or three blocks from the water taxi.

They are building next door, so it is noisy. That will be temporary, and is beyond their control. Seeing how fast the work is going is kind of entertaining.

Very spacious room, comfortable beds, decent AC and fairly OK shower. The hotel is in a beautiful house and has very nice rooms. Location is OK, close to the waterfront, not very central but a good neighborhood to stay for a night.

No breakfast on site but options close around. Many stairs to get to the room and no elevator. Rather pricy, but this seems to be the standard for Belize City. We hd a very good stay at the Great House!
