We originally had a room that faced the roads intersection below and the windows did not close properly so I could hear all the street noise. I asked to change rooms at 9pm. We moved room with a slight increase in price. The 2nd room was much quieter with only 1 window that closed properly and it was tucked away from the street noise. The staff was very pleasant in accommodating the change. The hotel has a free shuttle to the theatre with a pick up at the end of the show. Very convenient! The hotel is a heritage building, beautifully restored and maintained. Breakfast in the dining room was great. Service was excellent.

Just the street noise in the particular room we had facing the intersection. Once we changed rooms all was good.

The property was exceptional. Offered free coffee in the lobby, beautiful restaurant and has a lovely patio as well. Very historic and unique and the location to the downtown was perfect. All staff were more than friendly and welcoming. Loved the added touches such as emails from concierge to see if we needed anything, a shuttle to take you to wherever you would like to go if you didn’t want to drive. the shuttle driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. He dropped us off at the festival theatre and picked us up afterwards. This was the icing on the cake as it saved the hassle of driving and paying for parking. Certainly without question we will be staying here again.

Food was good, not great. Room was spacious. Sheets were clean and comfortable. Hot water was readily available.

The carpet was very dark and looked dusty (dirty) along the wall edges. Rooms, particularly the walls, were dark and old fashioned. Curtains, while well matched to wall color, were also too dark. These items need updating and thorough cleaning. The alarm went off for no apparent reason while I was getting ready for a shower -- a very uncomfortable and awkward situation. Should I leave in the raw?

Our room was charming and comfortable and the quality of the historic restoration and remodeling was impressive. Staff were friendly and helpful after we arrived. However, it was difficult to get details from onsite people before hand.

I have a minor mobility impairment which made the bathroom challenging. We brought a folding chair for me to sit on in the bathtub/shower. However, the shower was designed for tall people and the shower head was only minimally adjustable - kind of like an airline seat. Remodeling of bathroom space was clever, but the results were not particularly convenient. There was no place to put toiletries - except on the back of the toilet which was actually in a separate room. While the breakfast we ate at the hotel was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt, the menu was very limited - basically an upscale fast food menu. Some of the imagination that went into the historic restoration would have made for a lot more interesting restaurant.

We ate dinner in the restaurant. Our food was very good and came out quickly. And happy there was a good kids menu. The room was cozy. Loved that there was a fridge and coffee maker. Staff were very helpful and extremely friendly from the moment we walked in the door.

The ONLY thing I didn't like was the toilet was very low to the ground. I had to use the grab bar from the tub to get up. (Bad knees) We were a family of 3 and had to ask for more towels. There were only 2 bath towels provided. A front staff member actually walked us to our room to provide us with more. We really appreciated the assistance.

The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone coming to see Stratford Festival shows or explore downtown Stratford. The rooms are well kept and comfortable and the restaurant is very convenient and tasty. The only advice we would have is maybe to call in advance to let the front desk know you're arriving. We waited 15 minutes for someone to check us in.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The decor was traditional and consistent throughout. Everything was clean and in good repair. Generally the room was quiet. We liked the books placed in the room. Theatres, shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. We had a very happy stay!

It was very good. Maybe a tea kettle in the room along with the good and welcome Nespresso coffee? The auto temperature fan was a little loud.

The location was wonderful. So easy to walk to many great sights and places of interest.

Not a fan of flat sheets on the bed that don't stay tucked. If you move during the night you end up in the mattress, so not sanitary! Also, if I'm staying for more than one night I should not have to ask for more coffee and clean cups.

Great location in the heart of downtown Stratford. Easy walking distance to the theatres and other attractions. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff was welcoming - very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was popular with and recommended by the locals, always a good sign.

The heat pump was a bit testy to operate and get the temperature regulated.

The in-room whirlpool was great. The bed was comfy and the outdoor seating for the restaurant was great. I had never stayed at the Parlour Inn before, but I will stay again! It was easy to walk to theaters but there was also a convenient shuttle. We did both -- walk one time and take the shuttle another time.

if the bar could stay open later, it would be great!
