Although called a "resort" this is basically motel style accommodation, but with much nicer rooms! The room was modern (seems to have been recently renovated), quite spacious for two people and the kitchenette was sufficient for self-catering breakfasts. Nice to have access to a BBQ for making dinner. Lots of parking (there was even space for our small boat trailer). Friendly and helpful staff (provided a kettle for tea making upon request). Value for money was really excellent - perfect for a 2 night getaway and would definitely stay again.

Although the rooms have big windows, only a very small one opens. This meant the room could feel a little stuffy, so we often kept the door open to get airflow. There is a small portable fan which was helpful to keep the room cool at night. Overall, the temperature wasn't a problem for us (it was mid 20s C outside), but I could imagine on hot days it might start to feel uncomfortable.

Resort located just off the ferry terminal. Beautiful large king size bedroom, very clean, nice bathroom, comfortable couch, kitchenette, and table for two at the window with a beautiful view of the harbour. Outdoor pool and free parking.

Our only issue was with the shower - no handrails inside the shower and traveling with someone who has a mobility issue it was not safe getting in and out of the shower.

It's really close to the terminal ferry. Wonderful views. No restaurant, but there are some nice places for breakfast or lunch near (Cafe Aroma and The Clove, two blocks away). Or you can go to Campbell River on the ferry for more options.

There is no room service. There was no receptionist on those days (last May); I recommend you confirm your check-in time so somebody's waiting for you.

The new owners are doing a great job in their renewal of the property. We stayed here several years ago, and could see how much has been done to update the rooms. Very clean and freshly painted walls, new beds that were very comfortable. Located right at the ferry terminal, yet above the terminal on a hill, so minimal noise and nice views from the pool, which was also very clean with nice, new, comfortable deck furniture. We stayed with our grandkids, who really enjoyed the pool. Renovations are ongoing, and we look forward to the restaurant reopening. The kids also really enjoyed the driftwood animal and dinosaur sculptures outside.

Kitchenette had everything you need for easy hotel meals. Bed was comfy. The coffee table transforms into a dining table, we want one!

The water was very strange - soapy? The shower therefore wasn't awesome and had very low pressure. We had lower level and no view, which is not what we were expecting (pictures are a bit misleading)

Location was good. We liked that the room was simple and clean. Pool looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. My daughter would have like to use the hot tub but it wasn't working or available? It was quiet for sleeping.

We didn't have many plates, bowls (only two but three of us booked the room) cups etc. The room info asked that we clean up spills with paper towel but none was provided, so we had only the bathroom towels to use. Would have liked more parking. Some stalls were filled with things other than cars.

The receptionist Amy was very welcoming and accommodating. It was very hot during our stay and she quickly provided cool fans that did the trick. We also appreciated the pool towels and that the pool was cleaned every day as well as being nice and warm.

Great location. Excellent staff. Rooms well-equipped even for seniors. Well-kept pool available. Recently modernized rooms (electronic device charging ports, etc.).

Streaming TV available but no local (cable-type) stations. Limited viewing selections

This is one of our top off-the-grid vacation spots. Nothing compares, even 5 star hotels have their issues. I you just want to get away to the great island and relax too; then this is it. It's on our list to visit again.

Really nice rooms with a great view of the Harbour and pool. The pool was a total highlight. Clean, warm and usually not busy the kids had an excellent time in the pool. It is the best hotel pool we've ever had. The driftwood art was also a bonus Laid back island with lots to do and adventures to be had

The kitchen part was slightly small. There was not even close to enough spots to hang towels or wet bathing suits.
