Situated in a beautiful old building in a fabulous location at the quiet end of the Grand Square in Arras, the Hotel de Trois Luppars provided a simple yet comfortable one night stop on our way back to the Eurotunnel at Calais. While spectacular on the outside, the hotel inside had more of the feel of a hostel. The rooms are a little dated with a 1960/70s vibe to the decor but they are very clean and spacious with a firm, comfortable bed. This was probably one of the quietest and best night's sleep we had on our tour around France. The breakfast was good value and generous.

The shower/bathroom is a little tight for space and inside the shower cubicle is slightly dark and dingy. This is purely as a result of the fact that the hotel rooms have been created inside a very old building and probably unavoidable - but if you like a spacious, modern bathroom or are yourself of a generous build, then this hotel may not be for you. There is no parking at the hotel itself and parking is in the underground car park that runs underneath the Grand Square, a short walk away.

We stayed for two nights, and were happy to have a quiet room up the back. The bed was super comfortable which made for a great night's sleep. Also appreciated having a lift/elevator despite the age of the building. All interactions with the staff were excellent.

I'm not a fan of woolen blankets in hotel rooms simply because I never trust when they were last washed (unlike a duvet cover, which is usually white and obvious if not clean). It's probably just me though.

We requested a walk in shower which was provided - thank you. The hotel is in the very centre of Arras perfectly placed for our two night stay. The hotel is extremely clean and has a lift which was handy as we were on the third floor. The large bed was very comfortable and the towels very soft and fluffy - really nice. We misplaced a mobile phone which was found by the staff and they are kindly posting it back to us so a big thank you to the staff it is very much appreciated.

Just a minor thing we had breakfast which was very large, plentiful and very good value for money but in our opinion could have been just a little bit better if there had been a slice of lovely French ham or even an egg. The Brie cheese was the best we ever had!.

Very friendly reception on arrival. Easy to park in the Grand Place. The hotel is quirky and really well situated for visiting the lovely city of Arras. Breakfast was good and ample.

The room was on the small side but it didn't matter for just one night. Everything in the room was great.

The position was excellent, and the building was historically very interesting. Very close to many good restaurants.

Communal areas all smelt of cigarette smoke. The host was not especially welcoming. Hotel described as having parking, but in fact was only road parking, payable in daytime .

Location is great and history of building is impressive. Friendly owner and staff who serve a great breakfast. It is not a modern layout, but definitely has character. Would definitely return. Also an excellent place directly across the street for Steak.

Nothing.

Central location, parking was not a problem ( this has changed since my last visit, about 20 years ago ) Rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable.

Breakfast was pretty good, but leaned heavily towards carbs, a few slices of ham or Lyoner would be nice. My own personal taste, yours may differ. The WC and Bathroom in our room (41) was pretty tight.

Interesting medieval building but rooms were comfortable and very good breakfast.

The room was not very warm but there was plenty of bedding and the bathroom had it's own heater - ideally there should be an isolator (disjoncteur) for this heater.

Very friendly owner made us most welcome & free from 6pm parking was opposite (see my warning if late arrival). The oldest building in the magnificent Grand Place, nicely ungraded with own bathroom & well priced. Superb location for visiting this impress city & v convenient for Calais ferries or Tunnel. Breakfast looked good, served from about 6.30am but we had to leave to catch ferry.

Quite small room (our choice so no problem). Parking might be difficult if you arrived late as huge public car park opposite did fill up in the evening.
