Beautiful cosy family owned Hotel in the heart of Quito. We felt from the first moment at home. Diego and his family took us with open heart and made our stay unforgettable. The Hotel is a wonderful colonial style with a garden to relax and a roof-top for the sun-downer with terrefic view on the illuminated Basilica. The rooms are spacious and wonderful clean. The breakfast is with fruits, eggs and local additions. We had several georgeous diners with an outstanding Ceviche. The 400gr. T-Bone for 18,- USD was simply perfect. We used the hotel as a base for trips in Ecuador. You can leave your belongings for a trip to Galapagos with light lugguage. The team supported us on every questions and was more than helpful and kind. Hint: Ecuadorian pre-paid SIM cards work only with a national ID. They were so nice and activated the card for me. Finally I had a private cooking course with the chef and he let me look over his shoulder while preparing Cevice. Drinks, snacks and good for daily living can be bought at a supermarket 100 meters right of the hotel.

Even trying hard to find something to complain I have nothing.

This is a beautiful old historic building that has been fully restored by the owner who clearly took pains during the restoration construction. It had the most comfortable beds of all the places we stayed in Ecuador and the courtyard and small garden in the back was a delightful and peaceful place to escape the activity of Quito. They also held onto our luggage all day on check out day since our flight was so late in the evening, very accommodating.

As with many areas in Quito, it is not in the safest area at night, although walking around in the day time is just fine.

Our stay here took an unexpected turn when both me and my husband became ill. Thankfully, the hotel was beyond amazing- including an insanely comfortable bed ! We had to spend our entire 3 night stay in our room. I couldn't have imagined a better place to be sick in bed! Our room was stunning. The natural architecture and spirit of the hotel is still present with all the necessary upgrades you'd want on vacation. Our room was the Galapagos Suite; it included a beautiful blue clawfoot tub and shower big enough for 4 people. The windows on our room opened to a balcony where we got an action shot of all the hustle and bustle of the city center. The hotel is centrally located near everything in walking distance. The hotel staff made sure to be very thorough about safety measures to take when walking around the city. We only made it out of the room for one lunch because we didn't feel well but restaurants were a short taxi ride away. We probably could have walked if we had felt better. The staff took such good care of us. They knew we weren't feeling well so they helped us locate the closest pharmacy (30 second walk) and checked in on us often. I could go on and on about how much I loved this property!

No A/C in the room but you can open the windows to let cool air in the room and that works just fine

Beautiful building with consistent early 20th century interior design. A lot of space per guest. Room was excellent, modern and clean. One of our best breakfasts in Ecuador (many options, tasty). Motivated, young staff that helped readily with everything. Very good value.

Atmosphere slightly too antiquated during our stay. Seems to attract retirees. A few things that will probably settle after a while: staff is very young and therefore lacks the last bit professionalism/experience, e.g. repeatedly left the door between restaurant and garden open during breakfast although mornings are quite chilly in Quito. We found the playlist in the restaurant annoying after a while (a bit too retro and same songs all the time). Shower inevitably flooded parts of the bathroom.

Absolutely great stay! The staff were so hospitable and helpful. They made sure I was safely received when arriving and even helping me when I couldn't pay a taxi due to having no change on hand. They were helpful with recommendations and tips. A bottle of wine in the room, and water, and a lovley breakfast. Bed was comfortable. They had netflix in the room. All very clean. Great location close to many churches, restaurants. From the airport was $29 and is about a 45 minute drive.

I couldn't figure out how to work the safe. I think they may have entered the room while I was gone to dinner, to close curtains etc. It was nice that they did that, especiallyas i trust them , but is slightly uncomfortable as it's not something I'm used to.

Friendly staff. The rooms were super comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely would come again.

The location itself was good but in a bad neighborhood. You don't want to wander outside at night. A bit too pricey.

What a find. A fantastic little boutique hotel with personal touches and incredible customer service. The staff couldn’t do more for you. Any request was quickly followed up. Our room was large, modern and very comfortable. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows with super soft bedding. Wonderful shower and robes provided. Breakfast every morning was delicious and served beautifully. Perfect eggs every day! Location is good for walking to the historic centre / old town.

Our room was a little loud due to traffic noise from the main road. We were awake early so this was not a huge problem but I would ask for an inside room if you are not an early riser. Be careful walking around the area at dusk/night. We felt a little uneasy.

Highly recommend! The room itself was spacious and charming. First the basics: an excellent shower with good water pressure and instant hot water; a very comfortable bed with good mattress; very clean, quiet room, good towels. Then: friendly, helpful hospitality from the owner Diego; nice breakfast. Excellent wifi and Netflix. The location is very good from a transpo aspect, right on an electric bus stop. Supermercado nearby. The new metro (not yet completed construction tho) has a stop within a block. In walking distance of Centro Historico.

Nothing really. I would say that the restaurant selection is a little slim in this area. Street noise on rooms facing the road could be a problem (it was not an issue for us as we had an interior room).

This is an old fashioned, charming hotel with beautiful rooms and a lovely dining room and garden area. The 24-hour staff bent over backwards to make sure all my wants and needs were met and I had a wonderful stay that included a walking tour of Quito's historical district and a visit to Mindo which the hotel arranged for me. I recommend this hotel without any reservation.

My room was right over a main street so there was frequent traffic noise. I would suggest you ask for a room that is not over the street.
