Queen Bee Hotel

This pace is walking distance from the University of Manitoba and the CFL Stadium. There is nowhere else at the price and comfort. Please dont tell anyone. U of M has a great on campus bar and nearby Smittys will entertain and feed you.

I dont like footsteps on my ceiling. Stay on the second floor. The rooms are a bit spartan but the price and location cannot be beat. There are train tracks behind the hotel, you should stay in the front. The train does not run often and has only a few cars. Park in the front so the railway dust dos not land on your vehicle. Check out the restaurant which is unique in its Asian menu. perhaps beyond anything else in Winnipeg. The manager is over the top nice and entertaining.

Clean hotel (blankets had been washed with disinfectant), polite snd helpful staff (helped me check in ahead of time because I'd got nowhere else to stay and arrived early). I stayed for 9 days in total and felt quite at home.

We drive from Calgary to Winnipeg and they let us check in one hour early(no charge)and The bed is very comfy and smells great,same with the room no odd smell.also, the parking is pretty safe too,the hotel’s location is very close to university of Manitoba,restaurants,groceries and fast food.we loved it.we will definitely come back here and recommend this hotel to our friends who plans to visit Winnipeg.

Loved that it was like staying in a home. TV, internet, fridge, coffee maker and microwave all provided. Staff were very responsive to requests and place is central to bus lines and University of Manitoba. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. I arrived very early and the pre-approved an early check in also.

I would have been nice if breakfast was included, but Smitty's is right next door, no big deal.

There was no breakfast available @ this hotel; however; the location was ideal as we were in town to attend the Banjo Bowl @ IG Field ( excellent location within walking distance to the venue). Overall, great accommodations and it was a good visit.

Everything was great!! One minor complaint; I found the bed a bit too soft for my liking as I prefer a firmer mattress. However; the hotel was excellent and a good value for the money.

The Hotel is very clean and professionally run. The staff helped me out several times and went above and beyond each time. It is a quiet and well run place to stay - exactly what I was hoping for.

One suggestion would be to have some couches or chairs in the lobby for people who are waiting. Other than that, there was nothing else amiss.

This is a super hotel. Clean, quiet and safe. Staff were very friendly and explained all we needed to know regarding our stay. Beds were so comfortable and air quality was great. Definitely recommend the Queen Bee for any of your stays. Also great location, love that it’s away from downtown area but many shops, eateries and malls at close range. Will be using this hotel for next trip. Thank you for your hospitality!

You can see IG Stadium from this hotel. There are places to dine within walking distance and of every budget and ethnicity. The place has free parking where you can see your vehicle from the room. We walked to the Bombers game. Given the price I would not stay anywhere else in Winnipeg. Tons of shopping a short drive away. Staff are polite and helpful. The room is beyond clean. We thanked the maids for their hard work.

It's a very good location, actually, it is the only facility to stay if you have something to do at the University of Manitoba or watch the games in IG stadium. I stayed here for the Manitoba marathon, which was the start/finish point. The facility has no BF provided but you may find a lot of restaurants nearby.

Staff were very polite, rooms very clean, the products supplies were excellent (lotion, soap), bed and pillows extremely comfortable.

No elevator and I do have some accessibility issues so getting luggage to the second floor was a challenge. (I didn’t think to ask for help from staff, it was late and I was very tired)
