The hotel is very small, only 10 bungalows, which is a plus for us. Our room with 2 comfortable double beds was big, clean and quiet. In the beautiful garden you can watch wildlife, even from a hammock, we saw monkeys, tucans and hummingbirds. There is a short path to the river La Fortuna. Rancho is located outside the loud La Fortuna village but only 20 minutes walking distance, 3 and 8 minutes from the nearest restaurants and 5 minutes to a small supermarket and a souvenir shop. In a small bar you can enjoy a drink. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely cabin in beautiful grounds. You can watch hummingbirds from your private deck. Great location if you have a car - near the waterfall and close to La Fortuna in a quiet spot. Walkable to a supermarket and decent restaurant. Cabin was big enough for a couple and teenager (two double beds). Breakfast was very good with excellent views. The owner (and son) clearly want you to be comfortable. There is a good river walk right on the grounds and access to all of La Fortuna's activities. We went to the hot springs (Ecotermales - which were really good and cheaper than some of the others)

I loved the landscaping of the property the most! I could tell a professional had designed the plants around each hut. There were so many birds because of the trees, and each hut felt very private from the other huts. We also loved the breakfast each morning with fruit and fresh juice! So delicious and helped us feel good our whole trip, especially when we got to box our food for later. We enjoyed the location, which was removed from the main town and the college students visiting for their spring break. A market and restaurants were in walking distance, the property had their own river trail we enjoyed exploring, and the staff was really helpful in helping us get a ride. We loved Kevin!!!! He is the best. Finally, we were only 30min drive from the Arenal Volcano Visitor Center and free access to hot springs, 10min drive to town, 10min walk to zip lining and waterfall access, and 5min walk from river and rope swing. Pura Vida! We would stay here again in the future.

The stuff were amazing, very helpful and polite. Kevin was outstanding and really helpful, he went over and above to help us with everything needed. Juan was lovely too! It is a small resort operated by a family which are living opposite at the resort, so you have all the attention needed. The location is amazing, with views to the volcano the river is right opposite to the hotel. The gardens are beautiful and clean so it attract a lot of birds. Close by there is a good restaurant a mini market and coffeeshop. Also the city centre is 5 minutes driving. The best part of our stay, was that our balcony was facing the jungle, so waking up to this was amazing!

We were in the self contained cabin #9 backing on the jungle ravine with a river below. We loved the location near the town of La Fortuna but on a quieter road. Close to a very good restaurant and a convenience store. The patio was nice with chairs and a hammock. There were some kitchen facilities but not much, and the bathroom was nice and clean. We liked the cabin's high ceilings and big glass doors looking out over the jungle. Only one door opened, and the wifi was only so so, and the safe was too small for a laptop. It was the only one of 6 hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica that didn't include breakfast.

Delicious breakfast, free parking, helpful recommendations for activities, and the cutest villas with hammocks and balconies. Also we were very close to the tour spots and to an amazing restaurant called Chante Verde. Kevin at the front desk was amazing!

I wish we were a bit closer to the downtown Fortuna area, but it was okay to do the ~25 min walk or so because there were other tourists (even at night). We never felt unsafe and the hotel arranged pickup for most things too.

The beds were comfortable and bathroom was basic but clean. The property is beautiful with a trail you can walk on down to the river and the staff is amazingly helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious! We had dinner at the restaurant next door one evening and loved the food and vibe there as well. The hotel is a short drive to La Fortuna waterfall, Bogarin trail, Mistico Hanging bridge park, Arenal volcano and the hot springs.

Our room had a refrigerator outside and table with very rigid hard chairs on the back porch. We would have loved to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful landscaping, but the chairs were very uncomfortable for sitting more than 10 minutes.

Beautiful room with private deck and hammock that we loved relaxing in after the morning taxi-boat-taxi trip from Monterverde. The staff was so nice and helpful! We were just in La Fortuna for one night but wished we could have stayed here another night.

The only thing I would have added would be a coffee pot in the room.

lots of things to do, staff helps even set up tours, massages if requested. the property staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming. All a family owned business, which is awesome. You also can go to a river in the back and swim, and see animals if lucky as well! I enjoyed the environment, and happy we stayed here for the value.

Monkeys can wake you up early sometimes during our stay we would hear them as early as 4 AM- 6 AM

This hotel is a gem within the incredible La Fortuna location! It is walking distance to the center town area (about a 15 minute walk) - we walked during the day and night and got around easily. The staff were super kind and thoughtful - they would go out of their way to make our days as great as possible! There is a great trail on the hotel property as well that leads to a peaceful river. The property itself is very well maintained and features beautiful flowers!
