Hotel Ste-Catherine

Location is excellent, parking is available and cheap (tight squeeze but we made a mini van work). AC was good (loud, but I like white noise). MY MATTRESS WAS AMAZING, don't know if the whole place is like that but it was a solidly good mattress. The place was quiet, clean enough, and the price is fantastic for where it is

It's an old hotel, so this is to be expected: obviously people smoked here once upon a time and the smell lingers (personally, I think that's a hoot)... things are tiny the way things are tiny in cities like Montreal, so if you're not up for some logistics in your bathroom, on the stairs, in the hallway, etc., this isn't the place for you. Also there are bars in the street below.. we were in 3rd floor and couldn't hear them bc of ac but I'm a different season, in the weekend, it could be a problem... request a room with no window to the street if you're concerned

Management were quite nice. Very pleasant. Room is always clean and room organized and clean. I have stayed here a number of times. I try different hotels out when i am in Montreal. I will be back. Thanks Management.

There is no dead bold on my door at 211. One kick and someone could be in my room . The people above, man and woman, were noisy and had tv on loud most of night, Druggies hanging by the door bothering people entering building.

I like having a breakfast at that time so was content with the breakfast. Able to take tray to room was great. shower was excellent room cleanliness excellent. Air conditioner worked excellent.

Tv was not working something to do with remote.. We did not receive plastic glasses in the room the third day. There was a fight at 3 in the morning back lot . I think they were ramming cars and yelling at each other.

room 207. I was across from Rockys bar. Breakfast is always great. A night of partying in the village. just wanted a coffee and toast. not a heavy breakfast.

The heat should have been turned on as it was cold outside. I turned it on eventually. One light switch did not work in the bathroom. Cold draft from the fan when u turn the light on. Staff were excellent.

I like the service that they provide at the factors that have breakfast in the morning and you can sleep while it's very quiet and very clean and tidy

Breakfast was excellent. I liked being near the porch. Location was excellent. Shower was excellent. Room was neat and clean. Air condition was excellent. Staff friendly.

Too high deposit, 200 dollars is huge price for what they offer. Stairs need some cleaning and main entrance is surrounded by random people.

It has everything you need, really. Fairly well located. Not too noisy. Fairly clean. The smell is bearable.

It doesn't smell like smoke, but like something to get rid of the smoke smell - which does stay in your clothes sometime. But overall it's fine.

The beds are comfortable and the televisions were modern. Very clean with daily housekeeping service available if you want it. The location is wonderful - close to the SAQ, Metro grocery, Papineau Station, and within walking distance to Old Montreal. The hotel is also situated within the east border of The Village. One of my favourite places is just steps away - a cute cafe called La Mie Matinale serving up baguette sandwiches, daily soups, homemade pastries, and excellent coffee.

There are some shady characters in the hotel, but they are harmless. I have never felt endangered when I stayed there.

It is affordable and accessible to everything Metro station -metro market - walking to old montreal like 15 mins
