Loved the location!! An easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town! The breakfast was excellent! Good choices, bottomless coffee, juice, fruit! But the BEST thing about the stay at Hotel Downtown is the staff!!! Everyone, without exception, was very friendly, helpful, kind, and courteous!!! Anything we needed (info on a tour, recommendations for restaurants, directions, etc.), the staff was always there, more than willing to go the extra mile!!!

The room should have had a desk chair to match the small writing desk. There was no place to sit in the room except on the bed! It was awkward trying to work on the computer just sitting up in bed. The small deck chairs should have some all-weather seat/back pads attached to them because they are not too comfortable without padding.

It's important to think about the location of your hotel. I really loved the fact that I could pour a cup of coffee and then walk out onto the town square and reflect. Same thing after a tour, to have the bus drop you off, change your shoes, get 2 minutes of AC and then head right back out to a soda downtown for lunch or dinner. I was really glad I stayed here specifically because of its location. Realize there were lots of other places that many different price points some high-end resorts 15 minute cab ride away or a really cheap hostel a 15 minute walk away for me this is exactly where I wanted to be and the type of vacation I wanted.

The location of the hotel was perfect and was nicely tucked away so when you entered the hotel it felt like you were in your own little sanctuary. I'm a big fan of boutique hotels and this one was super charming. The hotel restaurant was also excellent. Some of the best food we had throughout our stay. Staff was also amazing and super accommodating at all hours of the day.

We tried to get adjoining rooms, but because of the size of our party and availability it was not feasible. Our larger room was suitable except the wifi reception was not great. The room was located downstairs so that may have been an issue in terms of access to the wifi. Our upstairs room wifi worked fine.

The staff made the visit, helpful And kind. Also they made sure I was safe which was incredible! I went on a tour and met some friends. When I declined transportation back to the hotel to stay with friends, the hotel followed up with a text to make sure I was safe, this wasn’t confusion and also that I had transportation back. Amazing!!! Great location y servicios. Rooms were clean, comfortable and the property was super cute… pictures don’t do Justice!

Location was excellent, Staff was very nice and helpful,It was better than we expected in general so very satisfied.

The parking was a little hard,the gate did not open all the way and the space to pass the car was small you also had to get out of the car to close/open the gate and lock each time so you had to leave the car parked in a little bad spot with part of the car on the street, overall not the best parking but it was a decent parking for downtown and included so you adjust. Also the cleanness of the bathroom was decent but not top notch. Like i said it was a great stay better than we expected when we booked it so still bery satisfied.

It was in a great location, directly in downtown Fortuna and it had a private, secured parking space. It also had a refleshing pool and nice common area with delicious breakfast. The rooms were very clean and it had air conditioning, which was great too.

Good location right in the heart of Fortuna. Restaurant in the hotel was very good and included breakfasts were very filling. Staff was super friendly and helpful in booking tours. There was live music in the restaurant some nights which was nice to listen to from the balcony. If you prefer going to bed early or are looking for a quieter place this may not be the best option for you, however the restaurant and music was finished by 10pm. I enjoyed being in the heart of things! Beds were comfy and AC worked well. Pool is small but refreshing.

Room was fine for the price and service was outstanding. Place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's well kept and very comfortable.

We got apartment no.1 which is right next to the pool and the restaurant. The big window really doesn't offers you any kind of privacy. We had to stay with the drawers on all the time. I recommend the owner to add a mirror effect foil. Probably that we would fix this issues.

Vanessa from the front desk was just amazing!!! We got a lovely welcome with nice cocktails and were shown to our room with help with the bags, every member of the staff was just phenomenal! Best service and kind people. Breakfast was really good as well! At night we ate at the hotel restaurant, amazing food and service for a very good price!! Everything in this hotel was exceptional, would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area! Location was also great, we found this place on our last two days in La Fortuna and wished we would have stayed there from the beginning! Definitely good value for the price which was not high at all!! 10/10 recommended

Perfect location in central La Fortuna, you can walk everywhere. Breakfast was also very good, you had two options: typical costa rican or american, plus juice coffee and fruit. Hotel was very clean, we had room service everyday! Oh and VERY friendly staff, always had a smile on their face.

There was no real common area to hang out and meet other people. And maybe the room furniture can be outdated for some (wasnt a problem for us).
