Recently renovated so had a fresh look and feel. Also we had two rooms separated by a door which was nice for kids. Full kitchen and fridge/freezer allowed us to make our own food when needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was good for us as restaurants and grocery stores were very close by. The aquatic center was also close by which was perfect for early evening swims, kids loved that.

Surrounding streets had a bit more trash strewn about than we are used to. Main road (trans canada highway #1) connecting to the street (alexander) the motel is on was congested at times making getting onto that main road a challenge (fortunately there are alternate side ride roads to get around this).

The room was clean, the staff was super kind, and although the motel isn’t located in the best part of Duncan, I felt completely safe on the nights I was there by myself as a female. Air conditioning worked well. The room was freshly painted and renovated all except the bathroom which was still in fine clean working order.

The location wasn’t killer. There’s a lot of interesting people downtown Duncan. The motel is definitely under renovation. The rooms are nice enough but the stairs getting up to the top floor were a bit worrisome.

The rooms are beautiful, newly renovated and very clean and comfortable. I slept like a baby on the bed. The shower had a nice water pressure. The room's temperature was warm with a silent heater that I could control the temperature of.

Not enough towels in the bathroom. The tub didn't have any rubber grip to stand on and I almost slipped when having my shower. There are many different lights but it's "all or nothing". In other words, they can't be turned off individually, aside from the tiny bedside reading lights. No dimmer switches for the lights and so the room was either very bright or dark.

Really awesome place, I live in town and I know the neighborhood is a bit seedy but the owner manages to keep a nice atmosphere. She's very welcoming and even gave me a wake up call , first when I was in the shower and then again she came back to make sure I didn't miss my bus!

I feel really bad cuz a blue pen exploded on a pillow. I had some cleaning supplies and I was gonna warm it up and scrub the stains out but I had to run to my bus before I had time to :( so really the only qualm was my own fault lol. Otherwise 10/10

Modern renovated rooms with extremely comfy beds, quality pillows and fresh linens. Options for lighting, bright room light or dim sleepy nightstand lights. USB and AC power plugs are abundant. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware in good repair. Friendly and helpful staff that are always there to assist in any way they can. All amenities are walking distance. Motel is off the main highway so it's very quiet at night.

The outside isn't super nice looking, but the owner is going to be tackling that project very soon.

Tracy, the manager, was friendly, helpful and accommodating. It had been a few years since I had been at the property. I was very pleased with the updates that have been made. It loos like the staff and owners are proud of the motel.

The only dislike is by no fault of the current management or owners. The property itself is great, but unfortunately there are a few seedy characters that hang out on the streets close to the motel. Again, this isn't something the motel can be in control of...more the local RCMP and bylaw officers.

The stay at Duncan Motel exceeded our expectations for a Motel. To be honest, we were not too sure what to expect when booking the last available spot in town but we were so pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, friendliness, cleanliness, location and experience. Thanks so much to Tracy for accommodating 6 adults who were pretty much stranded after Thunderbird Motel cancelled 3 rooms on a Canada Day long weekend. Needless to say, we will 100% be staying with Duncan motel any time we travel and need accommodation in Duncan. It was so cute and clean. We had an awesome time!

we were greeted by a very friendly lady named Tracy who was extremely helpful and did everything to meet our needs and answered all my questions. Thanks Tracy for a very hospitable stay!!

it would have been nice to have an EV charging station, however, Tracy was very accommodating and allowed me to move my car close enough to plug into the wall

The location was excellent. The receptionist was friendly. The room was small but fine for a single night. Included wine glasses! An older motel that has been renovated.

There was a motion sensor light in the hallway. This was very nice when we came in and didn't have to look for a light switch, but in the middle of the night it shone into the bedroom when anyone went to the bathroom. Perhaps there was a on off switch but I didn't look for it.

It's really a great motel, especial for Canada in this price range. The facility is nice, the room is absolutely clean, the staff is friendly, it has a micro, a fridge and additionally a coffemachine inclusive coffee. And everything is near, like grocery, liquor store etc.

It is definetly a little bit small, but compared to other motels which I have had on my trip this would be whining on a high level
