The food was outstanding--never disappointed and the menu was large Restaurant is outside with great views Delicious juices made on site-- cucumber lime ginger was my favorite Bar drinks were beautifully made and they have everything you could want ( even a bottle of prosecco for our anniversary) Staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a success Property is in a good location with Cahel Pech ruin right next door Will arrange tours for you -- these were all excellent and there are so many to choose from you could do something new every day Pools were well maintained and a welcome relief from the heat after a day of tours Gorgeous views and sunsets

Room was basic and could use a dresser for clothes but always clean and a/c worked great No nighttime entertainment on site Only one umbrella at the pool so shade was hard to find

The hotel makes me feel like I arrived in the tropical jungle, love the trees and the bungalow rooms. The bungalow room I stayed is exactly like the pictures. Love the hammock and the view overseeing the downtown. The pool is very nice - a great place to cool yourself from the heat and spend time to watch sunset! They also have the trip booking services available at the reception so that one can book any excursions once arrived. Super convenient.

The breakfast menu is not available everyday - they mentioned that it is only available when the total number of guests stayed are below certain numbers; otherwise they will provide the buffet breakfast. A little disappointed since I was planning to have a full breakfast on the last day, but didn't notice that beforehand. It's around 20-30mins walk to the downtown (Burns Avenue). I did walk to the downtown and walk back climbing over the short hill ;) but may not recommend for someone who does't like to walk uphill or during summer mid day.

Everyone I met from the reception to the restaurant/bar to the tour desk was super helpful, friendly and went out of their way to help. The friendliest place I stayed in Belize. Fantastic sunset viewing from the bar area, great to have the pools for an afternoon dip. Good restaurant and bar. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and good shower.

Many people have noted the walk from the town but I think this is a highlight, it is a little cooler and quieter in the location. And right next to Cahal Pech. The hill is absolutely fine to walk up, I did it many times. Of course if you struggle with walking you would need a taxi but they are easy to come by downtown.

Tour opportunities, pools, restaurants, bar drinks were really extraordinary and staff was very accommodating, turning on a specific football game for me, in the lounge area. Perched high on a hill, the resort overlooks San Ignacio town. Staying in cozy thatched-roof cabanas was a great experience. Next-door to a fabulous Mayan archeological site. Also, not-to-miss Green Iguana rehabilitation sanctuary.

Uneven concrete and loose brick walkways. Unlike some options, this resort doesn't encourage visits from the native wildlife, by presenting cut fruit and specific vegetation. The wild life was mostly at a neighboring cabana. Pandemic had shuttered this town's airport, leaving busses beyond over-crowded.

We really enjoyed so many things about our stay! The staff was so helpful explaining all of our excursion options and preparing us for what to expect. The waitress and bar staff were especially friendly and so personable! We really enjoyed the bartender named Sara! She had great ideas of what to serve us when we couldn’t decide and surprised us with THE BEST garnishes for our drinks! She’s an asset to your business!

We didn’t find anything we didn’t like! Cahal Pech was one of MANY things we loved about Belize!

The view is amazing! We loved looking at the view while eating and having drinks at the bar and restaurant. The pools were great, the food and drinks were great. We loved the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. A representative from the resort planned many of our meals, all of our transports and excursions. Everything worked out perfectly!

The front entrance of the hotel looks as though it needs a little cleaning up and refreshing. The van that picked us up from the airport was obviously pretty old and not terribly comfortable. It had trouble getting up the hill to the resort. We had to pull off the road and wait for a second van to get us.

I love the little bungalow⁰s. Very good price, nice basic place. They do a wonderful job arranging activities (just about anything-ATM, Lamanai, Tikal etc). They have small groups and very knowledgeable and friendly guides.

No in room coffee or refrigerator. "To go" food for tours is not good. You order but get what you get" which may not be what you asked for (I specifically asked for no chicken legs and I got chicken legs). Super slow service which is fine unless you have to be somewhere.

Return visitor and I will be back. Love the place, screened private hammock room...great location. Quiet and clean. They call it "basic" but the cabanas are very cozy, nicely decorated, come with hammocks and outside seating. Not having a microwave, frig or coffee maker is no big deal. I bring my own little coffee maker and am all set.

Some staff were not helpful and I try not to ask for much. Although I checked the night before and was assured I could get help hauling my 100+ lbs of luggage to my car, this morning I was advised "nope, no one to do that" (unless I could wait about two hours). I am almost 70 years old but gratefully, pretty fit and gave myself time to make multiple trips. I didn't die but wondered what I would have done if I had not been capable of dragging heavy suitcases up the hill, over steps, etc. Food on site is not very good. I recommend going into town for better options and friendlier service. I really felt like I was bothering staff the few times I asked for anything. I tip very very well and try to be polite and never demanding.

The views to the mountains/valleys from the pool and our cabin were the best. I remember thunderstorms in the horizon and it was mesmerizing. A lot of food and drink options and they offer a lot of activities.

There were a lot of insects, mosquitoes and the roof of the cabin was stinking the room. But we wanted one of the cabins so I guess you have to give in somewhere :) Far away from everything, so no restaurants or anything around, up in a big hill. But that's how you get the views.

The view from Cahal Pech is amazing and the restaurant and services that they provide is convenient. The beds were comfortable and it was nice that we had our own patio area to enjoy the view and the breeze. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was super cute.

There aren't any fridges in the room which wasn't a big deal but would have been nice to store leftovers. Also there was road construction going on (not the hotel's fault), which made it hard for cars to come up for drop off, so we were dropped off away from the hotel and walked up the hill a little and had to go around the workers coming to and from the hotel. Since we stayed at one of the bungalows the paths there made it hard to move around luggage but they did offer help for that.
