The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the old city, not far from the river with plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. The room was quiet.

The configuration of our room was a bit strange with the shower and wash basin being part of the bedroom itself. The toilet was enclosed but very small. I don't know if all the rooms were like this. To be fair, when we were given the room, the receptionist said we could change it if we wanted to.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is absolutely perfect, very centrally located. Affordable pricing

Unfortunately they had a hall way door in front of the elevator on the second floor that slammed way too loud every time someone got off the elevator. This woke me up in my sleep several nights and morning as it was quite annoying. I would recommend removing that door. Also someone set off the fire alarm another night forcing us all to evacuate the hotel. This caused bad sleep habits during the trip but I also see that hall way door as a fire hazard if elevator is not working.

It was a great location with great restaurants, plenty of sites to view and some great bars. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I found our room very cosy and the mattress was comfortable and I slept very well during my stay, I found that we were at the centre of everything. The price of the suite was very good for being at the centre of bordeau.

I have nothing to add here as I liked everything.

The Hotel de la Presse is in the centre of Bordeaux and still, there was no traffic, full of live but still it became quiet at night. The hotel isn’t very large but it has lots of french character. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast room and the breakfast invites one to stay for hours to read or talk with your friends. If you like a good coffee you are at the right place. Everything is „around the corner“ and there is no need to call for a taxi or use public transport (it is all there and works as well if needed). We stayed for a week, we should have stayed for two and we will come back and we will stay at the Hotel de la Presse again.

Absolutely nothing to complain

Couldnt be more central. Right in the beautiful historic part of town with lots of restuarants/bars near. Helpful staff and friendly. Comfy bed. Very clean. Good breakfast. Reasonably good value.

A bit noisy, but thats a consequence of being so central. Room decor was a bit drab, could have done with a few pictures on the walls, especially given the room window faced a blank wall.. Room, and bathroom, were a bit poky and there isnt much storage space. Taxi had to drop us off a distance from the hotel, but that's not the hotel's fault - cars arent allowed in the historic centre during the day

Modern fixtures, distinctive features. Amazing location steps from restaurants and historic sites. The legendary tram system will whisk you to the train station in ten minutes.

I chose a small room, so it was a slightly strange shape, but I know that might be the case with a small room. If you have very heavy bags, note that a small number of the rooms involve lifting bags over 3-4 steps - the lift goes almost all the way. You may wish to request a room that is not at the very top is this is an issue. My room faced the street so it was noisy at times; other rooms would face other directions.

Lovely friendly hotel right in the heart of the shopping and restaurants opposite galleries Lafayette. Room was a good size with en-suite shower room. Staff is accommodating and friendly with 24 hr reception. They hold luggage before and after your stay.

My room did face the main street, and it was still very loud. There were people busking outside my window for hours in the evening, and at night, there were loud parties.

Comfortable bed, central location, quiet and calm in the night, good price for the location, 24/7 reception.

Bathroom and toilet are not private at all even in comfort rooms, they are a part of the bedroom itself (not suitable for not-so-close friends or colleagues). Receptionist did not know about airport taxi prices (would consider a basic reception should-know). A bit older furnishing.

It was a brilliant location and unbelievably quiet, considering how central it was. The staff were lovely and, although the room was simple, it had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was good. It worked out to be great for us as our flight was significantly delayed so it was a very late arrival but it was still really easy to get to from the airport and staff were available to us when we finally got there.

Kindness, availability of the people at reception. Location of the Hotel: super central, close to main points of interest, close to the Tram stops. The room was clean. The Wifi was free and good.

The hotel needs to be refurbished and also the furniture, the curtains need to be changed. They are not well kept so it can give the impression of dirtiness. The moquet, luckily only in the corridors and at stairs, makes it shabby.
