Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with TV and WiFi throughout. The shower was very nice with a rain showerhead fitted as well as an adjustable hand held shower head. We also enjoyed the breakfast which had a selection of croissants, locally made jams and honey, fresh yoghurt, selection of cured meats and cheeses, cereal and a selection of cakes including mini caneles :) There is a lift available which was good for my elderly mum.

Note that the bathroom and toilet are separate with no washbasin in the toilet. This might be usual in France though, unsure as it's my first time :)

great location and decent standard hotel for the price we paid

the room was a little on the small side for 2people and no real area to get ready eg no mirror for my partner to do her makeup and when we came to check out we asked for a taxi to the airport, the gentleman called us a taxi in what seemed his personal phone! I didn’t read to much in to that until the taxi didn’t seem to have a meter and charged us 55 euros for a 25-30 euro trip at the time we where travelling I found this infuriating as the only explanation was that there was added in charge going back to the receptionist so be carful if planning to do the same.

The building is very nice and authentic. Could be a 4 star from that aspect, the room though is 3 star indeed.

We appreciate the efforts on trying to be eco-responsible. BUT having a shower where one can’t control the too high water pressure is not in line with what you promote. In times where water is restricted in this area, this is somewhat irresponsible.

The best location. Super clean. Staff always kind to help and answer all questions. Fresh delicious breakfast. We needed a lobby to relax but they were renovating it. We looked from window and it looks amazing. Back in history. We are sure when its done, it will be beautiful. If we visit again Bordeaux we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Too small room although was a superior. The toilet is a next door to the bathroom and washbasin.

Excellent location. Exceptionally helpful, friendly staff. We arrived after midnight, feeling exhausted as our plane had been delayed by 4 hrs. The ladies at the reception we’re there to greet us and made us feel very welcome, ensured we relaxed and made us a hot drink and took our suitcases to our room. Hotel was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice shower and lovely little balcony to sit and watch the sun come up. Fridge in room to keep water cool etc and hairdryer in bathroom with decent mirror/lighting. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Quiet location, despite being off a little side street. Most of the transportation is electric so very little noise and very clean city. Most people either walk, cycle or use the tram system. Felt very safe and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Lots to see and do. Wonderful historic buildings, cathedral is free to enter and some amazing shops. Short walk to the river. Everyone was so friendly and polite.

It was low key botique hotel in perfect spot! We absolutely loved our room and the comfortable bed. They have a new bar and breakfast that is exceptional.

The bathrooms are small. Room service is minimal. The amenities are also minimal…one soap in shower for body and hair and hand soap. Towels are not taken everyday but there is no where to hang 2, and they stay wet!

This hotel was in a perfect location in the centre of a beautiful city, we were not disturbed by nightlife as this hotel street was a short side street away. We were met by a really nice recpetionist who helped with a disability scooter we had with us. The airconditioning in the room was superb which kept us comfortable during the 3 nights we had at 42C heat wave. The baclony was a nice touch and a novelty to be able to enjoy a renaissance period life a few days.

The breakfast was a little dis-organised at times, items could have been replenished before they ran out reducing the waiting times. But this is Bordeaux and plenty of choice near by. The lift was OK but quite small and not suitable for mobility type aids.

It’s a unique property, close to the centre, beautiful exterior, lobby, bar. Liked staff and breakfast.

While the exterior fittings look lovely, the actual bedroom was quite ordinary although it was deemed a superior room. I paid too much for the room, not realising that the premium price reflected demand during the World Cup, rather than a special room.

Beautiful hotel close to all attractions & restaurants. Staff where very friendly & helpful. Rooms where very spacious & clean . Highly recommend this hotel

The breakfast was ok the food was not being replenished in a timely manner even after speaking to staff.

Quiet location, it is convenient to reach most of the places in Bordeaux City Centre by leisure walk. The room is spacious, simply decorated but practical for short stay.

If the shower has water volume control, it will be better.
