Beach Gardens Resort and Marina

Powell River is a pleasant town on along the water as you go up the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. We had a pleasant room with a view of the water and Marina and balcony.. Clean and pleasant room but a bit of noise from upstairs during the night. On site restaurant but we didn't try because it wasn't open. Breakfast was available at nearby restaurants (home town feel).. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were great:) Good location if you are taking the ferry across to Vancouver Island:)

Our room faced the water. Covered balcony so it stayed dry in the early morning. Whales, otters, seals, water fowl swam around the little harbour Convienient to have a liquor store on site. Huge property which will be under development at some point,glad to have stayed while in its original state. The restaurant attached was fantastic,out on the patio right by the water. Food and service top notch.

There was only one side table next to the bed,tight between the wall and getting in/out of bed.

Great location and good value. The staff were all very pleasant, and let us use two of their wine glasses.

The lighting over the coffee maker area was poor, there was a cobweb in the southwest corner of the ceiling, and one side of the bed was near the wall with no night stand or lamp. (We had to push the bed over and set up an upside down garbage can to use as a night stand.) Also, there was no plug available for the bathtub, and the maintenance man never brought the one he said he would bring, so my partner had to manage using one of the round Keurig tea packages as a plug. Everything else was just fine, and the balcony was great.

Our room on the fourth floor has a great view of the marina, the Salish Sea and Texada Island. There was no noise at all so our sleeps on the very comfy bed were wonderful. We could see the beautiful sunsets from our room as well. There were two cozy robes available for us. Towels were soft and fluffy, and the Keurig machine made delicious coffee. Lovely walks on the beach right outside the door.

We don't have a single complaint

It was a clean, & comfortable as described. We had a good night's sleep and left rested in the morning. Having the breakfast included was perfect for us. We got up and did not have to search for a place to eat before heading to the ferry. The balcony with a view was a pleasant addition. We actually sat outside in the sun for a short while and enjoyed the view. The young lady at the breakfast was friendly and helpful and I could not help but notice she was constantly insuring food was well stocked and the tables cleaned.

The overall appearance as you drive up to the "Resort" is not encouraging. It appears very run down and ready for demolition. The newer building while functional lacks visual appeal. But visual appeal is not what we needed.

Bewutiful view right out our window overlooking the Marina and water. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the daily breakfast and enjoyed the restaurant. The staff were very friendly. And the pool was warm and private by reservation only.

There were 4 of us staying for 4 nights, but only had 3 clean towels in our room and one set of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. We had to ask for more. Also, the staff seemed reluctant to give us towels for swimming… The rooms were also not sound proof and we can hear the next door’s conversation and tv.

All rooms are ocean view, I saw whales and sea otters right from the balcony. Awesome location and walking distance to beach is great.

Rooms can use some updates. Pool is no longer available which is a bit disappointing for the kids. Overall, nothing to complain except the on wedding party from the Seasider restaurant that's still very loud past 11pm.

Peaceful.Nice ocean view. Lots of eagle sightings. Good walking areas. Staff accommodating. Rooms a bit dated but clean. Descent Continental breakfast included.

Balcony ocean parking lot, traffic a bit busy and noisy.Noise is trapped and travels there. Group of loud beligerent local kids partying on the beach. Front desk addressed problem satisfactorily. Swimming pool couple of degrees cooler than average.

Fantisic views across the Salish Sea to Texada and Vancouver Islands, mountains in the distance. The restaurant is extremely good, and has a patio overlooking the ocean. Food has been uniformly excellent over several years of visits. Prices are are reasonable, given the quality of the foor. Staff have always been really good.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Garden Resort and will make it out place to go every time we are in town. The location and amenities are top notch. The view from our room was spectacular and the restaurant is beautiful and serves amazing food.
