Close to the area there's great dinning options, and it's right next to the bus stops so you can go to the most center part of Georgetown. The bellstaff was super nice and helpfull with calling taxis or recommendid places to eat.

There were no towels on the room when we got htere and had to call 3 times for them to bring them, as I called HK and did not answerd, called reception and they said I had to call HK, I told them I had already if they could plese just send them, the person said yes, buut did not do it, so the third time HK actually answerd and sent them. There was do not disturb sign on the room so everyday they woke us up very early to do the cleaning and as we were in they would ring the door until we oppened, and never come back later to clean, and there was no way for us to request it cause again, the sign was not there. So those are the complains, little insignificant details but they did made a mark on the experience.

The bed n room was comfortable.. enjoyed the welcome drink.. the staffs were polite.. but afternoon manager/supervisor not sure was not friendly didn't even great us.. check out was smooth.. the concierge person very friendly..

Iron only can use for 30min the other day for 1hr only I wish they hv iron in all the rooms so we can use it any time..

The Front Office and the cafe staff of Berjaya Penang were excellent. They were friendly, approachable and service from heart. Ms Lena Prema who checked us in to Room 2201 was wonderful. She accommodated to our request and with sincere smile and explained in details. In short , the staff training for these 2 departments are well tailored.

The Hotel is showing signs of aging. Perhaps can consider to do rooms upgrading to compete with the newer hotels . Room 2201 is cleaned when I check in. The bathtub grouting around the bathtub needs to be change. Mouldy. Increase rooms preventive maintenance measure. Room Attendants need to learn to greet guests despite coming from foreign talents and their carts can more tidy and neat.

They got us upgraded room for free. Of course i'm happy and love it. The view from my room(level19) guite good, city view + another building view. Staff are really responsive to what i request. Got my iron within 5min is quite impressive for me. The breakfast are so cheap. It's only RM20. But yah. What they serve suit the price. Nothing more. Nasi lemak without lemak with ikan goreng? Huhu.

Got hair in the toilet floor. Got 'getah rambut' under the bed. Obviously not mine. Big advice. Check your towel before use. Got nasty one but too tired to complain. Only found it out by midnight. The interior and building itself are a bit old. But to have a rundown mall beside the hotel is kinda eyesore for me.

Room was huge enough for 4 of us, with 2 twin & a super king beds ... Very comfy.. we stayed at 19th floor with "city-view".. less than 5 km to city centre, with surrounding shopping malls (not a walking distance though ☺️)..

The comfortness and cleanliness of the room. The staff also friendly and helpful.

The hotel might need to do renovation as it look old. And the location actually quite creepy at night.

Breakfast has a good variety. Location is not far away from Gurney Plaza. (about 10 mins drive). 15 mins walk to Gurney Paragon. Room is spacious.

We would prefer a non-bath tub showering area. I'm travelling with my parents and they find it difficult & dangerous to use the bath tub for showering.

We supposed to check in 3pm. But 9pm at night baru kami dapat bilik. maybe weekend😩

Perfect place if you want to experience Penang Thaipusam. Walking distance to the temple. Beside that convenient and easy access to town.

Should improve more on the washroom cleanliness and the space provided for car park.

Great overall service. Nice and healthy breakfast. Family room accommodated us well. Staff were very helpful and friendly

The only negative is the deco and furniture!! Very very old furniture some which started to rot away. The chairs in the room looked dirty.
