Travelodge is close to everywhere and there are bus stops just at the lodge fence: at a walking distance to the beach and downtown, and for 2.50$ the bus takes you to any shopping mall as far as 40 minutes ride. The room was exceptionally clean with a very nice design where the bedroom is separate from the living-room: a big relaxing bed! I liked the breakfast coffee and fruits! The staff work with a smile on the face among themselves and with the clients. Travelodge Nanaimo is a place to go back to for a vacation, or for work as there is a computer desk and chair in the room, AND A FRIDGE!

Nothing. I was only expecting to find fruits and drinks in the fridge, but it was my fault if the fridge was empty, I should have expressed my wish while booking. I will do it next time.

Our family stayed here for one night and we were pleasantly surprised with how quiet it was at nighttime (given that the hotel is located right between two busy roads and our room was on the ground floor facing the parking lot). We had a good night's sleep which was much appreciated. The room was well maintained and the front desk staff were very friendly.

The continental breakfast was quite nominal (mostly high-sugar items such as muffins, yogurt, cereal with added sugar). We had to go into town afterwards to get proper breakfast before hitting the road.

Staff were very friendly. Excellent customer service. The manager called me and said that I forgot my phone charger at my room and made arrangement that if I ever come come back to the island I can pick it up it anytime. They also accommodate my request for the 3 rooms to be Beside each other and it was on the first floor since we have somebody with a wheelchair.

There was no more bread at breakfast and it was only around 8am. Hallway and room was dark. They need to brighten up the place. Change of color (need new paint). Other than that it was still ok.

We liked the continental breakfast but would have liked the boiled eggs and waffles we had at other Wyndham accommodations. It was convenient to take back to our room as we had our dog and I could stay in my pajamas. One lady, I can't remember her name, was amazing, she was very friendly and took an interest to be helpful to all the guests' needs in and out of the breakfast room. The room we had was in a good location, we could park right outside the little patio to keep an eye on our car, very convenient to unpack and pack the car, plus very close to the breakfast room for those who, like me, want to get their brekkie in their pjs. We rated the Wi-Fi as N/A as we didn't use it but it was available for free with a password.

It wasn't the hotel's fault but there were quite a few speeding cars cutting through the parking lot and less-than-desirable people hanging out in the parking lot both day and night.

There was nothing to dislike about the property. Just some design inconvenience of the building that second floor didn’t have an elevator access and all the luggage needed to be transported through stairs. The breakfast option could use a bit more variety. Usually when one books a facility that offers continental breakfast, one expect bread/bagels/cereal/eggs in addition to what is offered currently (i.e. muffins/oatmeal and apple/bananas). Having said that we were able to get a great experience with family. Great service.

Hotel - Location's super accessible from everything. Bus stop (from/to Departure Bay) is just around the corner, and Harbour walkway & Downtown are just minutes away. Hotel staff are accommodating and friendly! You'll feel safe as well, as there are lots of CCTVs everywhere. There's also an Ice machine & a Pop Vending machine. Oh, Wifi & Breakfast included. 🥳👍🏻 Room - I liked my room (241); I'm not nit-picky, so I was good with everything. It was simple and clean. A microwave oven and a small fridge were provided. Bathroom necessities were also available. You can also use your Netflix (+others) account, but make sure to log out before you go!

Clean and nicely furnished. Location is quite good as it is near the downtown area. My room had a deck with a nice view of a quiet, tree-lined street. Coin laundry available which is nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the lady running the (complimentary) breakfast room in the morning, she was very warm and attentive and went out of her way to help guests with particular needs and keeping the selection stocked up. I didn’t catch her name but if you meet her you’ll know she’s who I’m talking about!

My only gripe is that the elevator only goes from the ground floor to the third floor. It skips the second floor (where my room was) and it would have been nice not to have to carry luggage etc up stairs

Breakfast was a great selection for what they could offer, in a sweet little room. Loved the sunny patio :-)

Lack of shady smoking area meant that most of them congregated outside of our room, making a most unpleasant waft every now and again (we wanted our door open to the outside air). Would prefer not to have that! Would also have liked a tv we could use our Netflix with, but that's us being picky.

The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is a 2 min walk to a seaside board walk which takes you to some great restaurants, shops and local attractions.

The breakfast was not entirely like what was shown in some pictures we saw. We expected hard boiled eggs and a waffle maker based on what we saw but this was not the case. It's a very basic continental breakfast. There's a Tim Hortons that's a 10 min walk that we frequented every day.

very clean, comfortable, centrally located with friendly staff. access was easy, with free wifi and lots of parking. or room was in the back on the second floor, which made it private and quiet. the breakfast was limited to fruit and muffins and coffee, but it was good quality and the attendant WS very friendly and helpful.
