A really welcoming and friendly, family-run business. Both owners were very helpful and spoke English with me (flawlessly I might add). I travelled with my dog who barks if left alone - so the owner was very kind in bringing my breakfast to the reception area where I could eat with my dog (dogs are not allowed in the restaurant). Also - there’s a large park one block from the hotel which was perfect for walking the dog.

EV charging was ok - it’s worth booking this in advance if you want it as there are only 2 chargers in the garage. The garage is quite tight too - I have a Tesla Model Y and I was ok to get in and out. Charging was also quite expensive at about 0.80€ /kw.

It's old but has real charm. Lots of antique touches, high ceilings, nice lounge bar and dining room. Very quiet and central location. Very comfortable room with everything you need and a nice garden view (in my case). I asked for a ground floor room and that's what I got. Has a sense of charm about the place. Free on-street parking outside.

Bar lounge didn't seem open (very few guests in March). No mini-bar but there was tea and coffee. I don't think there is room service bit could be wrong. However you are only a 5-10 minute walk to squares with bars, cafes, restaurants etc.

The location of the hotel is great. It is close to restaurants and parks. It was easy to get to most attractions by foot. I arrived by train and was able to walk to the hotel with my luggage. It is also close to a bus stop for the transfer to the port for the ferry to cross the channel. The hotel entrance is beautiful. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast was good. The room was small and had an odd layout, but it was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is such a little gem. Dog friendly. We loved our stay. Our room was pristinely clean and very comfortable. Shower was excellent. We loved the warm and comfortable ambiance of the lobby/bar area and the grandeur of the breakfast room. Selection of food at breakfast buffet was excellent. All very fresh and of good quality. Parking available in front of the hotel, well lit and designated bays. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. A little park nearby was really good for dogs. But the best thing of all was how friendly, relaxed and helpful staff were. It made the whole experience so much more comfortable and memorable.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Meurice and it absolutely delivers on all the important aspects. We had been travelling through Belgium and France and had stayed in some very well presented hotels/apartments but the basics are comfort, cleanliness, quiet, friendly staff, location and free parking. Hotel Meurice has it all-we’ll be back!

Would’ve loved to try the breakfast but the bed was so comfortable and the room so quiet that we overslept!!

Our fifth visit so can't be bad! An elegant hotel, well located and with a lovely entrance and dining room. Good breakfast too.

We had a budget room so it was quite small but adequate. Toiletries provided but the refreshment box hadn't been refilled so tea/ coffee and milk were absent until we asked staff for refills. So attention to small touches might be improved/ returned to former levels. Nevertheless this is good value for money and we'd go again

Loved the “old-world” charm and ambience. Good quality bedding & towels. Slept very well. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The underground parking was very useful too.

Bathroom was tired and no stand-alone shower so could do with an upgrade. The quality of the cooked breakfast was poor & cold and on Day 1 the rolls were hard and inedible. Not really good value for money at €15 each.

We really like this hotel and have stayed here 4 times now. During COVID, the whole place was renovated and it really looks good. The hotel is in a great location for restaurants and there is a local park for walking dogs in. The beach is within walking distance, if you like a good walk. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the place is dog-friendly, which is always a plus. Should you be looking for a good restaurant for moules frites, try the L'hovercraft, right around the corner.

my wife is left side disabled after suffering a stroke. so we booked a wheel chair accessible room. the room was big also the shower room was massive. we were pleasantly surprised. The staff told us we couldn’t access the hotel from the front as it was a listed building so they couldn’t put a ramp out the front. however the receptionist took us around the rear of the hotel where they had built a ramp in the garden accessible to the hotel. which was great also our room was on the ground floor. The staff said they would leave the doors open so we could come and go as we pleased. it worked really well. There is plenty of outside parking. the bed was comfortable the whole room was spotless. also there was a bottle of still water along with coffee and tea making supplies. There was plenty of choice for breakfast cooked or continental. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

A lovely classical hotel that is the perfect stopping point ahead of using the channel tunnel. My family first stayed at the hotel over 40 years ago and it still has the same charm and classical feel. All the staff are friendly, the room was clean and up to standard and breakdfast had a good selection. The hotel is in walking distance of all the best restaurants and bars and parking is easy. It has everything you need for the perfect, stress-free stopover.

We were in the suite that had shared bathroom for multiple people which wasn't a problem, but the automatic light mean that if anyone got up in the night to go to the loo it flooded the room with light which wasn't ideal for others who were asleep.
