Very clean. Excellent breakfast everyday. Throughout the day you could order drinks or smoothies. It is very close to many excellent restaurants. The staff, Louis-specifically, was very helpful in coordinating a taxi driver to take us different places in the city. It is also a very peaceful and tranquil place. Loved the massages and the price. The therapist are both very skilled. Housekeeping changes your sheets every day and clean your rooms daily. They pay attention to when you leave your room and come in right away and clean up. Loved that you could rent a. ATV to get around!

There is not a gym to do a little workout. That was a little disappointing. We did swim and did workouts in our room and walked around the city but it would have been a nice to have. Also it would have been nice to have lunch and/or dinner options at Tukuma as well— maybe light meals—-so you’re not having to go out every day. Also to have an extra towel set in the room for each person occupying the room.

- big room and comfortable bed - good shower, good water pressure and always access to hot water - beautiful hotel - boho style - great location - nicely tucked away but close to beach - lots of storage in the room - parking space for car - high speed internet - great benefit was having Netflix with villa hosting account. great for rainy days

- REALLY loud fridge which was quite disruptive at night - loud squeaking bathroom door so we woke each other up every time going to the toilet in the night - staff could have been friendlier - breakfast options could have been better

We stayed at Takuma 11 nights. First of all the whole staff! Welcoming, kind, flexible and very helpful. For us, this is something important that we value a lot and truly makes a big difference. Service quality was A+. On top of this, calm and relaxing atmosphere, tasty breakfast, good massage at the spa, drinks at the hotel if needed but also restaurants/bars/shops/beach a few minutes away walking-distance. In a nutshell, great boutik hotel, fantastic staff and excellent location together made the whole experience exceptional! We will recommend to friends and family and will definitely stay again there whenever we come back to Las Terrenas! Thanks Takuma Team ! You rock !

For some reasons, all the stuff which fell into the pool were ending up at the back end of the pool in front of our room, which makes it sometimes not so pleasant to get into the pool from our room to swim...however whenever the staff was informed, they kindly cleaned it on the spot. Suggestion: Might worth having someone cleaning the pool twice a day, instead of once a day?

we loved the property and the central location to everything , walkable to beach and restaurants but also tucked away so that it’s nice and quiet -away from the noise and hustle bustle. Such a cute little boutique hotel, great staff, they include a lovely freshly cooked breakfast everyday! comfortable beds, complimentary Netflix and pool access right outside your balcony :)

Super cool boutique hotel with a lovely pool that runs alongs the rooms and great communal areas. Really well designed hotel with an excellent location just set back from the front in Las Terrenas. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Delicious cocktails available until 8pm at the bar.

Many mosquitos in the room / area (although the hotel did fumigate once while we were there). Rainfall shower not working and bed not particularly comfy. Poor advice given on a very disappointing excursion.

beautiful property with spacious rooms. air of calm & tranquility. pool is absolutely breathtaking. everything makes you feel close to nature. appreciate the customer service delivered to turn our experience around after inadvertently booking wrong room.

initially & inadvertently booked the standard room, which feels like a totally different hotel. Max & owners kind enough to work something out so we were able to upgrade to the beautiful rooms by the pool. truly made our stay as we 100% would have been miserable in the standard room. another small thing was that we would have liked to have been told that massages cannot be charged to the room and must be paid with cash. we weren’t expecting that and had to grab cash from the atm at the last moment

The breakfast was yummy but you couldn’t order foodat the hotel. Only ordering outside and then they deliver it at the hotel. The room was big, we had the room with whirlpool but the first day it didn’t heat because the bouler was broken. The bath was still dirty so we cleaned it outselves and the toiletbrush needs replacement, because it’s visibly very dirty. Also the corners of the bathroom had mold. For the reat the room was clean and comfy. Airconditioning was nice! And the swimming pool was smaller than it looks on the pictures but is refreshing and contains salt water what is healthier. The people were very friendly.

beautiful place to stay, love walking out of my room into the pool/river that goes past the room. Enjoyed just sitting with my feet in the water and reading. Breakfast was tasty and good size. Small and cosy place only 4 other rooms so quite intimate. Nice staff, friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was clean and simple, but a bit dark, better lighting would help

We stayed 3 nights at the Takuma Boutique Resort. We enjoyed everything about it. It is very quiet and private, since it only has 7 rooms. The room was bigger than expected and every room has it's own terrace with access to the pool. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. And the resort itself is absolutly beautiful. We would definitly book there again.

Beautiful rooms, quiet location, walking distance from the beach, restaurants and bars. Wonderful, relaxing stay for couples and smaller groups. We stayed for 6 nights and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Guests and owners wife chain smoking during breakfast. Although the area is open, the smell and presence of cigarettes was unpleasant, troublesome for asthma and got into my clothes. This could be easily addressed by extending the non-smoking policy in the rooms to include other areas of the property as well. Smoking at breakfast is the only reason the property didn’t get 10/10 from me!
