This hotel is very nice, I like the character of old buildings. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The view was fantastic! The suite we stayed in had a jacuzzi tub and it was everything I had hoped for. Very clean. They also have security guards patrolling the parking lot and main areas of the hotel which is appreciated. I had gotten an amazing deal on the room online and was not disappointed.

The area can be a little rough, I was worried about my car before staff assured me they walk the lot frequently at night. I would not go outside alone at night, hence the security guards.

Always looking for older well maintained hotels. Sometimes the exterior better than the inside, not the case here. Staff helpful and friendly. Location great. Rooms exactly what I hoped for. Old style well maintained. Good restaurant off the lobby for breakfast. Never ate other meals there; can't speak to quality.

Wished I could have gotten a room facing the harbor.

I thoroughly enjoyed the space I had when I was staying at the Suite you provided. Thank you, for the professionalism and friendly staff who provided me with new linens and clean room in-between stay. Your front desk staff, were very helpful when it came time to changing rooms, and needing a new card, at the time I needed one. Staff in the dining room, went out of there way to prepare one breakfast, which I ordered from my room. Was fresh, and hot when I returned Tomy room. The bed in 303 was exceptionally bumpy. Old springs, not so great for the ol' back. And the heat was cranked, when I moved from 503 to 303. Other than that, everything seemed to be in place. The fan that was provided, was exceptionally appreciated. Thank you, again.

Best view I have ever had out my hotel windows. The lake, big ships moored for the night, lighthouse, rail lines, skateboarders, public marina and waterfront, historic train station and visitors bureau, and, the Sleeping Giant centered in my view. Wow. Room was really big. I was on the third floor, and i think the view would only have been even better from higher. I also wish I had more time to explore the hotel to see the fantastic history of the building more.

History sadly hidden under cheap renovations. I would have valued seeing that marble bathroom and oak trim. I get the new windows make the rooms more comfortable in all weather. The place is so historic it's sad not to see the old details. I'm glad the place is still open anyway, though.

Very large rooms, good tv, clean beds, lots of amenities, functioning AC in room

We parked in front of the main entrance and unloaded our vehicle only to realize you have to enter through the back door after 5pm which is a long walk around the building. The man at the desk was very rude, did not greet me, didn’t give us directions on how to get to our room, he watched us walk up the stairs only to learn that you can’t get to the rooms via the main stairs and even then didn’t direct us to where the proper elevator was. Bad customer service is not good for a business.

Free Parking in the lot. The room we had was HUGE and had a beautiful view of sleeping giant. The beds were comfortable. Wi-fi worked with no problems or lost connections. The room had a fridge and microwave. The room felt very clean and the staff was friendly. The biggest plus for me was room size and the view!!!

The TV in our room did not work. We could have moved to a different room, but I did not want to lose the amazing view we had from our room. There is NO free breakfast. There is a pool and a small kiddie pool, but it is behind a door with like 5 locks on it (easy to get into once you know how). I wish I had been told about the pool when the TV didn't work because the kids would have loved to swim instead of TV anyway. The pool area looked great, just didn't know how to access it until we were leaving. Would definitely stay here again, but couldn't give it a 10 as the TV in our room did not work and we didn't figure out the pool until we were leaving-- maybe those are my fault for not asking about a pool, and for not giving up the view.

l. I liked the decor of the hotel and the atmosphere ,beautiful old hotel .the staff were so nice and helpful I would stay there again if I had a better view

we were supposed to have a room facing the lake . we got one facing the rundown buildings beside the hotel.. finding the entrance was fun parking was limited

This is one of the grand railroad hotels from bygone days that has managed to keep itself up to date. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the woman who was on the front desk in the late afternoon/evening. I was upgraded to a suite after my first room smelled of smoke (it's a non-smoking hotel) and it could go up against anything in Toronto or Montreal and come out well. This is a better place than any of the chain motels in town and you get a waterfront view.

I stayed in the spa suite room 502. This was a great room with a separate bedroom, two TVs, a double jacuzzi hot tub in a separate room. The room was comfortable but a wee bit cool. It was hard to adjust the heating. Booking through booking.com, I got a great rate so I was happy with the price paid.

The suite could have been a bit warmer.

Breakfast was great!1 ,, The waitor that morning was so exceptional .. He was so helpful and kind.. Love it.. Location was great for us,, Love the outside diner right by our room , and casino just down the block..

Seen a few bugs in my room.. Yuck! Parking was hard didn't realize there was more parking ..
