A pretty resort with lovely pools and a cute restaurant. The room was spacious with big windows and nice views. Staff were polite and helpful. Only a 10 min drive into town. Great convenience store right next door.

It wasn’t located near anything walkable. The beach wasn’t very pretty and was VERY unsafe. Aggressive and harassing vendors who physically grabbed my friend. High rate of theft on the beach. I had locals trying to rob my backpack as I was kneeling in the sand trying to help a girl who drowned. If you are a foreigner, this beach is not for you.

I was there to relax and relax i did. Maryriosa at reception was incredibly friendly on arrival and departure. She even remembered my name when I approached reception to check out. Johnny was there from the moment I arrived to carry my bags and help me with my bags when I check out. The waiting staff were so helpful even though I didn't speak Spanish. Giving incredible food recommendations. The breakfast was AMAZING. The cleaning staff were so friendly and happy. The bar staff were incredibly kind and nice and helpful. Dropping drinks to the pool and always greeting with a smile.

The pool area was great, and the fact that the beach was nearby was also fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and the air conditioner worked perfectly. The staff was extremely helpful.

The breakfast needed a bit more variety; some of the options were bland. Additionally, many of the options would be done quickly, and sometimes, they would not restock. If breakfast is until 10 am everyday, there should be all the options until then. Also, you guys need to invest a bit more in the gym. The functional machine was broken, and the weights were pretty old.

The staff was incredible and the amenities where great. We ate in the peruvian restaurant and the food was truly exquisite. You can relax under the shade in the main pool, and the second pool gets sunlight all day long, if you prefer tanning like us. The beach is just a staircase away from the second pool so you can see the ocean while tanning in the pool. Overall very nice.

You only get wifi in the reception area and the rooms, other than that theres no wifi in the second pool or the restaurant right next to it. The breakfast was pretty average, not the best weve had, but still fair. The blackout curtains are not as blackout as we wished it was and it was kind of delicate (our curtain string broke with the least amount of effort.

The hotel was beautiful and the swimming pools cleaned daily and amazing. Breakfast was always different and very good. We went early 6am often and was great but went 9am once and then it was crazy busy. Staff very attentive and friendly. Tennis court was an added bonus and the hotel provided rackets and balls. Great stay.

Only thing was mosquitos. Not necessarily the hotels fault (next door to a bit of a swamp/Marsh) but if you didn't bring spray, you can't sit outside. A lot of hotels we've been to provide mosquitos repellent and this is literally the only thing I could say to make it a 10. As even standing checking in (10mins max) we both got atleast 7 bites each as lots of standing still water that looks beautiful but is a breading ground for mosquitos.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sonesta. The staff were kind and gentle all the time even when communication was not clear. I do not speak Spanish but I felt they wanted to understand and help. I had a couple issues like the batteries going out in the electronic lock, not being able to lock my balcony door and a blind falling down. The staff helped me immediately and were fun to work with! My room was clean and beautiful. The bed was comfortable. I would definitely return!

The location was convenient, the service and attention to detail was amazing! I liked being able to book reasonably priced excursions on site, the convenience stores and pharmacias were steps away, the restaurant was excellent, getting transportation anywhere was easy and reasonably priced, the view of the city and ocean were great, but I will get the beach view next time. Breakfast was great... variety, well-prepared, and served with a smile.The size of the room was standard and the balcony a great bonus. Rooms were clean and well-maintained with a great, but simple decor. Beds were moderately comfortable. There was a slight moldy smell in the hallways (which was to be expected when close to the ocean), but that slight odor was not in the room and did not affect the me. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. COVID safety precautions were gently enforced. Staff assisted in scheduling on-site COVID testing for me for my return trip to the US.

Ants in the room so don't order room service and keep the dishes afterwards....no candy wrappers or fruit. It was the season for them, but the hotel was super responsive when I showed them videos of the problem! Housekeeping took care of it immediately! The beach was super close, but to be told by security to go to the left, not the right because of the BARRIO was a little surprising, but we followed those instructions and there were no incidents. That part of the Boquilla Beach was lackluster, the water wasn't very clear, but it was okay. The pools were great, but it was expected that all of them would be available, but they weren't at all times. However, they were all well-maintained.

The pools are warm and clean with ample shady areas with nice lounge chairs. The food is excellent and the breakfast that's included is better than most in Colombia. The rooms were small with comfortable bedding. The showers have good water pressure. The staff and drivers were kind and helpful.
