This hotel is in a very good location, right by the Lachine Canal bike paths, and a reasonable walk into Old Montreal. The walk to the subway is not that far, and there is a bike share (Bixi) station right behind the hotel. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and were patient with my kids' determination to practice their French. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the A/C was both effective and built in, so no noisy machine chugging away all night - I appreciated that!

Parking was a bit expensive, but cheaper than if we were not guests at the hotel.

Immaculate, spacious room and loo. Clean and comfy bed. Early check in. Kind front desk staff. Close to eateries, td bank and convenience stores.Good hairdryer, shower and body wash. Mini-market on site.

This was the first time that during check in, I was charged the current price (2x higher) of the room instead of the price that I had booked the room for. Wifi disconnects often. Slightly distant from some tourist sites. One towel had threads coming out of it.

We travelled with the cat, so we were glad to find the hotel that accepts pets. Comfortable bed, Nespresso coffee machine, iron in the room The stuff is very much friendly and helpful.

Something that could made our stay more comfortable: - the smell in our room was bad, it smelled like someone left behind stinky shoes; - the water stream in the shower was quite unstable; - lack of little fridge.

they should put small fridge’s in the rooms

Location was exceptional! Right in the thick of downtown and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafés and the Bell Centre. We were visiting for a concert at the Bell Centre and walked there and back without issue. Rooms are spacious and clean.

The shower had a glass wall that was visible from the bedroom so if you’re travelling with others and want privacy that wouldn’t be ideal. Because the location is so central it was pretty loud at night.

I'm pretty happy with this hotel. the location is great. The hotel is quiet. The parking needs to pay but is very easy to access. I visit here during Christmas, the front desk is so nice. They didn't charge for my coffee and drink because it was Christmas. It's not a big money, but I feel warm. I will live here again when I visit Montreal

the bed is a bit soft.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt the great vibe of the hotel and the staff was very pleasant. The location was superb as it was across the street from a grocery store and only a 20 minute walk to St. Catherine St. I felt very safe and the room was super cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable! Shout out to Angelique who went above and beyond assisting me and her friendly smile was very much appreciated. She definitely stood out as having exemplary attention to me and my son.

I would have liked the room to have been cleaned and arranged before 2pm on Saturday. We had returned from an excursion and the room was still not cleaned. I had to call the front desk to have someone send over clean towels.

The staff were quite kind, and I slept well each night. The views from the room were pretty incredible as well. And the restaurants attached to the hotel were quite good. Overall, this was a pretty decent stay in a well-located hotel.

The room was a little dusty and could have been cleaner upon arrival. A small refrigerator might have also been nice. At one point, an alarm clock in a neighboring room went off loudly for almost an hour, and I had to contact the front desk to have it silenced.

The Alt is our number 1 choice of place to stay when in Montreal. The staff is always efficient and friendly, and the rooms are super clean. Although Griffintown has grown quite a bit since the first time we came in 2016 or so, the area is still pretty quiet and safe at night. It’s also close to various restaurants and stores of varying budgets, so that’s great too. I was so pleased to see that our room had a mini-fridge!

The gym still really needs a set of 20lb dumbbells.

Location is within walking distance to everything and anything further afield its close to the nearest train station (subway) 10 min walk. Staff were very friendly. Safe location. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Montreal
