this place lived up to its name, Paraiso Verde. we loved staying here, it was so peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful gardens and humming birds zipping all over the place. There is a bus you can catch from the top of the drive that takes you into the centre in around 20 mins. the staff were really friendly, and Yeny was very helpful to us when we had a medical emergency. all the staff at Lodge Paraiso Verde seem to be very happy. The breakfast was good, including fresh fruit. we took our evening meals there which were excellent and reasonably priced. we would love to return to this place one day

Beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking the valley. We had one of the bungalows and waking up to a view of just trees through the big glass patio doors was heavenly! All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Jenny who speaks very good English. She arranged a takeaway for us one night as there was no food available at the lodge. Excellent bird watching and four lovely walks from the house. Good breakfast and good meals in the evening. We didn’t have transport but enjoyed just relaxing there with a pool table and a honesty bar and hammocks.

Incredible vibe, eco lodge style setting so close to Manizales. The lodge feels like it is in another world all its own. Many options for room or cabanas. The restaurant was very cute with amazing view and excellent food. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. They let us check out late so we could do unexpected computer work in the lovely common room. I enjoyed hiking around the mountain on their trails. This place is fantastic.

We’d prefer mosquito nets in the eco lodge environment and then would feel more comfortable leaving the doors and windows open at night.

Incredibly beautiful setting, with amazing views. I planned to stay here one night while in my motorcycle tour through Colombia, but the setting was so nice, I stayed 2 nights. The first night I spent in the lodge in a room with a private bathroom and balcony, which was very nice. The second night, I moved down to one of the bungalows, which was even better….. very private and quiet. It was like a piece of heaven! I highly recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food was great.

This is a real paradise. You will have a chance to wake up to the sounds of birds like you never heard before. The bungalow is a must, one of the best experiences in my life, it is surrounded by nature, and is designed to perfection. The breakfast is AMAZING, and the staff is very smiley and will help you with anything you need. They also have a shared kitchen you can use yourself. And there are 4 short hikes right off the hotel, you can go and explore the nature around it. The location is right outside the city, 10m drive by taxi from the center.

Some of the best views you will ever get. The staff, Yeny, Victor and Luz were very friendly and accommodating. The place is absolutely gorgeous.

The only downside is that the road leading to the hotel is unpaved and very rocky. Some taxi drivers could not reach the hotel entrance, so I had to walk down the hill a few times. It is very difficult to reach by car. Breakfast was also very repetitive with just 2 options, so they should look into adding more options for guests who stay for a few days.

We stayed 3 nights in one of the little bungalows with an amazing view, even from the shower. We really loved our stay. The location is great, in the middle of nature, but if you want to go to Manizales you can take a bus not far away and go. I also recommend having dinner in the lodge as the food was delicious. The veggie Lasagne was one of the best I ever had! We will definitely come back, when we get a chance.

Amazing property and view! It is a real paradise and I could have easily stayed longer. The room is a bit tired and could be really standout with a few updates but the bed is comfortable. Very good breakfast provided. An incredible little troupe of small dogs live on the property and really made our stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay nice.

A bit far from anywhere so you really need a car. The driveway down is pretty steep and bumpy, we barely made it down in our small car.

I got to say is the most beautiful place that can connect you with nature. Loved the typical Colombian breakfast. Arepa /with eggs and caserola w/chocolate or 100% Colombian Coffee. The attention of the staff Jenny, Luz, Víctor and Adriana they were the best. They made sure my family was comfortable, and where very attentive to their needs in the room. The rooms are spotless and clean. Loved also the mountain trenches, within the lodge and is a great place to hike in the vacinity. Most espectacular my family for the first time saw the most colorful birds in front of us withing a very close distance like the colibrí / hummingbirds. My family felt very safe and is a place for a full relaxation breathing 100% nature's air. My family and I highly recommend this beautiful place, and is a 5 to 10 min ride towards the city of Manizales. Very strategic location. We will come back again for sure.

The place is absolutely lovely - set in stunning surroundings even though it is a short bus ride into Manizales. A beautiful garden with walking trails, so much plant and bird life. Nice common room with books, games and a pool table! Free drinking water, coffee and teas. Nice meals. Very friendly and helpful staff. Mona the dog will keep you amused.
