This property it’s one of the best place I have ever stayed at. I have no words for describing the attention to details and the perfect concept of this location. our stay at the lodge was exceptional in any sense. the room are large with a minimalist interior and a wonderful balcony overlooking the Red Sea. the infinity pool it’s wonderful . the restaurant and the service is more then exceptional… greeting you every day like it was the first time you were there and we felt so welcomed. everyday you can watch the sunrise right in front of the property and the Red Sea it’s so full of life and beauty. we did some escursions booked via the hotel and it couldn’t be better . every corner of this lodge it’s so nice and the people that work there make everything even nicer for your stay. Ahmed at the reception went above and beyond to make our stay even more pleasant. keep it up with your beautiful concept of peace and connect with nature cause you are winning . we only wish we could stay longer but we will definitely come back next time we chooce to stay in Marsa alam . thank you so much.

this property it’s perfect !

Highlights: - beautiful reef: just 5 minutes away from the lodge. Here you can find: eagle spotted stingray, blue-spotted sting ray, turtles, moray eels, barracudas, and all the colorful fish from the Red Sea. - service: the staff was really kind and professional. Ahmed (admin) made sure we had everything we needed. - food: high variety of high quality Egyptian food - tour offers: all the excursions were well organized.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Let's start with the secluded location in the middle of the desert this is a must-see. The place is surrounded by desert beauty in its finest form. It is so calm and intriguing. I believe it could be suitable for the filming location. The building is really a piece of art. And the surrounding nature is a true beauty that is not easily found. I would recommend a movie night on a big screen near the place. may be old movies that would be a great add. Also, the beach water is so good. The food is fantastic. You will find a variety of Egyptian dishes. I wish they included beverages for each meal. The staff was so friendly especially Mr.Qabeel. This place is really worth a visit on your trip to Luxor and Aswan you should stop here for a couple of days to conclude your experience with the Sahara beauty mixed with gorgeous beaches. This visit will make you able completely remove yourself from any worries during your stay.

Maybe just the fact that beverages are not included in meals. I also wish local snacks were provided at a reasonable price.

I really appreciate the luxurious minimalism this resort offers. It doesn't offer too many bells and whistles that no one needs—rather, it's quiet, relaxing, and offers good food and service in its restaurant. The food really was tasty (having read the reviews on this site I wasn't sure how that would go)—basically interpretations of classic Egyptian food done slightly better. Service was good, beds and properly were clean and comfortable. Most of all it was quiet, a good place to relax and meditate. Had an excellent massage with Rasha and an interesting tour of El Quseir with my new buddy Ali Youssef.

For taxi rides and excursions, I would shop around with some other local travel agencies before accepting the higher prices advertised at the front desk.

This is a very nice hotel. I stayed for 4 nights and would definitely go back again. The staff were really helpful before and during my stay, giving recommendations for the rest of my trip, changing my room to one with a sea view, fetching me yoga mats, checking weather conditions for snorkelling etc. The Red Sea presentations given each evening by Sonja were exceptional and really make me enjoy scuba diving even more now I know more about the fish behaviour. Omar and Khalif at reception were so warm and friendly - very reassuring and nice as a lone female traveller. The food is tasty, although you only get a choice from a very small menu at breakfast - on full board for lunch and dinner, you don’t get to choose what to eat, although lots of little dishes are served which is nice. The house reef is pretty healthy with lots of fish. Unfortunately it was very windy most days so snorkelling wasn’t recommended (the on-site dive operator puts a flag out to indicate whether snorkelling is ok each day), though I did go once and it was still totally do-able, if a little rough. The dive centre are helpful and friendly, but you must book before noon if you want to go on any trips the following day which caught me out.

The bathroom drains smelled of sewage which is maybe due to the hot weather. A can of coke is €3 which seems expensive even for Egypt. Dessert at dinner was pretty limited - just a piece of fruit (just grapes or an apple) or a small biscuit. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but when on holiday I would have appreciated a bit more. But these small things did not detract from what was a very nice stay.

Food was good, a different menu every day for both lunch and dinner. The vibes at the hotel were calm, but warm and friendly. What we liked the most was that the staff was super friendly and accommodating! They even remembered how we liked our coffee and eggs in the morning.

A slight smell in the bathroom in one of our rooms during the whole stay. Unfortunately, the car we had booked via the reception (with an external company) to go to the airport got cancelled, and this delayed our transport to the airport by roughly 1 hour. The experience was very stressful and although the staff was not to blame for the cancellation itself, the situation was not very well managed towards us as guests and we were not told what was happening when we kept asking for information about the situation. They said this situation would be a learning experience and would be prevented for future guests.

This hotel is a fantastic place to relax and rejuvenate. The rooms and the hotel itself are spacious and comfortable. The only restaurant serves fresh, Egyptian food that we absolutely loved. There’s even a library where you can spend some time, borrow books, explore the local area, or attend interesting daily lectures about sea life or desert geology. The hotel is right on the beach, with a friendly dive center and a nearby riff. The staff is incredibly friendly but maintains a comfortable distance, making it a great place to unwind. We had an amazing 9 days there and definitely want to go back! Oh, and did I mention that the hotel is committed to sustainability? They use reusable glass bottles for the water, recycle the wastewater to grow a garden, and even generate some of their electricity from solar panels. It’s a great place to escape and connect with nature, or simply relax and enjoy your own company.

The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a really good shower and lots of room. We only used the A/C once, but it was perfectly OK. We were conveniently near the pool; the sunbeds and umbrellas were of good quality, placed and moved at our request by a very helpful pool boy. We had absolutely no problem with WiFi, but this maybe depends on the room location. The meals were modest, but tasty and healthy, and we could request more of everything whenever we wished. I found the concept positive of reducing waste by meals being served as opposed to a buffet. The golden masonry was impressive and the whole layout special. The desert gardens, where we strolled a few times, were interesting and we enjoyed a week of perfect rest.

We looked in vain for a comfortable lounge with a table where we could play cards in the evening. I found the library, though interesting, a bit cluttered and the chairs not particularly comfortable. Attention had been paid to detail, such as the Egyptian cotton (I think) bed linen and sweet hand-appliqued cushions, but maintenance was lacking, e.g. a curtain with a tear, and hanging off the rail, gives a negative first impression.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 nights stay here at Wadi Sabarah Lodge and combined it with some house reef diving with emperor divers. Where to begin what we loved the most of our stay: the delicious food, the hospitality and friendly staff, the comfortable room, the house reef and overall such a nice and peaceful setting (big fan of the library room). It’s a place that gives you everything to reload again! Totally recommend staying here.

Maybe one small remark of improvement could be the WiFi connection in the room, but I do know they were working on this. On the other hand, it does help you to deconnect from the day to day rush and there is WiFi in the common areas such as the library, the pool, and the restaurant.

Absolutely all staff were so very helpful and thoughtful. (Thank you.) Nothing seemed to phase them. Carefully designed, buildings with wonderful outlook. Do take some time to examine the fossilised corals etc in the stone from which the place is built! Meals were always freshly prepared, beautifully presented and plentiful, with the option of seconds if need be. Vegetarian food was excellent, as was, I understand from friends, Vegan, and meat. The whole site was kept meticulously clean, including the beach. There are gardens with indigenous plants, including those that attract butterflies and moths. Also a formal fresh water feature, the home of numerous dragonflies: a surprise bonus. The infinity pool is generously sized. Security appears to be excellent, as are safety features eg fire hoses, emergency exit signs, pool Life Guard. Outdoor lighting at night is adequate for safety, but angled downwards, so star gazing is possible. The House Reef is easily accessible from a pier a short walk from the Lodge. The Emperor Divers facility which abuts the Lodge gives options of Shore and Boat diving.

Can't think of anything in this category.
