So Fadi is the most gracious host I have ever met. This is a short list of how awesome he is: He pulled my friends car out of the sand when he got stuck about 30 minutes away; I had a car accident early in the morning and did not have my phone, and he tracked me down at the hospital and brought my wife with my wallet to pay so I could leave; he stayed with me the ENTIRE DAY to sort out the paperwork with the police; drove me 2 hours north to deal with the prosecutor's office and then back again; and then spent another morning dealing with the owner of the car and the police again to have the car sent back to Cairo. He asked for nothing and was just doing this all out of kindness- he is a truly remarkable and one of a kind guy. Also, the camp is nice. Lots of room for my dog to romp around, and it's away from the city lights so the camp fires and star gazing were incredible. So was the food, Abdul is a wonderful chef. Short walk to an empty beach with great snorkeling. Dive shop on-site.

All was great!

Loved the place. Fady and all the staff is amazing, friendly and helpful in case you need anything. The food was super tasty, no problems as a vegetarian either and if you cannot make it for breakfast (early dive) they prepare a small food package the evening before to take with you. The "house" was spacious, very basic but has everything you need. Really appreciated the free water and snacks. Loved the dogs and the area & surroundings are beautiful, stunning sunrises, sunsets and night sky included. (Gotta love "nothingness", peace and quiet tho :) Also did not have any problems or weird situations being alone as a female around the area. And can recommend the deep south dive school. Cannot wait to go back! :)

Maybe a little more variety for breakfast would be nice And the shower pressure makes it a bit hard to wash long hair

We spent 4 nights here and we can't wait to come back. The peace, the view, the people, the dogs... Everything is very simple and far from the resorts that are everywhere around Marsa Alam. As we were trying to escape from chaos, staying at the lodge was just perfect. Karim is an amazing person, as everyone from the staff. The diving center is a plus, we loved going snorkeling at the coral reef.

Nothing! But if you're looking for a resort like experience, try to go somewhere else. The only negative reviews I saw about this place came from people who had no idea what they were booking.

If you want to get away from the confusion and the blandness of the resorts, you will find a back to basics great spot just south of Marsa Alam. Staff very welcoming and kind. Great meals, my 7 year old son loved the pancakes for breakfast. Best thing is you meet a lot of like minded travellers who rather swap the comforts of resorts and guides for a simple life by the Red Sea. The staff will help arrange tours, and there are diving centers on the beach for all your snorkeling and diving needs. Bring towels and flash light. Electric power only from 17:30 to 22:30 ( after that a beautiful view of the stars). There is a trust shop on the premises with drinks, snacks, and stuff like toothpaste, etc.

Great location, it’s the opposite of a resort. Quiet, secluded, near the beach with a great dive shop and house reef to snorkel. Easy access to Marsa Alam by taxi. Fady and all his team were lovely. They really go out of their way to help you. Food for dinner and breakfast was great. Met lots of nice people over the shared dinners and by diving together. Clear starry nights and nice sunsets over the desert/mountains in distance too. Facilities are basic but good value - would recommend staying here if you like the above!

Electricity is limited to a few hours a day and theres no wi fi- but that’s also part of what makes it a great place to disconnect and relax

The host Fady will do everything to make you feel home, which is super comforting. the food was delicious, especially the dinner which can be booked additionally for about 3$ per meal. The beach is fantastic and all the surrounding are super interesting. the dogs were super cool, especially the 10 puppies :)

cold water, but you get used to it pretty quick. hard mattress, but it cured my back pain haha

The location is simply excellent for snorkeling. Go out into the water to the right of the boats and keep looking to your left as you curl around the outer shelf of the coral reef. You will see amazing things. During my 3-day stay there I probably spent 12 hours in the water. The simple meals provided were tasty, fun, and very healthy. The family that takes care of the food does a great job. The accommodations are rustic. Don't be expecting more than a simple cabin with attached bathroom. It almost feels open air, but as long as it's reasonably cool weather I would go back. I would not recommend going in the heat of the summer.

For whatever reason, the breeze really doesn't get to the rooms. Power is only on from about 7:30pm (19:30) to 11:30 (23:30) as it is generator power, which means if it's very hot out you might wake up in a sweat around midnight after your fan has given out. The accommodations are more rustic, think State Park cabin with attached bathroom and some simple furniture including a wardrobe. Know that they also do not accept credit cards. Bring enough cash to pay your tab and any diving expenses. Otherwise, you will need to stop at an ATM on the way to the airport.

This place is a pearl and perfect if you are looking for a budget, quiet place and meet like-minded people! I stayed for a week, as a solo traveller female in Egypt I was a bit unsure, however, Abdul and his family were brilliant making me feel at home from the start! Abdul is the chef at the camp, so don't miss his delicious breakfasts (included) and dinners (additional, around 5-6€ meal). The camp is on a top of a hill, just 5min walk from the beach! The area is not touristy, so the beach is very quiet! You have the diving centre there and a beach bar. If you are lucky you can swim with turtles early morning! Abdul will help you with everything, from where to exchange money, take you to Marsa Alam city to show you traditional shops, negotiate better tours and taxis prices, etc. After dinner all guests would seat together, have some tea and enjoy the beautiful night sky! (I have never seen so many starts!) The rooms were humble but comfortable!I have stayed in Jimmy Hendrix house. The place gets so quiet in the evening that you will have the best repairing sleep of your life! As an eco place, the power is generated only from 5pm to 11pm. There will be no heated water in the shower, but as the weather is always warm, it was fine for me. There is no wifi, I had an Egyptian SIM card so it didn't bother me. Please don't miss the Dolphin House tour they organize! I paid 50€ for a full day tour, with transport and lunch included and yes, there were like a hundred dolphins surrounding me in the water, it is magical! The other guests were all friendly and super interesting people! We ended up grouping and doing tours together! The camp has a hostel vibe and I believe it is perfect for solo travellers, as it promotes meeting other people. If you are looking to have a great "home" base while you explore Red Sea during the days, this is the place! Thanks so much to Abdul and his family for showing me what Egyptian hospitality is all about!

There is nothing I didnt really love, the place is what they stand to be, an eco lodge with basic facilities and great atmosphere! :) The only thing that perhaps could be improved would be the shower water pressure, for people with long hair it becomes challenging.

Fady is a great host with a big heart. He made this place a hot spot for really nice and interesting travellers, 300m from the sea with a very nice sunset (and moonrise) view. Abdul is a great cook, his meals and breakfast are delicious. If you want to go diving and like to spend time outside the big ressorts and on a budget, if you are nice and like to meet other nice travellers - go there!

Infrastructure of the whole region is suepr basic, you will need a taxi for most issues. But rely on Fady, he will help you to get good prices for transport.
