Perfect location, bed very comfortable and great soundproofing of the room. Staff very friendly and helpful with any question or request I had. Fairly good selection of warm options for breakfast (including Tampere speciality mustamakkara!), and also a section of gluten free and vegan groceries. The only pity is the lack of real espresso coffee - only americano style available. I also liked the fact that the room got cleaned upon request, and not automatically every single day, protecting thus the environment.

Windows do not open, the temperature regulation is only possible with the air conditioning system, and that one only works with the card key inserted in the central switch (meaning you can only freshen the air while you are in the room). I do not like sleeping with the cold air beating on my neck and shoulders, so I woke up all sweaty every morning.

A nice hotel with a very helpful and polite staff, very close to the train station and city centre - really great location. Tea and instant coffee with water heater are in the room, and you can find something to eat or drink 24 h per day in a hotel. Room was comfy and warm, especially the bathroom. Sauna (there was sauna for males and females separately) was very welcome addition in this cold winter season. There is also gym but I didn't use it. Although I didn't eat a breakfast because it was too early for me, I saw there was a very rich selection of cold and warm dishes.

The window looked directly to the office building, so employees there could look directly into your bed. There were very thick curtains, which helped a lot. Floor under the bed was not cleaned before my arrival. There are a lot of carpet floors in the hotel. Maybe an useful info for people having allergy problems because of dust and mites (I had some allergy problems in this hotel).

The hotel is next to the train station which is very convenient. Hotel staffs are nice and friendly. The room is comfy, it is not extremely large but large enough for 2 people to stay comfortably with some extra space. The hotel is not in exact town centre but there is a tram station with a 3-5 minutes walk and the town centre just around 10 mins walk. The public sauna is nice as well, large sauna room which is enough for around 6-8 people with 3 showering place. Last but the not the least the breakfast is tasty and have huge variety to choose form. And there is a Ldil just down stair if you want to buy something which is very convenient.

The room furniture is a bit old which feel kind of fragile and unstable. Other than that there is nothing to complain.

Upon reservation, I wrote a wish for late checkout. I got a prompt reply from the reception that it might be possible depending on situation. In the end, I got 2 hours extra time, which turned out to be complimentary to IHG members. Were it not possible, I would still be happy about knowing the situation in advance. So the request was seen and commented at reservation time, and not piled up until arrival. All was very good.

It was one of the best Holiday Inn hotels I ever stayed in. I pretty much loved everything about it - location central, room was clean, sauna available, food was delicious and so much salad, gluten free options. Staff were so nice and helpful. Hotel was very quiet and no noise from other rooms. Bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Lidl’s was just downstairs. And list goes on.

The only thing I didn’t like was probably the price of it. I found it strange that you are not suppose to open the windows. I did manage to have a key as I was feeling claustrophobic.

The room overlooked the station and the town centre, there was no noise from the station or traffic due to excellent sound proofing. The reception was very welcoming and the staff were helpful and efficient. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choice. This is a good hotel with easy access to the main parts of town, ie shops and places of interest.

I think for many English visitors, the food could have been hotter, but perhaps that is how we like our food and our plates.

Great location, very close to the train station and the central city area. Great, professional staff. Clean, efficient sauna/ heatroom. Clean, well functioning room. Didn't do breakfast or other meals.

I am old-fashioned. I prefer bath to shower.

Close to Train station and middle of town. Very nice hotel, good breakfast, and the reception staff printed off work documents for me at various times without charge, and very promptly. Very impressed with the service. Will certainly stay again next time I am in Tampere.
