Diane was a fantastic host. She was very welcoming and thorough in providing us with information regarding our stay and what places we can enjoy in the area. Breakfast was very delicious and filling. The place was also very well located and it was very easy to walk to the points of interests in Bayeux and to the restaurants. We would definitely stay there again if we do return to Bayeux! We also liked that there was available parking for our rental car. It's definitely a big plus for the area.

The stairs were a little difficult to navigate with our luggage, but it was a minor inconvenience, and it did not ruin the overall experience at all.

Aggarthi is literally steps from town and the Bayeux Tapestry - the location could not have been better. From the street that Aggarthi is located on you would never guess that such a beautiful garden oasis awaits on the other side! Amazing grounds and sitting areas. Our room what very charming, clean and comfortable and Dianne was wonderful host - providing a great lay of the land on the town of Bayeux as well as her beautiful B&B upon check-in and her breakfast was fabulous. Fresh pastries, baguettes & cheeses and eggs - magnifique! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

To put it in a few words, this was our best experience in a trip where we visited 5 countries and 8 locations. Having previously been to Paris, arriving at Aggarthe was like finding an Oasis in the middle of the desert. Diane was, in a few words, the best hostess we've met in years of traveling. Always with a smile and eager to help, she made sure that we knew exactly all the things we could do around Bayeux and even made sure we could rent a car during the low season. Breakfast felt like a buffet, even though we were one of two families staying, and her Security Detail (i.e. Gus and the cats) raised the quality by 100 points for dog lovers away from home. The room had everything you could hope for or need and the bed was as comfortable as it gets. We were also provided with free parking space meters away from the location (Great for people who rent cars and don't feel comfortable leaving them on the street)

Idyllic little spot, where you’re able to walk into town within a couple of minutes. Bayeux tapestry literally 300yds away. Parking on sight, extremely useful. Our little dog was welcomed with open arms who enjoyed the enclosed garden and a run around with Gus the hotels dog. There’s a small kitchen available should you want to cook yourself. But there’re so many wonderful restaurants in Bayeux it wasn’t an option we chose. Dianne was a superb host, informing us local places to go and see. Her breakfasts were sublime. I would stay here again.

Maybe a thicker duvet in the room with the bunk beds.

Diane is wonderful! She makes you feel at home right away. Her bed and breakfast is beautiful and we all enjoyed the lovely garden and the comfortable beds. The breakfast was also quite good, especially for people with a regular diet. Note: overall Bayeux has few options for plant-based individuals.

Having to leave the beautiful location and Diane. My little dog was seriously sad to leave the lovely garden and the chickens. Overall though there is nothing not to like!

Warmth of reception. Dianne showed us the map of town and was very welcoming and helpful. The whole property was a French delight. Large shared breakfast table and the same in the garden. Lovely breakfast. Eggs from her chickens! We could walk to town for a huge selection of restaurants and historical places. She was very knowlegable about local history.

We were up a stair! Lovely room and bathroom but better on the ground floor! Next time!!

Our stay at Aggarthi was one of our favorites of our entire trip. Diane was so friendly and has curated a very beautiful Bed and Breakfast. The garden is phenomenal and we enjoyed just sitting out and relaxing. The room was a good size for two people and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. It is very close to the best restaurants and activities to see in Bayeux as well. There is even a very comprehensive guide book that she has put together to help visitors pick from the many great places in the town. All in all this was a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Bayeux.

There was nothing we disliked about Aggarthi.

The property is absolutely amazing! We were greeted and walked through the amazing property. It was a home away from home. The owner also helped us plan our day in Normandy and gave us the historical background. When we had to leave early for the train she changed breakfast to accommodate us with an amazing spread of food for 9 people. It was our favorite place that we stayed on our vacation. We should have spent more time there. We will be back again!

It was perfect.

This is an enchanting walled home that has been meticulously taken care of! We loved every moment we spent inside this lovely property! Diane is charming and quite willing to go the extra mile to ensure the stay is comfortable and top notch!

I loved everything about the property and our suite! I loved the dog Gus and the penned animales like the goose, the rabbit and all the hens! There is a charming pergola to hang out with a beautiful long dining table and chairs. The breakfast room is elegant!

This bed and breakfast is so special-- it's really one of a kind! The hostess is beyond lovely and welcoming-- she prepared the most gorgeous breakfast possible, with eggs, yogurt, French toast, fresh fruit, bread, cheese, meat.... it was sumptuous. The breakfast room is so lovely-- my daughters said this was the most wonderful place we have ever stayed, because it has so much warmth and personality. The garden is such a wonderful amenity. And the dogs who live on the property just add to the charm. We loved our stay here!!!!
