Angkor Heart Bungalow

Amazing staff team. All were highly attentive, and every day when we returned from an excursion, the team brought a little "surprise&delight" to refresh from the excursions. Sometimes a freshly opened cold young coconut, sometimes a plate with fruits or pastries or juice. The slightly outside location is balanced by the hotel paying in the evening for the Tuctuc into the city centre, and guests than just have to pay for the way back (USD2-4, depending on your negotiation skills with the drivers). We ended up having Vani as our personal Tuctuc driver. He picked us up from the airport with a very warm welcome and checked every afternoon if we would need him on the next day. He also showed us great local restaurants that were not on the guides and guided us very kind and competent on the day trips we did with him (e.g. floating village). For the day exploring Angkor Wat and 4-5 more of the surrounding temples, we booked a great official guide through the hotel. It helped really to understand the setup, structures and historic context of the temples. An absolute amazing lush oasis with 2 nice pools and beautiful spacious wooden bungalows. Every day we were happy to start with a great breakfast on the front verandah and come back after the excursions for a relaxing afternoon and evening.

The hotel was exceptional. The staff were so accommodating and really went above to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed for 7days (2adults and 2kids). We did 3days of temple tours as suggested by the hotel and was well worth it. everyday we returned to the hotel we were welcomed with fresh juice and free food (fruit, spring rolls, biscuits). Pur breakfast was delivered daily to our verandah as ordered and was always too much food (the day we did sunrise at Angkor Wat, our breakfast was delivered out to us). great location slightly out of the hussle and bustle, utilising the free tuktuk to pub street after 5pm. Thankyou so very much for all the lovely staff we encountered during our stay. highly recommend

We stayed there for 4 nights in 2 luxurious, spacious, incredibly clean bungalow. The room had everything we need, quality air conditioning, a huge shower, hot water and comfortable beds. During the day we received various treats in the room such as orange juice, fruits and cookies. Breakfast is served to the room and sitting on the balcony with The combination of a quiet place in the atmosphere of a village with a huge adjacent pool, made us enjoy all the worlds together. Special thanks to the manager of the place Sopheap who did a lot to make sure we were satisfied, starting with picking up from the airport, shuttles to the city and organizing attractions and trips during our stay, she even took care of a pair of bicycles that came directly to the hotel. To mention another employee named Minea who took care of us as if we were her children, really a little mother. In conclusion: the best value for your money! Highly recommended for those looking for proximity to the city but with the quiet of a village including the surrounding treats, personal attention and good energies. Thank you very much🙏

We didn't want to leave this place. There was nothing we didn't like. Every possible request (iron, bug spray) was no issue. The attention to detail like the welcome fruit bowl, small snacks or drinks when you come back from seeing temples or a day out. The place is always clean, they're always cleaning leaves or bringing food, they never stop! The Tuk tuk driver you get assigned from the airport. Special shout to Mr Ny our driver, what a lovely guy. He knows temples like nobody else, he'll dodge the crowds, find you interesting snacks and have ice cold water waiting for you when you've been around the temples in the sun all morning. Also takes belting photos! The whole experience was like nothing we've had in other places we've stayed, you join the family, stay for a while and then leave. Travel essentials in case anyone reads this far: - Wifi is decent, we could do video calls to home no issue. - The bungalow provides AMAZING food. You'll sample it with the breakfast but try the lunch and dinner too. - Loads of shops nearby if you fancy a walk, although it's $1-$2 to get to Pub street so not exactly an investment - Noise. Other reviews commented on noise and there is a main road next to the place. It never caused us an issue, we were too tired from Siem Reap adventures to notice. If you're struggling to sleep, do the sunrise temple tour.

We stayed here for 17 nights as we were visiting our granddaughter. From being met at airport free of charge by tuk tuk, to leaving we could not have had better service from all the wonderful staff, especially Sinat who was here there and everywhere. We had been on a cruise the week previous and the service was even better that Aqua class on board The breakfasts were served on your own veranda and there was a very good selection and much too much food! It just kept on coming. The lunch/evening menus were good and the food cooked freshly and again served on your veranda. The chef was great. When coming in from a hot day out there was always fruit juice and or fruit to refresh you. Water was in ready supply in bottles and all this was free of charge. There were 6 bungalows round one pool and another 6 around second pool. There was a quick turn around of people as most only stayed 2/3 days. The cleaners were fantastic and our bungalow was kept spotless. There were not any mosquito nets but they sprayed the room when cleaning and we didn’t have any problem inside the bungalow. If sitting on veranda in the evening they came round and lit citronella sticks to keep mosquitos at bay. Very large bathrooms with separate bath and walk in shower. Air conditioning. King sized beds and comfy pillows. Small fridge which was a blessing. Robes, slippers and toiletries were good. Laundry service if required was only $1.50 per kilo Not everything that was on the Booking.com amenities was as described i.e. the restaurant wasn’t open but service on the veranda was brilliant, in fact better than sitting in restaurant. Whatever wasn’t on the description did in no way affect our stay. The walk-in closet was in fact just a clothes rail in room. There was a free tuk tuk between hotel and town from 5pm to 9pm which was about 5 to 10 minutes away. Cherang and Mr Bean were great There was always someone there if you needed anything.

More storage as we stayed so long Bigger fridge

We really loved the room (cabin) and the staff of the hotel. So friendly and generous and we got snacks throughout the day when we were relaxing near the pool area. The driver, Mr. Heng, transported us all week (Apopo, Angkor Wat, Lotus Farm and every evening to/from city center). The breakfast and lunch on the deck of the cabin is really great and with much variation. We had no bugs, no mosquitoes and no “creepy crawlers” at all.

Some cabins have a covered deck/terrace bit some do not. Not an issue (when raining the breakfast and lunch is served in the main dining room) but when booking it might be good to request a cabin with covered terrace.

We arrived after a three day trek in the jungle; tired and grubby. The staff were amazing and the welcome was lovely; just what we needed. All through our stay the staff went above and beyond. The bungalow was lovely, bed super comfy, breakfast on the veranda was very good, and there is a complimentary tuktuk to town in the evening. Mr Ping took us on our Temple tour, just the two of us, so you came and went as you were ready to move on (not waiting for a bus load of people) and he dropped us back at the airport. Siem Reap was fantastic, and staying at Angkor Heart Bungalow made it perfect 👌 Highly recommend

Absolutely nothing

What an amazing hotel. The rooms are spotless, the staff super friendly and can’t do enough for you. If you got in the pool, towels arrived and there was fresh fruit and juice every time we returned from going out. Getting a tuk tuk was very easy and the staff helpful at booking things for us. Breakfast was served on the terrace with the same option for dinner. The food was beautiful and extremely good value (around $5 a dish). We had spa treatments in our room. Again, fabulous value for money. Angkor Wat isn’t far away and well worth getting up early to see the sunrise. Do not hesitate to book this hotel.

If you are looking for accommodation to explore Angkor temples, and Siem Reap, this is definitively your place... the bungalows are big, clean, and very beautiful, and the private swimming pool is great to relax in the hottest hours... Our experience in Cambodia was great, specially because of choice to stay here and the lovely people we met at Angkor Heart Bungalows. You will feel cared by Minea, the recepcionist, who is 24h worried about your comfort. And, to visit the temples, or the floating collage, ask to be driven by Poly! He designes a three day visit for, us... recommended us places to visit and eat, and showed us everything about his lovely country.

The staff was super nice, the accomodation was perfect, the pool is clean, the breakfast amazing. The hotel is located a bit out of the city center, which we found perfect. We got free ride from the airport and free tuk tuk ride to the city center each afternoon. Everyone was really nice. In the end, they gave us the drinks for free and also some gifts:) We just loved everything and Siem Reap is amazing.

We were really trying to think of something that we dis not like as this was a perfect stay. So maybe there could be fresh pairs of slippers for everyone in the room. But this is really a minir minor thing, we simply loved the place.
