Lizard Creek Lodge

I love places that are unique and off the beaten path, and while this facility is part of the ski resort, at the time we visited, it was between seasons so was quiet and uncrowded. The room was very comfortable with a small eating corner (microwave, fridge) so that we could have a small breakfast before heading out for the day. There was a wonderful view out to the gondola and chair lift and of course, up the mountain. The balcony had a lovely cafe set so that we could sit out and enjoy a quiet moment, and eat breakfast while taking in the incredible scenery. I loved the access to trails, gondola to the scenic 'top of the world' and chair lift to the Grizzly Bear Refuge right outside the door.

The only concern we had during our stay was a broken elevator for the two days. It made getting luggage up and down a bit difficult.

The room was like a Condo. It was spacious with a huge kitchen, 2 bathrooms, lovely living room, separate King bedroom and a lovely balcony. Very comfortable accommodations.

They need to have better F&B options. The main restaurant was not open which was disappointing and their hours of operation were quite limiting with only being open for drinks/dinner Wed-Fri. It was one of the reasons I selected the place. They had a pub style restaurant, but that was only open for Breakfast and Lunch. So, we had to travel into town for dinner, but our hope was to dine at the resort.

Large studio suite with separate area for bed, and fireplace and kitchen and dining area was much more expansive than I expected. We were offered an extension to our stay and wish we could have taken them up on it but I had a medical appointment at home the next day. We are thinking about a return trip, an off-season deal that would allow us to spend a few nights there.

We did think the restaurant was going to be open so it would be helpful if they could let guests know in advance that there is no restaurant or store open at the ski hill.

Very friendly staff, responded to any wish, all conceivable amenities, varied diet menu in restaurant, comfortable facilities, very clean linen, very fresh alpine air. Many trails for biking and hiking and interesting sightseeing nearby make this resort more attractive.Next year my family plan to come back here

the location is great. things are getting a little dated. it is the first time i have not been in a larger room and on the back side away from hill. so it was somewhat dreary comparatively. the hot tub was great. the lodge was very clean. the mattress, i think, just needed to be flipped in the bedroom but the pull out needed replacement.

the mattress... and the prices... its just getting a little out of control to take a family skiing for 3 days... cost was about $1000/day for myself and my two sons.

The Room was very nice and had a very comfortable bed. We were able to use the pool and hot tub and it was easy to get there and spend time out in the sun and relax at night. The bathroom was clean and the amenities such as the microwave, stove and fridge made it great to be able to keep food and drinks on hand. It is great being up on the hill as you have a great view and you can hike or bike. A great room at a good value!! Tina was very helpful and worked it out so we could stay and extra night.. Much Appreciated!!

The blind on the door wasn't dark enough and when people would pull in with their vehicles at night it would light up the room.

We had a great stay at Lizard Creek. We also ate in the restaurant one night and the food was great. Great Mountain views and a great location a short distance from town.

Our kitchen could have been cleaner. We had a couple of minor issues but the maintenance guys were able to fix them quickly and effectively- so no complaints about that.

The room was clean, AC was great. All-in-all, everything was fine.

The elevator button to the parking level was extremely difficult to push into action. We finally just used the stairs because we were afraid we were going to get stuck in the elevator. The toilet in the ensuite is loose - it’s a wonder it’s not leaking. TV in the bedroom should be mounted on the wall. It’s too low on the table making it really hard to see the TV when in the prone position.

we had an amazing room looking out at the chairlift. the bed was super comfy! loved the hot tub looking over the mtn at the end of the day

pretty pricey for an older somewhat dated place. I feel like there should have been a discount for the restaurant spa or vodka bar if you are staying there??

Tina at reception was very helpful and friendly. We were on an annual hiking trip with friends from various locations in Canada and the United States and everyone loved Tina! Our room was extremely clean, spacious, well equipped and quiet.

The sink faucet in the bathroom leaked and as a result the bathroom counter was always wet and a small pool of water on the floor between the vanity and the toilet. We used paper towels to soak up the water on the vanity and floor.
