Sleep Inn & Suites Metairie

The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had an issue with the TV and someone came up right away to resolve it. The bed and pillows were very soft and comfy. I liked that the bedside lamp had usb plugs to charge my phone. All the lamp bases had regular outlet plugs on the bases to plug in chargers or other electronics (easier than looking for a wall outlet). Hotel is 2 blocks from Cafe du Monde and close to many other restaurants.

"Breakfast" was very disappointing, even the coffee. Parking was limited in the hotel lot (there was street parking and extra parking at a bank lot across the street). The parking lot was not kept clean. There were some minor cosmetic problems that easily could be fixed...dangling drawer handles, missing smoke detector, gaps between faucet and counter (easy to fill with caulk)....but that some people might consider huge problems.

The suite was big and had lots of space. The staff is super nice and informative . The beds were cozy. I loved the first floor suite.

The big water bug by the lamp that we sprayed mosquito spray on and then had a staff spray area with roach spray. Then, the room smelled like roach spray. No hot breakfast. Rooms need a little TLC and flooring instead of rugs. They should put a table and chairs in the suites. Poor lighting.

Affordable and comfortable. Shower and water pressure was great. Very pleased with the room. Front desk worker was fantastic and helpful. She did a wonderful job of recognizing me as a valued guest.

Breakfast was o.k., I really like a waffle maker and batter, that's the best hotel breakfast. That would have made it incredibly better. But otherwise it was sufficient Weed smoking seems to go unchecked, while my traveling partner who smokes cigarettes, has to exit the building and go outside to smoke. That seems to be a recurring thing in all hotels, and it needs to stop. While cigarette smoke is bad enough and damaging to the rooms, weed smoking is worse and I can't stand the smell of it. I don't know if it is considered as a violation. But I know if someone smokes cigarettes, or cigars, the management will kick a guest out in a minute. It's disgusting.

Check in was quick and easy and the staff very personable. The room seemed spacious for the 5 of us. There were no sheets for the sofa bed, but we were able to get them at the front desk. An extra blanket would have been nice. The sofa bed mattress was not very comfortable, but the queen beds were nice. The bathtub drain wouldn't close properly to use it as a tub, but the shower was good. Toiletries were provided and were good quality. The breakfast was danish/pastries, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, milk, chocolate milk, juice, toast, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches which I thought was a nice variety and very sanitary.

everything went well from check in to check out. the rooms were clean, comfortable, and easily to access. i really like the ease of access to the interstate, eateries, and shopping if i needed something. target is right across the road. i like how i was easily able to get downtown from the hotel. i like the continental breakfast as well. it was fresh, hot, ready to serve. it also had options that i liked.

i didn't like that i was charged before i checked in and charged separately for my stay.

Room was clean, place in a safe location, very nice front desk staff, and a good price for all the amenities you get!!!

The property seems to have a moisture and ventilation issue, like just about everywhere in New Orleans. It’s alright!!!!

Parking lot. Little maintenance done as our door had to be lifted up in order to shut completely and locked. Elevator felt a tad bit sketchy. A complimentary massage with each night booked would be the greatest idea and would definitely create more business. Just a thought!

It was very quiet at night. You did not hear other guest in the hallway. Like I did at other 5 star hotels. Breakfast was just enough to satisfy.

The bathroom could do with some maintenance, the shower needs a bit more water pressure.
