The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel by Lakeview

Room was very clean. Hotel is close to airport which is very good and comforting in the morning. Food was excellent in the restaurant. Staff at front desk and restaurant very polite and friendly. very quiet hotel. I stayed only one night and was very tired, so didn't feel to use my computer anymore that is why all bonus questions are not applicable. I didn't pay attention to WIFI but I am sure you guys have a good one. I will be back for sure. Thank you!!

Please have a simpler working shampoo and conditioner dispenser for my next trip :)

The location is just across the street from the airport entrance--perfect! No taxi needed. The room was very nice, lovely huge windows looking out on the airport.

The shower pan (floor)needs to be scrubbed with a brush not just wiped down. Over time, the pan shows the discoloration from lots of use. It certainly appeared to be clean (no hair or particles in the shower, the door had been wiped down & was very clean). It just wasn't nice & white. Restaurant service at the adjoining hotel was great for the bar, dinner & breakfast. There was no restaurant open in the hotel til 5 PM.

I prefer to stay at this hotel when visiting the city as I feel safe in this area. I like the idea of there being two restaurants, with some different options. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The room was ok however, it was not as I had expected it to be I was a bit disappointed the rug needs a good cleaning. I felt as though I was given this room because I did not book directly with the hotel. They also say each room has an ipad. Mine did not. It was still an ok room.

Arriving late in the evening, our confirmation with the room was quick and easy after a long flight. With our departure the following morning the desk personnel were very efficient in closing our account with the hotel and took extra efforts to deal with a special request for specific transportation from the hotel. The staff were very busy at the time but still attended to our needs in a very efficient, friendly, and professional manner.

This was a lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and I couldn’t hear anything of our neighbours which was a welcome change. All of the staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful especially when we were looking for milk for our toddler. We will definitely consider staying here again after a long flight.

Was not happy with the communication at the front desk regarding parking. We paid quite a bit for the first night and when we questioned it, we were given a card to use. Confusing. Also more communication needed about how to get breakfast (at adjoining hotel) when this hotel’s restaurant was only open for dinner. Again confusing.

the property next door, where you have to go for breakfast and lunch, is not as nice. Also, some guests were screaming at one another and fighting and the staff did not know what to do to handle the situation.

Room was very modern and clean. Nice view of the planes taking off. Obviously there was noise of airplanes taking off but that was expected from a hotel right next to the airport.

Parking is at the neighbouring hotel so even though you are closer to the airport, you have to walk the entire length of the two hotels to get to your room. And then when you pick someone up from the airport you are parked the furthest away. It was summer so this wasn’t a huge issue but in the winter I would not be pleased to walk that far.

it was very close to where I wanted to be to visit family

The only negative thing was the shower and tub. I am a senior and the tub was so high that I had to get my daughter to help me in and out. I didn’t care for the stationary rain shower, as I would have like something that moved or a hand held.

great location to airport

I asked for late checkout because I arrived at 2;30am and wanted a decent 8 hour sleep but I was woken by housecleaning a bit early . there was no option to put a do not disturb sign on my door. there was no door hanger for it. front desk should communicate with house keeping when some one arrived late and requested late checkout.
