Pictures on web are true. Walkway/stairs down to private beach is safe. Main pool in middle of property was clean. Umbrellas set up for shade. Pool towels must be requested at front desk. Actually, everything has to be requested at front desk since there are no room phones to dial 0 for assistance. Visited for 3 nights. During my stay, I lost my family heirloom ring. I spoke to front desk staff which contacted Margarita, on site Supervisor. She requested my email to keep in contact should any additional update arise. I checked out and left the property. My heart was heavy as I checked into my other hotel for the remainder of my vacation stay. To my surprise, My emails and correspondence were responded to on a daily basis. The day before leaving back to the US, Margarita wrote me and said she had found my Ring!!! I am highly impressed with the diligence her and her staff displayed. Everyone was on board with looking for it. Front desk and other departments would continuously give me updates on any additional info. Even if there was none, they would address me and say they would keep searching. That helped tremendously. I am so thankful. The staff were remarkably helpful. Truly grateful that Management showed deep concern and interest in helping me. They did not shut me out or dismiss me or my urgent situation. I appreciate the attention to all means of hosting on premises. We had dinner at Pelicanos all 3 nights. Seaside view is spectacular as well as the marvelous sunsets.

The blazing sun. It is the tropics :) Luckily, front desk has Sunscreen for sale.

Awesome views...the ocean pools were great, they would fill up with sea water and the waves come crashing over to freshen the pool. very cool experience. Waves got a little rough so be careful but still lots of fun. Restaurant have great views and food was OK. We stayed there for 5 nights and this restaurant was our least favorite.

Rooms are good and beds were comfortable, the bathroom depending on room were needing updating and the showers in both rooms were slow to drain the water. One thing about the staff...they were ok but hardly anyone smiled or seemed to be happy to be there. The included breakfast was OK... it is hot and if you have fresh cut fruit out you should have it on ice. I don't drink coffee and the free breakfast charged you for water. Omelet stand was OK...depended on who was cooking that day. As a paying guest you still had to pay an extra $15.00 to use the cabanas with the hammocks...even if they were not all used. Many of these resorts have a day pass from 8am to 5pm which overcrowded the place a bit, especially the pool.

beautiful location, although access to the 2 beaches can be rough specially for elders; we had a good time. Don’t expect too much, room doesn’t have fridge or coffee maker but for the price for a family room it was ok.

I really didn’t like the idea of paying $27 extra in order to use the hammocks and a little table. Sorry but that’s greedy. Also, if you planning to eat or drink there be aware restaurant closes at 9pm and without having a fridge to store drinks, cmon!

We liked the options of the different pools and the the beach access. The food at breakfast was always very good, we liked that there was a slight variety everyday instead of the exact same food every morning. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a room that consisted of 2 separate rooms (with locking doors) and a bathroom between the 2 rooms. (We booked for 4 people in one room)

My children were hoping to use the waterslide but it was not open during our stay (Tuesday to Saturday)

I really like Atami Escape Resort, I have so many positive about Atami, great ocean views, cabana ocean views with hamak, private beach, 2 salt water pools made from lava with waves splashing near by, perfect grass and garden upkeep. The security even changed my rental car tire. Just all around excellent service and atmosphere.

I have a recommendation for suites please add a refrigerador seems necessary for a suite.

I had a pool view from a window. About the facility, I did like nature, they are practically on a cliff, so the views are amazing. They also have Three pools and three natural salt water pools; these pools are caused because of the high tides and waves hitting the pools. The natural salt water pools were a great experience. They also have two private beaches, one on each side of the facility. The beaches are a bit rocky though.

I didn't like the staff friendliness, nor accommodating. I arrived about an hour or so early, and they told me I had to wait till check in time. Also, most of the guest are "Day Pass" guest which means they don't stay overnight and are there for the day to experience their facilities.

Breakfast options were excellent: buffet style with very good food. Restaurant Pelicanos is also very good and with nice presentation. The views from the hotel are beautiful, good size pools, clean location, quiet and relaxing.

Delays are long when you order at the main restaurant and service is not quick: not prompt at asking if we need something else, not enough cutlery on tables = need to ask for it, ask for coffee when you’ve been sitting for 10 mins already, ask milk for your coffee twice, ask for your tab, etc. Same if you rent their cabanas; tried to order twice but nobody came back. Maybe some training is missing because it seemed there was enough staff.

I love the grounds, so great and full of foliage! The views of the beaches/oceans was immaculate. The staff was great-and very helpful when they could be. The restaurant had beautiful views! I recommend for the budget.

the size of the rooms were very tiny- although we weren't there much. while taking a shower the water did not drain very fast- something I dislike very much. Many staff don't speak english- means you need to brush up on the spanish.

everything was good in the place! very relaxing place and for the price and all the pools are big and you can use them every time that’s amazing due some people search for relax in the middle of the night

in the restaurant Pelicanos there was a guy that had really bad attitude, He served me the food and threw 2 tortillas on the floor, he started laughing without apologizing and did not have the courage to pick up what was left on the floor, I did it because it looked very bad, then he wanted to charge me twice for a mojito which I told him he was charging me twice, he did not apologize either, I saw him joking with his colleagues throwing heavy boxes, which I noticed from the beginning that he is a very disrespectful person.

Fantastic setting, great views of the ocean and beach. Kid friendly pool was clean and safe. The 2 natural pools close to beach are very cool. Gated resort with 24/7 security, felt safe at all times. Excellent buffet breakfast with some different items each day, fresh juices. Staff very friendly and helpful.

As the resort sits on top a cliff, the perimeter fencing could do with upgrading. We had a 2yr old with us and did not feel safe letting her anywhere near the fencing, some part are broken and some areas even missing. No ice machines on property and no phones in room to contact reception or room service.
