Wonderful, clean and modern looking cabins with a beautiful view overlooking Arenal Lake. big and comfortable bed, large and well functioning shower and very good and optimal use of space in the cabin. We were greeted every morning by some birds on top of our cabin, and could see and hear all kinds of wildlife from the deck overlooking the lake. Special mention for the lovely cats running around the property and coming to greet us! The hotel staff provided special vegan options for breakfast every morning, which were absolutely lovely and tasty, and which was well above our expectations. Also a big thank you for allowing us to check in at a very late time at night and staying up late especially to accomodate us, very much appreciated! Driving distance from La Fortuna and many surrounding activities and touristic locations, the cabins are located outside of the touristic area in a beautiful and quiet place.

Parking space could be a bit small if all cabins are occupied, is just sufficient if everyone parks properly.

Heavenly escape. Exceptional service; Ana Milena and Bastian are very welcoming and friendly, attentive to every detail. They offered great suggestions on activities and were very open and generous; fantastic recommendations. Breakfast is scrumptious; every item made from scratch, plentiful and delicious. The rooms are comfortable and offer a killer view of the lake. The entire hotel is La peaceful retreat. There are a couple of restaurants near by and La Fortuna (nearest town) is half an hour away.

We are a family of five and had the most wonderful stay at the hotel. Each room has a balcony with the most extraordinary view of the lake and natural jungle; every morning we relaxed outdoors with fresh coffee as local birds visited. The owners were incredibly gracious and poured their passion for their hotel into their service and accommodations. We spent Christmas evening at the hotel, and they orchestrated a delicious meal and live music in the setting of a lively forest - it was truly magical.

Overall we enjoyed staying at Laguna Arenal. The best part of the stay was the view! The balcony oversees the lake and rainforest below. Anna and the rest of the staff are very friendly and professional. The room was just as described and they cleaned the room everyday while we were there for four nights. The breakfast they served was excellent. Anna was very personable and helped us with making reservations at a local attraction that we were having difficulty with. She also invited us to a fantastic dinner one of the nights while we were there. It was one of the best dinners we had in Costa Rica.

There are two recommendations we would like to acknowledge. First, the water in the showers need to be a little hotter. Second, it would be great if there were coffee makers in the individual rooms so that we could enjoy some coffee early while sitting on the balcony. However, we did see that other guests were able to go down to the kitchen area and bring coffee back to the rooms.

Ana was an incredible host! The gourmet breakfasts and dinner we had with her were the best in Costa Rica. Our private room was tucked under beautiful trees with a large balcony and lake views. We even were visited by a group of toucans who kept us thrilled for an hour. We'd highly recommend a stay here.

We didn't realize when we booked that the lake was further from the property than we thought. However, the beautiful surroundings and ambience, and the lack of noisy tourists made it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the area.

The views are incredible! Although we only had dinner one night I wish we would have eaten every night at the property, it was the best value and the best tasting food around Arenal- breakfast each morning was also amazing. We also loved how attentive the cleaning staff was, every afternoon we returned ‘home’ to a tidy room with fresh towels.

Wow!!!! The location, view, and comfort of the rooms were outstanding, and I want to thank our host for all her efforts in making our stay a memorable experience. This is a place where I would love to stay again, even for a longer period. We found it difficult to leave.

We loved Laguna Arenal the minute we arrived. Our accommodations were perfect, very clean, bathroom very spacious and updated. The view from our cabin was amazing!!! Breakfasts were incredible!!! A lot of variety with fresh ingredients. Wifi worked very well. Our host's: Milena & Bastiaan, were the best! Extremely accommodating, paid attention to details and also aimed to please.

Access to hot water 24/7, to make tea without having to bother our hosts.

It’s 30 min drive to La Fortuna for daily activities But worth the money . Only thing I didn’t like is the offered us new year Eve dinner and charged us 300 for family for 5 No menu so didn’t knew how much was price They should have told us before hand .

the location is amazing with a beautiful view over the lake. the cabins are well designed. the bed is very comfortable.

The place is clean, but not sparkling. Some dust everywhere. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom, but no power supply to plug it in. I personally don’t like the combination of orange and bright green. the place is sold at a high price but the orange headpiece of the bed and frog-green curtains make it look cheap.
