Great location, next to a metro stop and walkable distance to Museum of Fine Arts, Saint Laurent Ave, and lots of restaurants/shops. Staff were very friendly, and we had no issues despite not speaking French. Breakfast was simple but good and went until 11am. Standard queen room was comfortable; it had a mini fridge and a big bathtub.

We had no issues, but you can hear street traffic from rooms looking into the main road, including people's voices. If you're a sensitive sleeper, just ask for a room facing away from the street. If you have a big car, the parking at the hotel will be difficult.

The room was clean, the breakfast was a good start for the day, the front desk service was helpful and available day and night. We asked at the front desk for a taxi to arrive for an early morning flight and it was there and on time. We really appreciated that!

There is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage. Our room was facing Sherbrooke and the street is noisy at night, so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that doesn't face the street.

The place has character and charm, due to it being an old house. The double room was spacious, comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a bonus after a long day, driving from a snow-covered mountain!

Some things looked as though there could be better attention to maintenance .. for example, the HPI on the back of the bathroom door fell off immediately when I tried to hang up a light garment.. the man who checked us in was not exactly welcoming and seemed bored by his job. Otherwise, the staff was polite and fine.

I spent two nights at l’Argoat. The hotel room was quiet, the shower and bath water warm, towels clean, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast plentiful. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Not much. Chateau de l’Argoat is perhaps showing its age - but it’s ageing well. The decor of the stairs, landings and rooms is slightly old-fashioned, perhaps a little faded and somewhat quirky, but that adds to the charm.

Location of the hotel was excellent, opposite a Metro and easy walking distance to cafés, shops and the Old Town. Staff were exceptional, and welcoming, and the breakfast room was ideal for a light start to the day. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We visited during the very cold weather, and the room was very warm and cosy. Off street parking on-site was a bonus too.

The hot water took a while to heat up, but not really an issue. Very little to dislike about Hotel Chateau de L'Argoat!

We loved our stay. The room was huge and beautiful. While we never got around to using it, it has a jetted tub! The location was a little far from the old quarter, but a few blocks from the Latin Quarter with an uncountable number of restaurants. The free breakfast, which we did not expect was bagels, toast, fruit coffee and juice, which was great. The only issue is there is no elevator, which is a problem if you are on an upper floor and are mobility impaire4d.

The hotel has lots of character and is in a great area of Montreal with loads of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and it was great to have free parking on-site, particularly a couple hours after checkout.

The shower left a fair bit to be desired, but the water was at least nice and hot. The building is old and it's hard to move quietly in the hallways and on the stairs.

Location was perfect. Room decor. Hotel was in an old typical Montreal building which was turned in a very tasteful hotel. Personeel was very nice and helpful. Environmental awareness

The parking: the number of places were limited and in order to use the space to the maximum, cars were packed in a way that they might not be able to get out. So car keys had to stay with the reception. There was no fridge in the room.

The location is great, the metro is literally across the road. The reservation also includes a very simple breakfast, which I appreciated.

The bed was quite small for 2 people (twin I think). The size of the room in general is quite small, so you can’t really hang out there. TV is present but tiny, didn’t even use it. Bathroom also tiny.

The room was spacious and very clean. Hotel staff was very engaging, friendly and responsive. I enjoyed my stay very much!

A couple in the room above us had VERY noisy children (stomping feet, wresting on the floor, running back and forth until after 11pm)... Not the fault of the Hotel, but the floors/ceilings are NOT thick enough!! LOL!!
